Pokemon Adventure: New Adventure

Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Arrival in Pallet Town

After what felt like short moment in the sky, the two Pidgeots finally began their descent.

Zen could see Pallet Town below, a small, peaceful town by the sea. But today, it was filled with people, bright decorations, and festival stalls.

The Pidgeots landed gracefully in an open field near the festival.

"We're here!" Rock shouted excitedly, jumping off his Pidgeot without hesitation.

Zen, on the other hand, slowly slid down, his legs wobbling the moment his feet touched the ground.

He stumbled slightly, grabbing onto Pidgeot's wing for support.

Stone let out a chuckle.

"Don't worry. First time flying always makes your legs feel weak. You'll get used to it."

Zen nodded weakly, still feeling the effects of the ride.

Before Zen could fully recover, Rock grabbed his arm and dragged him toward the festival entrance.

"Come on, let's go! The festival is starting!"

Zen barely had time to react before he was pulled along.

As they entered the town, Zen's eyes widened.

The festival was unlike anything he had ever seen before.

Colorful stalls lined the streets, selling food, toys, and souvenirs. Banners and balloons decorated the town, making everything feel lively. Trainers and Pokémon walked around happily, enjoying the festivities.

Zen saw things he had never seen before, Pikachu shaped candy, spinning Pokéball toys, and even a stand selling tiny Charizard figurines.

Despite all the excitement, Zen reminded himself of his goal.

I need to find sweet honey.

But for now, he followed Rock, who was just as excited as ever.

As they walked through the festival, they eventually came across an open battlefield where a group of kids was gathered.

"Oh! A battle ground!" Rock shouted. "Let's go check it out!"

Before Zen could respond, Rock grabbed him again and ran forward.

Zen barely had time to pull Weedle out of its Pokéball, so he just let Weedle sit on his shoulder instead.

They reached the group of kids, who were talking and laughing.

"Hey! I'm Rock from Viridian, and this is my friend, Zen!" Rock introduced them.

One of the boys turned to them and smiled.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Red."

Before Red could continue, another boy with spiky brown hair stepped forward confidently.

"I don't need you to introduce me! I'm Gary, the future Pokémon Champion!"

A third boy, wearing a hat, quickly added, "Hey, I'm Ash, and I'm also gonna be the future Pokémon Champion!"

Immediately, Gary and Ash started arguing.

"No way! I'll be champion before you!"

"In your dreams, Gary! I'll be the strongest Trainer ever!"

Red let out a sigh.

"Don't mind them. They're always like this."

Rock laughed, while Zen just nodded.

Pokémon Champion… Maybe I can try for that too.

Before he could think too much about it, Red spoke up again.

"Hey, do you guys wanna watch a battle?, i think they going to start already"

Zen nodded.

"Yeah!"

Red led the way toward the battle area, and Zen followed, sitting down on a nearby bench.

Rock was still watching Gary and Ash argue, but when he saw Zen sit down, he quickly ran over.

"Hey, wait for me!"

Even Gary and Ash stopped fighting and ran after them.

The battlefield was now crowded with spectators.

Zen looked up and saw two Trainers standing opposite each other.

One of them was an older man with gray hair and a lab coat, Professor Oak.

The other was a tall, strong-looking man with short gray hair, Stone.

Zen's eyes widened.

"Wait… that's your dad?!" he asked Rock.

Rock nodded proudly.

"Yep! And he's about to battle Professor Oak! This is gonna be awesome!"

Zen leaned forward, excited.

The referee raised his hand.

"Trainers, get ready!"

Professor Oak and Stone both grabbed their Pokéballs.

"Set…"

Zen felt his heart race.

"GOOOO!!!"

The battle began.
