Chapter 17: Elsa Takes Over

Chapter 17

It's been a year since we joined Fairy Tail, and during that time we've become noticeably stronger in terms of magic. Even now, we can be considered a stable average B rank just by our magic reserves, but my friend and I decided, or rather I insisted, that until we make or buy Elsa at least one really good armor and sword, we won't go on combat missions. Even though this caused us to have a quarrel, albeit not a big one, I didn't back down. I didn't want my friend to suffer because of insufficient training. Even I, despite the ability to use almost annihilating attacks, understand that lack of experience in the event of some surprise can play a cruel joke on me. Although who am I kidding, if the master hadn't heard our argument then, I'm not sure that I would have been able to fully defend my position. I have too much weakness in relation to Elsa and she understands it, although she doesn't use it.

As for our success in magic? Everything is probably great here. I was able to stabilize my telekinesis magic, although I stopped at the point where I could support my body. Then I took up cold magic closely and achieved quite good success and my progress overtook telekinesis magic, which I had been practicing for almost 9 months. The only thing that upsets me is that I still haven't been able to find that missing part that gives the magic the dragon attribute, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Elsa has already achieved great success in telekinesis magic, she can simultaneously control up to 50 objects, although it seems to me that with the way she has developed multitasking, she has a talent for mind magic, but this is not important, she has finally switched to pyro- and cryokinesis, in principle, it is not surprising that she quickly mastered them at a sufficient level for battles. In principle, it is not surprising because these are branches of telekinesis.

We have also advanced in blacksmithing, we can now make blades from common metals. Our first daggers are still hanging on the wall in our room. Everything is fine with finances, too, I slowly started getting healing missions and even started to gain a little reputation. But I kind of liked it, but I didn't want the title of "Heavenly Maiden" to stick to me, I wanted something cooler like "Storm Princess" and the like, but it's my own fault that I'm against combat missions. In general, the payment for the forge made for us and a room in the dorm for a year in advance was enough to eat, treat ourselves a little and even put aside for future weapons for Elsa. In short, if we don't start going on combat missions soon, we will simply succumb to the comfort of our current situation.

Now, as usual after training, we were sitting in the shade of a tree near the guild. More precisely, Elsa was sitting, and as usual, I grabbed her knees.

- Hey Elsa. How about trying to negotiate with Freya so that she can loan you some gear? We're only missing half of our stash, and as much as I don't want to put us in danger, we need to start gaining experience. - I said, turning over on my back and looking into my friend's face.

- Debt. I'm not sure I'd like to get into debt. I suggest we just take the armor for now, and I'll only use magic to hit. Besides, we won't be going on missions higher than rank C anyway, so I don't understand why you're worried. - I had nothing to say to my friend's answer, I was really too fixated on collecting a full set of equipment for Elsa.

-Oh, you're right. I'm overdoing it with caution. Let's go to Freya's tomorrow then.

-Finally. It took you a long time to decide.

- Well, forgive me for being too cautious, after all, I'm more afraid of dark guilds than monsters. Although okay, I went too far here, the two of us should be able to deal with almost all the extras of most dark guilds by sheer force.

-That's it, that's it. Listen to your little sister Elsa more often and you won't feel stupid.

Hearing my friend's words, I decided that it was worth embarrassing her a little, so I planned to quickly peck her on the cheek and run away to the dorm. But it was a surprise when she turned around at that moment and instead of a cheek, her lips met me. From surprise, I fell into a stupor for a moment and everything apparently went exactly the opposite because it was not my grinning red-haired friend who blushed, but me! Although my escape remained unchanged, and a little laughter from Elsa only added to my acceleration.
