Playing As Gojo Satoru in Naruto

Chapter 108: Chapter 108

"!"

Haku barely dodged in midair. The flames scorched the edge of his pants, giving off a burnt smell.

Dodging that move took too much time. If he stayed out any longer, Sasuke might follow his movements.

Haku quickly slipped into the nearest mirror again, then immediately threw more senbon, smashing Naruto's clones to the ground.

No way—has he really figured out my speed?!

Peeking through the gap in his mask, Haku watched Sasuke with a hint of unease.

Even jonin couldn't break this secret jutsu, and this kid could already keep up with his movements?

No... it had to be luck.

Haku forced himself to stay calm and stayed alert, watching both Naruto and Sasuke through the mirrors.

Meanwhile, Sasuke's mind was racing.

Letting Naruto keep using clones was kind of a waste—it used a lot of chakra.

If he could just force Haku out of the mirrors, he'd be able to track him.

While Sasuke was thinking, the mirrors around them began to flash with blinding white light again.

Using the mirrors to reflect light—this was Haku's trick to create a short visual blind spot before an attack.

"Get out of here, Naruto! Attack him from outside!"

Sasuke quickly formed hand signs, scanning every direction Haku might strike from near Naruto.

"Ah—okay! Got it!"

Naruto didn't have time to think and just nodded, sprinting toward a gap between the mirrors.

Haku's eyes narrowed. Even if they could read his movements, no one could move as fast as him inside the mirrors.

Trying to escape? How naive.

"You really think you can pull that off?"

Haku shot out of one of the mirrors and charged straight at Naruto.

"Fire Release: Fireball Jutsu!"

How many times were they going to use the same jutsu?

Inside these mirrors, their movements looked almost frozen.

They were like sitting targets.

Haku dodged the flames with a slight shift of his body, then threw senbon at Sasuke.

At the same time, he struck Naruto, who had just reached the edge of the mirrors, and knocked him back hard.

"Uwaaah—!"

Naruto was sent flying and landed hard on the ground.

When he looked up, Haku had already disappeared into the ice mirrors, looking as flawless as ever.

I'm almost used to his speed now!

If we keep this up, we'll slowly wear down Haku's chakra. The senbon have left them covered in bloody cuts, but there are no deadly wounds.

They still have a chance to win!

"This is good. Let's do it again."

Sasuke said to Naruto, who was just getting back on his feet.

Right now, Naruto didn't have time to think. He had to trust Sasuke completely and work with him if they wanted to beat Haku.

After answering, Naruto split up and ran in the opposite direction from Sasuke. As long as one of them got out,

they could attack Haku from both sides.

"I won't let things go your way."

Since Haku was ordered to capture them alive, he held back instead of going for the kill.

But even so, he was starting to feel the pressure. These two looked like they were wasting energy, but they were actually figuring out his speed.

Naruto was still manageable, but Sasuke was starting to read his movements.

I have to take care of him first!

"Ugh!"

A blinding flash came from the ice mirrors. A thin senbon needle shot into Sasuke's leg, and just as he paused, more followed, piercing him at once.

"Sasuke!"

Naruto stopped in worry and quickly turned to check on Sasuke.

"This isn't the time to get distracted."

Haku's voice came from above, and a wave of senbon hit Naruto squarely.

...

Kakashi pulled up his forehead protector, revealing the Sharingan underneath.

But the thick mist filled with chakra made it nearly impossible, even for the Sharingan, to track Zabuza's movements.

"Even a Kirigakure ninja can't see anything in mist this thick!"

Kakashi frowned, clearly troubled.

"I'm the Demon of the Hidden Mist, a master of silent killing. I don't need to see to get the job done."

Zabuza's mocking voice came from the fog.

It's been a long time since I fought under such tough conditions.

Kakashi's eyes darted around quickly, scanning the mist for any sign of Zabuza.

He could hear the voice, but couldn't see Zabuza at all.

Even with the fog, Naruto and Sasuke's cries from inside the ice mirrors were impossible to ignore. No matter what Haku's reason was, those kids' screams were affecting Kakashi's judgment.

He took a deep breath, barely moving, to calm himself. He had to trust them. He needed to focus on figuring out Zabuza's next move.

If it were him, where would he strike from?

"Damn it!"

Kakashi suddenly appeared in front of Sakura—

Zabuza's massive sword came crashing down and slashed deep into Kakashi's chest.

The air instantly filled with the sharp smell of blood. The white mist turned red in an instant.

"Ahhhh!!!"

Sakura's scream rang out.

Kakashi bent forward slightly, clutching his bleeding chest with one hand, shielding Sakura as he stepped back.

He had managed to avoid a fatal hit, but the blow still landed hard.

"You're too slow, Kakashi. You wanted to save those two students so badly, you lost your cool."

"Maybe in a little while, Haku will take care of both of them."

"No matter who the opponent is, no one can break Haku's secret technique."

It's not just a battle of Ninjutsu—mind games are just as important.

Haku was trained personally by Zabuza, and Zabuza trusts him enough to believe he can handle those two kids.

Zabuza slightly lifted his head, eyes locked on Kakashi with full confidence, then his figure slowly disappeared into the thick mist.

"Nothing's more boring than listening to someone brag."

"Sakura, stay close to Tazuna and protect him."

Zabuza's move just now was strange. He clearly had the chance to slip behind Tazuna and take him out with one strike, but instead, he chose to appear in front of Sakura.

Maybe their real goal isn't to kill Tazuna at all.

Kakashi needs to figure out what these two are really after.

He can't just sit back and take the hits—he needs to take the initiative and drag Zabuza out.

After giving Sakura a quick instruction, Kakashi rushed alone into the thick fog.

Even though he doesn't exactly like the three kids in Team 7, what kind of teacher could stand by and listen to someone look down on his students?
