Pitiful Young Master in a Reversed World

Chapter 11

Chapter 11

Even if I don't necessarily try to run away, don't I have a powerful weapon?

Snow-white hair like fresh snow, blue eyes as clear as the sky.

A sharp nose bridge and flawless skin without a single scar.

'It's a miracle the second sister hasn't laid her hands on me.'

That's how beautiful I looked, to the point such thoughts crossed my mind.

No matter how much Hamila was obsessed with lust, she wouldn't touch her family,

but it was a face that could at least inspire those kinds of 'thoughts'.

Of all the toys I've seen Hamila play with so far, I was the most handsome.

-You ask who I want to save?.....There is. Someone like that.

I pricked up my ears at Beya's voice.

That sounds like me.

Has Beya met anyone else here besides me?

There shouldn't be anyone else.

I let out a sigh of relief.

Still, thinking that my life was at least guaranteed gave me some peace of mind.

But I couldn't completely let my guard down.

I felt the need to get even closer to Beya so she wouldn't develop any other intentions.

'She definitely stared at my neck.'

I recalled Beya glaring at my neck and chest with burning eyes.

What is needed for a man and woman to get closer quickly?

There's a saying, "As the days pass, those who have left become more distant."

Which means, as time goes by, memories of the dead gradually fade away.

It's basically the idiom version of 'out of sight, out of mind.'

So, if being physically apart leads to emotional distance,

then conversely, if you're physically close, your hearts might grow closer too.

What if you're so close that you're practically touching?

Wouldn't that make your hearts incredibly close as well?

-Right, I'll keep passing on the information I gather each night, so be ready. I'm hanging up.

After confirming that Beya's voice no longer came from the magic device, I quietly stood up and pulled out a book summarizing the characteristics of each race from the bookshelf.

Co-authored by humans, bear beastkin, and Wood Elves, this book was quite famous for its objectivity.

'I'm sure there was information about vampires in this book.'

I carefully examined the book's table of contents.

Humans, dwarves, Wood Elves, Dark Elves, High Elves, Snow Elves.......

My finger moved down the table of contents.

Mermaids, sirens, harpies, bear beastkin, wolf beastkin........here it is. Vampires.

I opened to the page containing information about vampires.

'One of the Race of the Night, vampires, according to the goddess's status window, all possess the trait called "Bloodsucking"...........

They are also known to have a unique sense that can discern a person's purity?'

Discern a person's purity? Does that even make sense?

It's not like vampires are unicorns or anything.

Or... are they?

If mere beasts like unicorns can sense a person's purity,

then maybe it's only natural for vampires to be able to do at least that much.

Come to think of it, I think I heard somewhere in my previous life that vampires prefer the blood of virgins.

'So is that why Beya kept staring at me like that?'

If she already knew I was a virgin, then things would be easier.

The answer would be a physical assault.

*

"Louis."

I looked up at the voice calling my name.

"I heard you got a new toy."

Second sister, Hamila Cartio, said, resting her chin on one hand.

"Yeah, Mother gave her to me as a gift."

"Mother did?"

Glancing at Mother, Hamila smirked as if amused.

"Can I take a look sometime?"

I glanced around.

Mother was absorbed in eating as if she didn't care at all.

Father was pretending not to listen but was actually paying close attention to our conversation, Zenia was grinning at me,

and Luia was picking at her food with a troubled look on her face.

"Louis?"

I frowned at Hamila's voice.

"For what?"

"Oh, come on, can't family at least share a toy or two?"

"Bullshit."

Should I just throw this fork?

I gripped the fork I was holding tightly.

What kind of reaction would she have if I threw this fork at that excuse for a human?

"Louis, watch your language with your sister."

Father, who had been listening in, immediately intervened.

Despite the hostile glare I kept sending, Hamila just smiled sweetly and continued.

"It's just a toy, right? I don't know why you're so angry."

"Typical of a woman who has killed countless men."

"Thanks for the compliment."

Talking to her was utterly pointless.

I ignored Hamila and focused on my meal.

Staying away from her was the best choice from the start.

"Zenia."

"What?"

Apparently deciding she wouldn't get any information from me, Hamila called out to Zenia.

"You know that woman Mother gave to Louis as a gift? You've seen her, right?"

"No?"

"Don't lie."

I casually put some bacon in my mouth.

I didn't know why Zenia was lying, but it was good for me.

There was absolutely no benefit to Hamila finding out about Beya.

"I'm serious. Besides, Hamila, you should worry about your own toys. Last time, you left one locked up until it starved to death and ended up ruining an entire room."

At Zenia's words, Hamila instead glared back at her with an annoyed look.

"Ugh, I told you that was an honest mistake. How long are you going to keep mocking me over one little slip-up?

And it was Father's black magic on the toy that ruined the room, so why blame me?"

"A mistake is only a mistake if it's within reason. Do you have any idea how disappointed Father was about that?"

Father, who had been quietly listening, finally spoke up.

"Hamila. That was a bit much. You admit it, don't you?"

".....Yes."

"That man was quite a fine specimen. Would've been perfect as a sacrifice."

Father wasn't normal either.

The fact that he, with Snow Elf blood, practiced black magic instead of elemental magic or spirit summoning said it all.

It was clear why a rare Snow Elf like Father had ended up with Mother.

Father was a black magician.

A black magician who regarded human lives as worthless as stones.

Mother was the boss of a crime syndicate, and Father was a black magician.

I had no idea where my eldest sister was or what she was doing, and my second sister was just insane.

The third sister was a bit better than the second, but honestly, I didn't see much difference.

The whole family was a complete mess.

Even though they were family, I couldn't see them in a good light at all.

I quickly finished my meal and stood up.

"I will excuse myself now."

*

"Beya, may I come in?"

"Come in."

I opened the door and entered Beya's room.

"I brought your meal."

At the mention of food, Beya's gaze lingered on my neck before belatedly shifting to the dishes I brought.

"Ah, thank you."

Beya took a bite of toast and looked at me.

"L-Louis...?"

"Is something wrong?"

Beya called me in a trembling voice.

The reason for her trembling voice was obvious.

Because I was taking off my outer garment right in front of her.

"You now......"

"Ah, it's just a bit hot. If you don't like it, I'll keep it on. I might get a bit sweaty trying to endure the heat, but it can't be helped."

".....I don't care. Do as you please."

I smiled sweetly at her and then 'slowly' took off my outer garment.

Beya couldn't even think of chewing the food in her mouth.

"Beya."

"Yes?"

"Does the meal not suit your taste? You haven't eaten much."

Only then did Beya start chewing her food.

After confirming that, I lay down on Beya's bed and waited for her to finish eating.

Rolling around on the bed and rubbing my scent all over it, I glanced at Beya.

Just then, I noticed a stick with beads on it placed nearby.

"Beya, is that perhaps something I brought you?"

Beya's restless gaze, which had been darting at me, suddenly fixed on me.

I pointed my finger at the thing Beya was hiding.

"What?......! Th-this is......."

Perhaps she had completely forgotten about the stick, as she glanced behind her with a nonchalant expression and then freaked out.

"Yes?"

"Who knows?! I'm not really sure myself."

"Then why were you staring at it the whole time?"

".....Because I don't know either, yeah. I was just trying to figure out what it's for."

"So, did you figure out its purpose?"

"No. I told you, I don't know."

I stroked my chin and said.

"But yesterday, you clearly said you knew and would tell me......."

Beya's cheeks turned as red as her hair.

No matter how I looked at it, she seemed to know, but to protect Beya's dignity, I decided not to ask further.

"Then why did Zenia give this to you? Should I go ask her?"

At my words about going to ask Zenia, Beya frantically waved her hands.

"Should I not go?"

"There's no need to go out of your way to find out, right?"

"Is that so...?"

Beya quickly nodded.

Well, that was enough.

After all, I only wanted to tease Beya.

"Beya, is there anywhere you want to go today?"

After thinking for a moment, Beya finally spoke.

"I want to visit the library again."

"The library?"

I tilted my head.

There shouldn't be much to see in the library.

Mostly novels, and a few books we got from Black Robe, but that was it.

'Could she have already found out about the secret passage?'

No matter how famous an adventurer Beya was, that seemed unlikely.

I reluctantly nodded.
