Ash's command was clear, and Kirlia nodded its adorable head before instantly using Teleport.

In the next moment, Alakazam's Psybeam shot through the air, missing its target entirely.

Kirlia reappeared behind Alakazam and immediately used Calm Mind, boosting its special attack and defense stats.

The battle reached a peculiar and tense moment.

Salon Maiden Anabel, the Tower Tycoon, was already impressed. "Ash can issue silent commands to his Pokémon too?"

This revelation left Anabel intrigued.

"Interesting, very interesting," said Scott, adjusting his glasses while observing the battlefield with intensity. "Ash always manages to surprise me. This battle is going to be extraordinary!"

Anabel quickly refocused, communicating with Alakazam telepathically.

"Alakazam, don't panic. Kirlia likely boosted its stats during that gap. Use Psychic to disrupt its rhythm!"

"Alakazam!"

Without turning around, Alakazam directed its Psychic attack at Kirlia's location.

However, at that very moment, there wasn't just one Kirlia on the field.

Ash had Kirlia use Double Team, creating a dozen identical copies.

This brief hesitation from Alakazam was all Ash needed.

"Now, use Magical Leaf!"

Kirlia's Magical Leaf swirled forward, each leaf automatically honing in on its target.

Anabel realized Ash's strategy but could only instruct Alakazam to use Light Screen to mitigate the damage.

"Kirlia, take this opportunity to Calm Mind again and then use Charm!"

Ash's intimate knowledge of Alakazam, thanks to earlier interactions, came into play. He knew its gender.

Kirlia's Charm would be highly effective.

The Magical Leaf struck Alakazam, though its impact was softened by Light Screen.

"Alakazam, your health is dwindling. Use this moment to decide the battle! Psycho Cut!"

Anabel gave a decisive command, her confidence unwavering.

But as Alakazam readied its attack, Kirlia turned around with a twinkle in its eyes and a playful sway of its skirt.

Alakazam froze, momentarily captivated by Kirlia's Charm.

Seeing this, Ash wasted no time.

"Now, finish it with Magical Leaf!"

With no Light Screen to dampen the blow, the empowered Magical Leaf hit Alakazam directly. The psychic Pokémon fainted.

"Alakazam is unable to battle. Kirlia wins!" declared the referee.

Anabel couldn't help but laugh in exasperation. "Alakazam fell for a cute trick?!"

Even May chimed in, her cheeks slightly flushed. "That was so adorable. Honestly, I think even I would fall for Kirlia's charm."

Misty gave a firm nod. "Same here."

Scott adjusted his glasses and commented, "No skill is off-limits in a battle. Ash demonstrated that even the most underestimated moves, when used creatively, can win battles. Impressive work."

With Kirlia victorious, Ash was rewarded in real-time by his system:

Ding! Congratulations, host! Kirlia has defeated Alakazam, earning 19,500 battle experience points!

Kirlia's level, already well beyond the typical evolution threshold of 30, jumped up two more levels, from 37 to 39.

Despite his hope, Kirlia still didn't evolve.

"Rest up, Kirlia," Ash said as he returned it to its Poké Ball. "You did great. Spend some time with May's Kirlia."

"Kirli~"

Kirlia nuzzled Ash affectionately before teleporting to the spectator area, joining May's Kirlia.

Anabel smiled as she sent out her second Pokémon.

"You're the first person to make me this excited about what's next. Alright, here's my second Pokémon—Metagross!"

Metagross landed with a powerful thud, its intimidating form drawing gasps from the audience.

Ash quickly scanned its stats. As expected, Anabel's Pokémon were on par with Elite Four-level trainers.

Ash grinned and chose his next combatant.

"Gengar, it's your time to shine!"

Gengar emerged with its signature mischievous grin, pulling exaggerated faces and stretching its features for comic effect.

Even Anabel chuckled. "This Gengar is something else. Alright, let's see what you've got."

"Alright, Gengar, no time for jokes. Start with Shadow Ball!"

Gengar immediately dropped its antics, forming a pulsating Shadow Ball between its hands.

Anabel's calm demeanor didn't waver. "Metagross, you know the risks. Endure the attack and retaliate with Psychic!"

The battle intensified. As Shadow Ball connected, Metagross weathered the hit and countered with Psychic, targeting Gengar's Poison typing.

Ash anticipated this. "Gengar, Double Team, and look for an opening to use Hypnosis!"

Anabel countered telepathically, "Metagross, disrupt its rhythm with Agility, then use Confusion to locate the real Gengar!"

The clash was fierce, each trainer leveraging their connection with their Pokémon and pushing them to their limits.
