Chapter 52: Now what's next
After that Ash sent out his Hisuian Typhlosion, and after a while both Pokémon took each Pokémon out, and then Staraptor came out for its final round with Pikachu
Pikachu then sent out a powerful thunderbolt and by all odds Pikachu won and so did Ash, after all after Typhlosion was taken down Haru Thought Ash was going to lose.
Whitney then handed Ash the Plain Badge, as Haru looked at Ash.
Haru looked at Ash. "So Badge does that make".
Ash looked at Haru as he shows his badge case. "This makes it my 7th Badge, how many do you have".
Haru then spoke. "I already have my 8th so I am set".
Brock looked at him as he spoke. "8th badge, are not going for 10 badge".
Haru titled his head as he looked at Brock. "I mean I can but what is the point, what asshole will go out there way to get 10 badge".
Ash, Brock and Misty then remembers there tracker in there Home region for Kanto and then remember how Gary showed up with his 10th badge.
Ash then spoke as he looked at Haru. "Just someone we know".
Haru looked at Ash. "Do I know him".
Brock just looked at him as he spoke. "Nope".
Haru raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued, but he didn't press the issue any further. He could tell by the look on Ash's face that there was more to the story, but the conversation quickly shifted back to the present.
"So, Ash, you're one badge away from completing your journey here, huh?" Haru said, folding his arms and looking at Ash with a grin.
Ash grinned back, his eyes sparkling with determination. "Yeah! One more to go, and then I'll be ready to challenge the Johto League!"
Whitney, having finished congratulating Ash and handing him the Plain Badge, walked over to the group with a smile. "It's always exciting to see a strong trainer like you push through, Ash. I'm sure you'll do great at the league."
Haru nodded in agreement. "You've got this, Ash. But remember, it's not just about winning badges—it's about the journey and the bonds you form with your Pokémon."
Ash's eyes softened. "Yeah, you're right, Haru. My journey's been full of surprises, and I've learned a lot from my Pokémon and the friends I've made along the way."
Brock chuckled, giving Ash a friendly pat on the back. "And sometimes, the toughest battles are the ones that teach you the most."
Misty smiled, crossing her arms. "Looks like we've all grown a lot since our first adventure together, huh?"
Haru couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. "Yeah, I remember when we all started out, just like Ash and his first Pokémon. It's crazy how far we've all come."
The conversation paused as everyone looked at the group, reflecting on their shared experiences. Ash, with his unwavering determination, was one step closer to his goal, while Haru's journey had led him to his 8th badge. It was clear that both trainers, despite their different paths, had similar drives to push forward and face whatever challenges lay ahead.
"So, what's next for you, Haru?" Misty asked, breaking the silence. "You've got all your badges already. Are you going for the League too?"
Haru paused for a moment, considering the question. "Maybe. But for now, I think I'll enjoy the rest of my journey. There's still a lot to see and do, and I'm not in a rush. Plus, I want to see where Ash's journey goes next."
Ash beamed. "Well, wherever you go, I hope we'll cross paths again! Who knows? Maybe we'll even end up in the same league!"
Brock laughed. "That's the spirit, Ash."
The group shared a laugh, and for a brief moment, everything felt like it had come full circle. Each trainer, with their own unique goals and experiences, was part of a larger journey that had no end in sight.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the gym, Haru looked at the horizon. "For now, though, let's just enjoy the ride. Who knows what comes next?"
And with that, the group shared a final laugh, knowing that whatever came their way, they were ready for it.
The next few days passed, there was two month before the start of the Johto league and Haru was relaxing and training all his Pokémon, each of his Pokémon has gotten much stronger then before he and Whitney spares and he was definitely started to get beyond Gym leader level, maybe elite four level as all his Pokémon was, during this time he spotted Suicune a few times, and without him knowing Whitney spotted Entei a few times as well, these two never happend together so they told no one, after awhile both stopped meeting the legendary beast which didn't feel right for some reason, to Haru he still remembers Rose words.
And like that 1 month had pass, Ash was still in training, as Haru told him that if hee wanted to fight Clair he needs to strong he supirse to find ash had caught a Larvitar which during the training with Haru has evolved into a Pupitar, it was still shy to evolve into a Tyranitar.
The next few days pass, as Haru was in his room, as then he heard something.
Casey opened Haru door to his room, as she saw him playing games on his Computer. "Hey Haru can you come down".
Haru looked at her as he sighed. "Jessie better not have broken trh sink again".
Casey just smiled at that, he went down as they went to the living room, he was wondering why it was dark then someone turned on the light as Haru got a big suprise
"Happy Birthday".
Haru eyes adjuster to try light as he saw the people, on his wall with Balloon was written Happy birthday, he saw all the people there Jessie, James, Meowth, Whitney, Clair. They were not the only one here to the side was Folkner and Bugsy as they were holding hands, with them was to try left Morty and Chuck, he then saw that Professor Elm was also there but also was all 7 of his sister, they had rushed here, seeing that each of them was still weairng they work outfit, it was suprise to seem then because each of them was in different regions when he last contacted them, Jasmine waves at him and next to her was Pryce, he then saw Silver there he was not friend with the red hair teen, will they shd a few conversations and last time they meet was in Pryce gym, but it was good to see his Friend? Here he thought, he then saw Diamond and Rose was also there, Rose waves at him as she winked both were in normal outfit so if you didn't know these two were rocket members your work never know.
Haru looked around the room in shock, his eyes wide as he took in the sight of all the people gathered. It was a sight he never expected. The room was filled with familiar faces—his friends, his sisters, and even people he hadn't seen in a while, like Silver and even Pryce.
"Happy Birthday," Whitney said with a big smile, walking up to Haru with a small cake. "We thought we'd surprise you, since you've been so focused on training and everything."
Haru couldn't believe it. His mind was still trying to process the sight of his sisters, Professor Elm, and even people like Morty, Chuck, and Bugsy, who had traveled from various parts of Johto to be there. Everyone was laughing and chatting, clearly enjoying themselves, and it warmed Haru's heart to see them all together.
"Thanks, everyone," Haru said, his voice a little hoarse with surprise. He looked at his Pokémon, who had gathered excitedly around him. "You all really went all out, huh?"
Meowth hopped onto Haru's shoulder, giving him a playful nudge. "You think so, boss? We had to make it special for ya!"
Haru chuckled, his gaze shifting between his Pokémon, who were all out of their Pokéballs. Swampert stood proudly in the corner, looking a bit too large for the space, while Electivire, Houndoom, and Scizor were eagerly eyeing the snacks laid out. Gyarados, as always, looked intimidating, though it had calmed down to enjoy the moment. His sisters laughed as they tried to get a picture of the scene, the contrast between the wild, powerful Pokémon and the festive, cheerful atmosphere not lost on anyone.
"Let me guess," Haru continued, his smile widening, "you all plan to make me eat this entire cake, huh?"
Whitney winked. "Of course! We thought you'd like it better this way—no training, no stress, just some fun for once."
Diamond and Rose, standing by the side, exchanged knowing glances. "You've earned it, Haru," Diamond said, grinning. "After everything you've done for us, it's about time you had a break."
Rose nodded. "And besides, it's good for the mind to take a step back sometimes."
Haru felt a surge of gratitude for his friends, his Pokémon, and his family. "You guys really know how to surprise me," he said softly, watching the others laugh and enjoy themselves.
Professor Elm, who had just arrived Haru other three Pokémon, smiled as he walked over. "I thought I'd add to the surprise by giving you, your other companions," he said, handing over the Pokéballs containing Gible, Ursaring, and Teddiursa.
"Thanks, Professor," Haru replied, taking the Pokéballs from Elm. He quickly released the Pokémon, who looked around curiously at the new environment. Gible gave a cheerful growl, while Ursaring lumbered toward the snacks, and Teddiursa shyly stood by Haru's side.
His sisters rushed forward, excited to meet the new Pokémon. "Look at them! They're so cute!" one of them exclaimed, kneeling down to interact with Teddiursa.
Silver, who had been standing at the edge of the group, finally spoke up. "I didn't think you'd actually be this popular, Haru," he said with a smirk, crossing his arms.
Haru raised an eyebrow at Silver, not entirely sure how to respond. "I didn't expect all this either," he admitted. "But I'm glad to see you're here. It's been a while."
Silver gave a slight nod, his usually cold expression softening a little. "Yeah. Don't get used to it, though."
Haru laughed, feeling a little more at ease despite Silver's usual demeanor. He knew that beneath the tough exterior, Silver was someone who respected strength, and maybe even cared more than he let on.
As the celebration continued, Haru took a moment to look around at all the faces, his heart swelling with pride. From his old friends like Whitney, Brock, and Misty, to his Pokémon who had come such a long way, to the new connections he'd made, everything seemed to be coming together.
He noticed Clair standing nearby, watching the festivities with a soft smile. "What do you think?" Haru asked her, walking over.
Clair turned to him, her expression thoughtful. "You've come a long way, Haru. I think this is well-deserved. But you can't forget, your journey is far from over. You've still got a lot to achieve."
Haru nodded, looking over at his Pokémon again. "I know. But for tonight, I'm just going to enjoy this moment."
The night continued with laughter, games, and celebration. Haru had no idea that things were about to take another turn. But for now, he was content, surrounded by his friends, his family, and his Pokémon.
Tomorrow could wait.
Later that day, as gift were exchange and part happed, Diamond dragged ash away, probably tell how she felt about him, but only the future will tell.
Haru then finally Interduce Clair and Whitney as his girlfriend to his sister. "So um yeah I am planing on getting more, as I am making harem". He then though to him self. "This is embarrassing, why must I have made that promise to find all my past life's lover".
And what happened next was a lot of testing alot of it. Haru watched as his sisters bickered and teased him, each one's unique personality shining through. He sighed inwardly, feeling a bit embarrassed by the whole situation but also strangely warmed by the playful atmosphere. It was a reminder that, despite everything that had happened in his life, he still had a family that cared about him—however loud and chaotic they might be.
Clair, who had been standing beside him, leaned in and whispered, "You sure you want to introduce me like this?" Her voice held a mix of amusement and slight discomfort.
Haru glanced at her and Whitney, who were now standing together, both a bit more reserved now that his sisters had started their teasing. "Well, this is my life now," Haru said with a half-smile. "I might as well be upfront about it."
Whitney, always the more composed of the two, chuckled softly. "I think you're doing fine, Haru," she said, her tone light but supportive.
Akagi, the eldest sister, raised an eyebrow, her arms crossed in an authoritative way. "So you're really serious about this? A harem, huh?" she asked, a teasing glint in her eye. "You've certainly got a lot of guts, little brother."
Haru sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, it's not exactly how it sounds"
Asagi, the second-oldest, burst out laughing, clutching her stomach. "Oh my Arceus, Haru, you really haven't changed a bit, have you?" She grinned, clearly enjoying the moment. "Always making promises you can't keep."
Outa, the more tomboyish sister, shook her head. "Ridiculous," she muttered, her arms crossed as she watched the whole exchange with a smirk. "But it's good to see you're doing something with your life, even if it's... unconventional."
Midory, the mechanical-minded sister in the green outfit, nodded thoughtfully, tapping her chin. "You know, I think it's pretty funny," she admitted. "But also kinda crazy. I can't believe you're actually serious about this. Still, you've got a dream, and that's more than a lot of people have."
Violet, the lazy yet cunning sister, rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smirk. "Don't encourage him," she said, though there was a twinkle of amusement in her voice. "But I guess it's your life."
Kitsu, who had some orange on her outfit, smiled mischievously. "Honestly, I think it's hilarious. Who knows, maybe you'll actually pull it off."
Tade-Ai, the youngest, grinned widely, her eyes shining with adoration. "I'm always gonna support you, big brother! No matter what!" she said brightly, causing Haru to smile warmly at her innocent optimism.
Haru chuckled softly, giving Tade a pat on the head. "Thanks, Tade. You're a good kid." Then, turning to Violet, he added, "And Violet, don't think I didn't notice you picking on her. You'd better be nice to your little sister."
Violet shot him a look of mock annoyance. "I'm a good big sister, okay? Just because I want to become a professor doesn't mean I can't handle her," she said defensively, causing the others to laugh even harder.
Whitney leaned in to whisper to Haru. "Looks like you're going to have a lot of fun with this family."
Haru just shook his head with a smile. "Yeah, fun," he said, though his tone was laced with affection. Despite the embarrassment and teasing, he knew he was lucky. Not everyone had a family who cared this much—no matter how loud or crazy they could be.
As the evening wore on, the laughter and teasing continued, with everyone enjoying the relaxed, lighthearted atmosphere. Haru realized, despite the unusual circumstances of his journey, he was surrounded by the people who cared about him the most, and that was more than he could have ever asked for.
Ash then spoke, after losing another game with James. Hey Haru why do your sister call you by your middle name".
Asagi spoke Looking at Ash. "Simple, Ethan is his first names, but we always called him Haru as that was his middle name, so it became his nickname, even if his full name is Ethan Haru Bit harmonia, now that I think about he is the only sibling that names doesn't mean a Colour".
Akagi spoke moving her glasses. "Ethan menss Golden, Haru Bit means Day Bringer and Harmonia out family names mean Harmony, so he is like the sun to 7 of us rainbow seeing the 7 of us makes a rainbow".
Violet then spoke as she sigehd. "Mom and dad really had a say to name us".
Ash blinked, surprised by the revelation. "So your full name is Ethan Haru Bit Harmonia?" he repeated, trying to wrap his mind around it. "That's a lot of names! I didn't know you had such a cool meaning behind it."
Haru, who had been quietly listening to the conversation, scratched his head sheepishly. "Yeah, I've heard all about the meaning. It's a bit much, but I guess it makes sense. I've always been called Haru anyway, so it feels more like my name now."
Asagi smirked, leaning back in her chair. "Yeah, we stopped calling him Ethan a long time ago. We just stuck with Haru. It's easier, and we like it better."
Akagi adjusted her glasses, her voice calm but carrying the weight of the family's history. "Our parents were always fond of names with meaning. Ethan, for example, means golden, a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Haru, 'Day Bringer,' as in the first light of the morning—he's the light in our family, always bringing balance."
Haru felt a bit overwhelmed by the deeper connection his sisters had with his name. He had never really thought about it in such a symbolic way. It was strange to hear that his family saw him as the 'sun' of their rainbow. But at the same time, he appreciated the thought. It gave him a new perspective on his role within the family.
Violet, always quick to add her own sarcastic touch, let out a sigh. "Well, I guess our parents really went all out with the meanings for their kids, huh? Mom and dad clearly had a very... philosophical approach to naming us."
She paused for a moment, then muttered, "I mean, I'm named Violet, sure, but I could've used a cooler name than that."
"Your name is fine, Violet," Kitsu said, grinning. "It fits you, and it's got a nice ring to it."
Violet rolled her eyes. "I just think it's funny. The way they gave us all these meaningful names, and then I end up with Violet. It's like they gave up halfway through."
Haru chuckled softly, turning to Violet. "Hey, I think you're the best Violet there is. Besides, not every name has to have a grand meaning behind it."
Asagi smiled knowingly. "And sometimes, the simplest names are the best ones, right?"
Haru looked at his sisters, feeling a surge of affection for them. They had all turned out so different, with their unique personalities, but there was no denying the bond that tied them together. Even if they had teasing moments like this, it was clear that they were all there for one another, in their own ways.
Ash, who had been listening intently to the conversation, nodded. "I get it now. You guys all have names that really represent something. That's pretty cool. And Haru, you must feel special being the 'Day Bringer' to all of them."
Haru rubbed the back of his neck again, a little awkward but smiling. "I guess so. But it's more about the family than the name. We all look out for each other."
James, who had been silently watching the exchange, chimed in. "Seems like you're a pretty big deal to them, Haru. I can see why they're all so protective of you."
Haru gave a sheepish grin. "Yeah, well, they've always been that way. I don't mind though. It's nice to have a family like this."
The mood shifted to one of warmth as the group continued to chat. Even if they teased each other relentlessly, Haru knew deep down that he was surrounded by people who cared for him in ways words couldn't fully express.
"Well, Haru," Ash said with a grin, "I think your family's awesome. I'd be happy to join in on the fun sometimes. And hey, if you ever need someone to help you with your... 'harem' thing, you know where to find me."
Haru laughed, shaking his head. "Thanks, Ash. But I think this is a solo mission. But you're welcome to join us for family events anytime."
With that, the group settled into a more relaxed conversation, enjoying the time together as friends and family, knowing that despite the chaos, there was a sense of harmony in their shared bonds.
