Chapter 74: Johto League Part 14
Ash then looked at Pikachu. "Let's go Buddy".
Pikachu then went to the stadium, looking the sea serpent, as Haru then told Gyarados to use Dragon dance, as Gyarados then used Dragon Dance as it's body, as then Gyarados used Hydro pump, as Pikachu kept moving away as he then jumped on the rocks.
Then Gyarados slammed his body in the ground as Pikachu kept moving as Pikachu jumped into the air and used a Iron tail on the Water/Flying type Pokémon, Haru then told Gyarados used another Dragon Dance as then Gyarados body's then got stronger a then Pikachu went on the head of Gyarados as Ash spoken.
Ash looked at Pikachu as he spoke. "Use Thunderbolt".
As then a Crital super effective move hit that side Gyarados as it screamed, then Pikachu user a Electro Ball, as Haru told Gyarados to shake Pikachu away as then Ash Told Pikachu to use a Thunderbolt as then it hit as Gyarados was defeated.
The Referee then spoke. "Gyarados has been defeated, Pikachu has won".
Haru then called back Gyarados. "So we are 4 for 3 huh".
Ash looked at Haru as he spoke. "You Bet".
Haru then sent out his Houndoom, but for some reason everyone saw had a stranger smirk on his face, Ash called out Feraligatr, as it came out it did a small dance for trh Audience, as then Told Feraligatr to use a Water gun, as the blast of water energy came out it's mouth ssn almost hit Houndoom.
Haru then looked at Houndoom. "Use Nasty Plot".
And then Houndoom did as it hit Feraligatr, as then Feraligatr the used a Ice fang it grabbed on Houndoom tail, but then something happend it used Shadow ball as Feraligatr was sent back as then Houndoom body started to changes almost like illusion was taken away.
The crowd watched in stunned silence as Haru's Houndoom underwent an astonishing transformation. The air seemed to shimmer for a moment, and as the illusion faded, standing in its place was a snow-white, fluffy creature with red accents. The Pokémon had a sleek, humanoid form, standing on two legs with dark gray fur and glowing eyes—Hisuian Zoroark.
Ash raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised. "A Hisuian Zoroark...?" His voice trailed off as he stared at the newly revealed Pokémon.
Haru smirked slightly, not bothered by the attention. "Yeah, I've been keeping that one under wraps. Zoroark's always been a favorite of mine. This one's a bit special, though. Let's see how well it handles things."
The crowd was still trying to process the appearance of the Hisuian Zoroark, its unusual elegance and deadly grace. Meanwhile, in the Harmonia family's private area, Akagi, Asagi, Midory, Kitsu, and Violet exchanged knowing glances, each reflecting a mix of pride and amusement.
Akagi glanced at her siblings, a soft smile on his face. "So he finally did it, huh?" he mused.
Asagi chuckled, a mischievous glint in hwe eyes. "So he called dear old bad, huh?"
Midory, casually crossing her legs, nodded with a knowing smirk. "It's even the one that liked him since day one. I always knew he had a connection with it."
Kitsu stood up, a smile spreading across her face. "Hah, I can't wait to see how his Zoroark matches up against mine."
Violet, looking closely at the battlefield, gave a quiet nod. "Just by seeing, this is one of the most formidable ones we've got."
On Violet's lap, Tade-Ai, her cheeks puffed with chocolate, chimed in eagerly. "Big brother has a Zoroark like us? I want to see it meet my Zorua someday!"
Back in the stands, the rest of the crowd was still processing what had just happened. As the whispers of amazement echoed through the stadium, Whitney glanced around, noticing everyone's expectant gazes. She sighed and turned her attention to them.
"Why is everyone looking at me like that?" Whitney asked, raising an eyebrow.
Misty, ever curious, was quick to speak up. "You know him the longest. Can you explain?"
Whitney let out a long sigh, clearly used to being the one to explain the complexities of Haru's family. "Fine, but don't interrupt. I'm not going to repeat myself."
The others nodded, eagerly awaiting the explanation.
"As you all know, the Harmonia family is incredibly wealthy," Whitney began. "But what you don't know is that the Harmonia family is the reason the held items exist."
Brock, confused, leaned in and asked, "Wait, what do you mean by that?"
"Let me finish, alright?" Whitney continued, brushing off the interruptions. "They've invented nearly every held item and have a monopoly on them. Even the ones that are naturally made, they buy up and sell. They've got branches in every region. You can't go anywhere without finding a Harmonia product."
Diamond raised an eyebrow. "Okay, but that doesn't explain the Zoroark, especially the Hisuian one."
Whitney sighed again, rubbing her temples. "Alright, alright, let me explain. Each member of the Harmonia family has a Zoroark either normal, regional, or Hisuian. The Hisuian variant is a bit... accidental. You breed enough Zoroarks, and eventually, you'll bring back a species that was thought to be extinct."
The crowd murmured in astonishment. "Wait, you mean to tell me Haru has a Hisuian Zoroark because of... breeding?" Brock said, still trying to process the information.
Whitney gave a dry chuckle. "Yeah, pretty much. It's a combination of breeding practices, genetics, and a little bit of luck."
Misty blinked, a thought forming in her mind. "Between Ash's Hisuian Typhlosion, Haru's Ursaluna, and Hisuian Zoroark, I'm starting to think the ancient Pokémon in Sinnoh aren't really extinct..."
The idea hung in the air, and for a brief moment, it felt as if the entire stadium was holding its breath. There was something incredibly mysterious and almost magical about the idea that ancient Pokémon, long thought to be extinct, were suddenly appearing in the present day.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Ash wasn't about to let this revelation distract him. He looked at his own Pokémon, Pikachu, who was still perched confidently on his shoulder.
"Alright, Pikachu," Ash said, giving a determined nod. "Let's finish this strong."
The battle was far from over, and with the revelation of Hisuian Zoroark, the stakes were higher than ever. Ash and Haru's fierce rivalry was only intensifying, and the crowd was on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting what would happen next.
Ash's expression hardened as he saw the Hisuian Zoroark standing tall before him, its red-and-gray form flickering with an ethereal energy. He knew this was no ordinary Pokémon—it was one of the rarest, most mysterious types he had ever encountered. His focus sharpened, his mind already working through potential strategies to counter this unexpected twist.
"Alright, Feraligatr, we've got this!" Ash called out, bringing his Feraligatr into the fight. The Water-type Pokémon let out a powerful roar and glared at Zoroark, ready to face the new challenge.
Haru smirked. "This will be interesting."
He turned his attention to his Hisuian Zoroark, now fully in the battle. "Zoroark, let's see what you can do—use Night Daze!"
Zoroark's body shimmered with an eerie dark aura as it unleashed a wave of haunting darkness towards Feraligatr, the attack so powerful that it seemed to warp the very air around it. Feraligatr attempted to dodge, but the shadows engulfed it, pushing it back a few steps as the attack hit home.
Ash narrowed his eyes. "Feraligatr, retaliate with Hydro Pump!"
The mighty Water-type let loose a stream of water from its jaws, blasting the Night Daze aside with ease. The sheer force of the Hydro Pump pushed Zoroark back, but Haru wasn't fazed.
"Zoroark, use Illusion!" he commanded with a grin.
In an instant, the Hisuian Zoroark vanished in a burst of light, its body shifting into an illusionary copy of the surroundings—making it nearly impossible to pinpoint its true location. Ash looked around in confusion.
"Where did it go?" Ash muttered, trying to sense Zoroark's movements.
The crowd was in awe, murmurs circulating as the battle continued to escalate. Ash, however, was focused, his competitive spirit flaring. He looked to Pikachu for help.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Let's clear the air!" Ash shouted.
The small Electric-type Pokémon leapt into the air, releasing a brilliant Thunderbolt that illuminated the battlefield. The surge of electricity crackled through the area, revealing the real Zoroark, now disoriented by the attack but still standing strong.
"Zoroark, use Shadow Ball!" Haru commanded.
Before Feraligatr could react, Zoroark conjured a sphere of dark energy and hurled it with impressive speed. The Shadow Ball collided directly with Feraligatr, sending it tumbling back, smoke rising from the impact.
Feraligatr struggled to regain its footing, clearly weakened but still ready for more. Ash clenched his fists, determined not to lose here.
"Feraligatr, Ice Beam—now!" Ash ordered.
The Water-type Pokémon opened its mouth and shot a freezing beam of ice straight at Zoroark. It collided with the Hisuian Zoroark, freezing part of its body, but Zoroark quickly used its speed to break free, shaking off the ice with ease.
Haru laughed softly, watching the back-and-forth of the battle unfold. "Nice try, but you'll need more than that to take down Zoroark. Let's turn up the heat—use Sucker Punch!"
Before Ash could react, Zoroark dashed forward, its claws glowing with dark energy, and landed a direct hit on Feraligatr's side. The force of the strike caused Feraligatr to stagger, taking significant damage.
Ash's face tightened. "Feraligatr, we can still win this! Hang in there!"
But it was clear—Haru's Hisuian Zoroark was proving to be a formidable opponent, its illusions and cunning moves keeping Ash on the defensive. With each attack, the gap between their Pokémon's power seemed to widen, and Ash knew that it would take everything he had to pull through.
"Alright, Pikachu! Let's turn this around!" Ash shouted, rallying his partner.
"Use Iron Tail!" Ash commanded.
Pikachu leaped into the air, its tail glowing a bright metallic silver, and aimed directly at the elusive Zoroark. The Hisuian Zoroark, still reeling from the Sucker Punch, barely managed to dodge, but Pikachu's Iron Tail still landed a solid hit, causing Zoroark to stumble.
"Zoroark, keep your focus! Use Shadow Claw!" Haru called out.
Zoroark's claws glowed with dark energy as it slashed at Pikachu, narrowly missing the Electric-type as Pikachu used its agility to avoid the blow.
The battle was now a high-speed back-and-forth, with Ash and Haru both pushing their Pokémon to the limits. The crowd, including Whitney, Brock, and the Harmonia family, was on the edge of their seats, watching the incredible battle unfold.
Meanwhile, in the stands, Misty leaned forward with a thoughtful expression. "Between the Hisuian Zoroark and Pikachu, this is getting intense. Both of them have amazing abilities. I don't know who will win at this rate."
Brock nodded, his eyes tracking the movements of both Pokémon. "It's anyone's game right now. But I have a feeling that Haru's got a few more surprises left."
With a focused expression, Haru looked at Ash. "Not bad, Ash. But you'll need more than that to beat me."
Ash, never one to back down, grinned. "Then show me what you've got, Haru. I'm not done yet!"
As the battle raged on, both trainers knew they were on the verge of the final clash—the outcome still uncertain, but the intensity of their rivalry only growing stronger with each passing moment.
Haru smirked, realizing Ash still had his ace in reserve. "You're saving Charizard for the end, huh? Smart move. But I hope you know, once I bring out my final Pokémon, you'll have no choice but to send it out."
Ash grinned. "Then I guess I'll just have to handle Zoroark first. Pikachu, let's wrap this up—use Quick Attack, then Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu dashed forward with incredible speed, zigzagging to avoid Zoroark's retaliation. Before Zoroark could counter, Pikachu leapt high into the air, its cheeks sparking with electricity.
"Finish it, Thunderbolt!" Ash shouted.
A bolt of lightning descended from Pikachu, striking Zoroark squarely. The Hisuian Zoroark cried out in pain as the electricity coursed through its body. It staggered backward, clearly on its last legs.
Haru narrowed his eyes. "Zoroark, one last move—Night Daze!"
Summoning its remaining strength, Zoroark unleashed another wave of dark energy, engulfing the battlefield. The sheer force of the move pushed Pikachu back, but the Electric-type held on, its determination unwavering.
When the dust cleared, Zoroark was on the ground, unable to continue. The referee raised his hand. "Zoroark is unable to battle! Pikachu wins!"
The crowd erupted into cheers, their excitement reaching a fever pitch. Haru recalled Zoroark, smiling softly. "You did amazing, buddy. Take a well-earned rest."
Ash called Pikachu back to his side. "Great job, Pikachu! You were awesome out there."
Haru looked at Ash with a grin. "Four for four. This has been one of the best battles I've had in a long time. But now, let's see how you handle this."
A dust cloud happened, as then the dust cloud started to disappeared as then there was two Pokémon just was in the ground that two.
Haru looked at Ash. "You know, I am wondering who your final Pokémon is going to be, You have lost your Typhlosion, Gengar, Tyranitar and now Pikachu, I already know you have Charizard, so who is left".
Ash looked at his Charizard, as he then sent out his Pokémon. "Go out".
As then coming out Ash Pokémon was his Heracross.
Haru called back his now Fainted Zoroark. "Not supirse, go out Houndoom".
Houndoom got out, as it used a Fire blast, then used a Taunt then followed them up by a Nasty Plot as it boosted his special attack, and then stared to use Solar Beam.
Ash just spoke as his Brain was fryed by all trh moves the Pokémon used just out it's Pokeball. "Heracross just dodge, just do I don't know what to say".
Heracross, ever loyal and determined, skillfully dodged the incoming Fire Blast by leaping into the air and rolling to the side. It watched Houndoom intently, understanding that this opponent wasn't one to be taken lightly.
Haru smirked. "Houndoom is a tough one to beat, Ash. You better think fast before that Solar Beam fires!"
Ash, still a bit frazzled, snapped out of his hesitation. "Alright, Heracross, let's fight back! Use Aerial Ace!"
Heracross took to the air with incredible speed, wings buzzing as it closed in on Houndoom. The Bug/Fighting-type delivered a swift and precise strike, landing a critical hit on Houndoom, causing it to stagger.
But Haru was quick to recover. "Houndoom, release the Solar Beam now!"
Houndoom roared as the charged beam of solar energy shot toward Heracross, who had just landed. The beam hit with immense force, sending Heracross skidding backward.
"Heracross, hang in there!" Ash shouted.
Heracross struggled to its feet, bruised but not beaten. It looked back at Ash with unwavering resolve, ready for the next command.
Ash clenched his fist. "Heracross, use Rock Slide!"
Heracross summoned large boulders from above and hurled them toward Houndoom, who tried to dodge but was hit by one of the larger rocks. The impact left Houndoom visibly weakened.
Haru narrowed his eyes. "Don't let up, Houndoom! Use Flamethrower!"
Houndoom unleashed a stream of fire toward Heracross, who managed to avoid the brunt of it but still took some damage.
Ash seized the moment. "Finish it, Heracross! Close Combat!"
Heracross rushed forward with incredible speed, delivering a flurry of powerful strikes to Houndoom. The Dark/Fire-type couldn't withstand the relentless barrage and collapsed to the ground, fainted.
The referee raised his flag. "Houndoom is unable to battle! Heracross is the winner!"
The crowd erupted into cheers, impressed by the tenacity of Ash and his Heracross. Haru called back Houndoom with a small smile. "You've got guts, Ash. But let's see how your Heracross handles my final Pokémon."
Haru held up his last Pokéball. "It's time. Go, Swampert!"
A powerful Swampert emerged onto the battlefield, roaring confidently. Ash and Heracross looked up at the towering Water/Ground-type, knowing this would be their toughest challenge yet.
