Playing As Gojo Satoru in Naruto

Chapter 107: Chapter 107

When it came to pure battle experience, Haku and Zabuza were clearly far above Team 7.

Even if Kirigakure wasn't as bloody and violent as it used to be, they were still number one when it came to assassination.

Tourism might be growing, but you don't forget your roots.

Hatake Satoru sat casually on the shaky railing of the bridge, taking apart some explosives and tossing the pieces into the sea behind him.

The timers on the bombs were torn and messed up—he clearly didn't care if they went off while he was working on them.

"This fog is thick... this feels more like an assassination than a capture."

But if you don't go into a fight ready to kill, there's probably not much worth watching anyway.

Hatake Satoru gave a light laugh as his black silhouette slowly faded into the sea mist.

The water around Naruto and Sasuke turned into countless mirrors, sealing them inside like an icy dome.

Haku's image slowly merged into one of the mirrors—and suddenly, every mirror around them showed Haku's reflection.

"So many... mirrors."

The ice mirrors had appeared so suddenly, their brightness and shine almost blinding.

Naruto couldn't tell if it was his eyes or the mirrors themselves, but he had no idea which one showed the real Haku.

"This is bad."

Kakashi immediately understood what was happening the moment he saw the mirrors and rushed toward them.

That kid could already form hand signs with one hand—that alone was impressive. But now he was pulling off a jutsu they'd never even seen before.

Naruto and Sasuke had talent, sure—but they were still just kids with barely any real battle experience.

Getting trapped inside like this is just way too risky.

"Your fight is with me."

Good. Just keep those two brats stuck there.

Split them up, then we can just take them back later.

Zabuza and Haku had already planned this out — separate the teacher and student.

No matter if Zabuza wins or loses out there, Haku can still grab them and finish the mission.

Zabuza held his giant blade in one hand and suddenly stepped in front of Kakashi.

"If you make a move, I'll kill those two behind you."

Of course, he was just bluffing to throw Kakashi off.

If Kakashi managed to get into Haku's ice mirrors, their mission would basically be over.

Even though the Sharingan can't copy Haku's secret technique, Kakashi didn't survive this long by being weak.

Zabuza glanced at Tazuna, who was being protected behind Sakura. That guy wasn't just Kakashi's responsibility.

Before all this, Zabuza and Haku had also been secretly working behind the scenes to protect Tazuna in their own way.

"Ahhhhhhh!!"

Right after a short pause, screams from Sasuke and Naruto suddenly came from inside the ice mirrors.

Kakashi hesitated for just a second.

But there's no way he'd just let Zabuza kill their client. And Sakura was there too.

Just a moment ago, Naruto and Sasuke were holding their own against Haku. Now, Kakashi could only trust them to survive.

This is bad. No matter how you look at it, things are really bad.

Kakashi frowned deeply.

"Those two can't kill, can they? Even if they manage to beat Haku's jutsu, they wouldn't be able to actually go through with killing."

"That's the foolishness of your peaceful education. A ninja who can't kill is useless."

Zabuza chuckled quietly as he raised his hand in front of him.

Suddenly, a thick fog rolled in, covering everything around them. Kakashi could only watch as Zabuza vanished into the mist.

Naruto and Sasuke were sitting inside the ice mirrors, looking pretty beat up. Ever since Haku set up these mirrors, he moved so fast their eyes couldn't keep up at all.

They'd been on the defensive the whole time, unable to follow Haku's movements.

The mirrors flashed, and the next thing they knew, needles were slicing their skin.

"I'm not losing to you! I still want to be recognized by everyone, I still want to become Hokage!"

"There's no way I'm stopping here!"

Naruto stared at the mirrors, teeth clenched. Inside every single mirror was Haku's cold mask.

"I have someone important to me too. Everything I do — my actions, my fights — are for him. His dream is my dream."

"So… I won't let my teacher down. I won't let this mission fail."

Haku said this quietly but firmly, then started moving through the mirrors at lightning speed.

Wanting to finish the mission is a good mindset, but to think he ended up with a personality like this…

Hatake Satoru rubbed his chin, thoughtful. Back when he left Kirigakure, he didn't know things had turned out like this with Zabuza.

Now, these two are still fine and serving as ninjas of Kirigakure Village. That whole "outcast ninjas relying on each other" thing from the original story has now turned into being crazy loyal to their teacher.

Come to think of it, Kirigakure Village really does tend to produce these kinds of pairs.

Hatake Satoru suddenly remembered Hozuki Mangetsu's face. Well, whatever, it's probably not his fault.

"So what if I failed once? I'm not giving up because of that!"

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Naruto formed the hand signs in front of him — and in the next second, a crowd of shadow clones rushed forward.

No matter how fast something is, it can still be seen through.

Sasuke pressed his lips together and focused completely on the clone of Naruto that had jumped into the air.

Although it was hard to follow earlier, he was now starting to track Haku's movements inside the ice mirrors.

Haku's figure moved past flying water droplets, flickering quickly among the mirrors with senbon needles in hand.

Naruto's clones were instantly destroyed by Haku, and the real Naruto fell to the ground, covered in injuries.

Sasuke quickly jumped back. A few senbon still grazed the side of his leg, but at least they didn't hit him directly.

Haku disappeared back into the mirrors again.

"If we try again, I know I can hit him."

Sasuke stared hard at Haku's reflection moving around and spoke to Naruto beside him.

"Yeah!"

Naruto took a deep breath and nodded firmly.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

"Stop wasting your energy!"

Just as Naruto used his jutsu, Sasuke quickly formed hand signs. At the moment Haku flew out of a mirror—

Sasuke raised one hand to his mouth and blasted out a fireball toward Haku!
