Chapter 84: Haru Vs Lance part 2
Haru looked at Lance Garchomp. "Of course you have Garchomp, and seeing the that it is your 5th Pokemon, you have Charizard, so let's see".
Haru then pulled out another PokèBall, as he sent out his Own Garchomp, as Both Dragon Type Pokèmon looked at Eachother.
While Haru Garchomp will she was seemed to be more friendly Lance Garchomp seemed like it was ready to rip anyone to pieces
As both Garchomp stood on the battlefield, the tension was palpable. Haru's Garchomp, though powerful, had a calmer demeanor, eyeing Lance's Garchomp with a hint of curiosity. Lance's Garchomp, on the other hand, was brimming with intense energy, its sharp eyes filled with ferocity, as if it were waiting for a command to tear through anything in its path.
Haru smiled softly, knowing that this was going to be an intense battle of raw power and strategy. He looked over to Lance, who was already preparing his next move.
"Let's see who comes out on top, my friend," Lance said, his voice filled with respect but tinged with the cold determination of a true champion. "Garchomp, use Dragon Claw!"
Lance's Garchomp charged forward with terrifying speed, its claws glowing with dragon energy, ready to strike. Haru didn't hesitate for a moment.
"Counter with Earthquake!" Haru called out.
Haru's Garchomp slammed her tail into the ground with a powerful thud, sending shockwaves through the battlefield. The ground trembled as the Earthquake hit with tremendous force, causing Lance's Garchomp to stagger momentarily, but it quickly regained its footing. The battle was far from over.
Lance raised an eyebrow, impressed by the quick thinking. "You're not holding back, huh? Garchomp, use Fire Fang!"
Lance's Garchomp lunged forward again, its teeth glowing bright red as it aimed for Haru's Garchomp. Haru knew he had to act fast.
"Protect yourself with Substitute!" Haru commanded.
Haru's Garchomp then cover her body with energy as then it allows the move to come close,, as then a cool as the Fire Fang hit the doll. The fiery teeth clashed with the Doll, causing a brief burst of fire as the doll got destroyed. But Haru's Garchomp sighed into the ground as it digged to create distance and came back on solid ground.
Haru's Garchomp, being the more strategic fighter, kept her distance, eyes focused on her opponent. Haru could see that Lance's Garchomp was fierce and aggressive, its attacks coming in rapid succession, but he knew that his Garchomp could hold her own.
"Lance, you're not pulling any punches, are you?" Haru said with a grin. "Alright, let's turn up the heat. Garchomp, use Swords Dance!"
Haru's Garchomp raised her arms in the air, and the glow of power surrounded her as her attack stat increased sharply. Lance's Garchomp was already in attack mode, but Haru had one more surprise up his sleeve.
Lance's face hardened. "Garchomp, use Dragon Rush!"
Lance's Garchomp launched forward with incredible force, swirling in a vortex of dragon energy, ready to slam into Haru's Garchomp. But Haru remained calm, watching the move carefully. He knew that his Garchomp had just powered up, and the battle was far from over.
"Now, Garchomp, counter with Draco Meteor!" Haru shouted, his voice filled with excitement.
Haru's Garchomp charged forward, meeting Lance's Garchomp head-on as the blast of Dragon Energy came directly out her mouth. Both dragons type moves collided in a massive clash of dragon energy. The force of the impact caused the battlefield to shake, sending dust and debris flying in every direction. The two Pokémon continued to struggle, neither one giving an inch.
Lance watched intently, his eyes sharp. "Impressive, Haru. But this battle is far from over."
As the smoke cleared, both Garchomp were still standing, albeit battered and bruised. Haru's Garchomp stood strong, her expression fierce, while Lance's Garchomp was snarling, clearly not backing down.
"Let's see who wins this final showdown," Lance said, his voice low but full of conviction. "Garchomp, use Earthquake!"
Haru smirked. "I was hoping you'd say that. Garchomp, finish it with Draco Meteor!"
Both Pokémon unleashed their final attacks with overwhelming force. Garchomp's mouth sent out the enegry ball, as it went to the sky and landed everywhere, as the ground broke as her attack Hit Lancer Garchomp multiple times, as she looked at Lancer Garchomp. The crowd watched in awe as the outcome of the battle hung in the balance.
After a tense moment of silence, both Garchomp staggered back, exhausted from the brutal exchange. Lance's Garchomp collapsed onto the ground, unable to continue, while Haru's Garchomp remained standing, panting but victorious.
Lance's eyes softened with respect as he recalled his Garchomp. "Well fought, Haru. You've earned this win. Your Garchomp is incredible."
Haru smiled, recalling his own Garchomp. "Thanks, Lance. It was an amazing battle. You've got an incredible team, too."
With that, Haru and Lance both knew the battle was nearing its end. Only one Pokémon remained for each trainer, and this would be the deciding moment. The final showdown was about to begin.
Lance then sent out his Final Pokemon, as then coming out his Pokeball, was a Charizard, this was way Bigger them Ash Charizard or even Lion Charizard, it even had some scar's and looked like it had seen many Battle move the years.
Haru looked at Lancer Charizard. "The Pokemon I lost in thr Pokemon Championship, how feeting".
Lance then looked as he spoke. "So who do you pick".
Haru then sent out Swampert, Swampert cane out in the battle field, as he was ready to fight once again. "Let's Do this, Mega Evolve".
Lance's Charizard roared as it stepped onto the battlefield, its wings unfurled to their full, impressive span. The scars on its body were a testament to countless battles fought, each one leaving behind a mark of experience and determination. Its eyes locked with Haru's Swampert, both Pokémon sizing each other up, knowing that this was going to be their toughest fight yet.
Haru grinned, sensing the high stakes. "This is it, Swampert. Mega Evolution, let's finish this!"
With a powerful glow, Swampert began to Mega Evolve, his body growing larger and more powerful. His water-logged skin turned into a more armored appearance, and his eyes glowed with determination. The energy from the Mega Evolution surged through Swampert as he flexed his muscles, ready for the battle ahead.
Lance watched in silence, observing the process with a nod of respect. "A worthy choice, Haru. But now it's my turn."
Lance held up Charizard's Mega Stone, his eyes narrowing. "Mega Charizard X, show them what you've got!"
In a flash of bright light, Charizard began its Mega Evolution, its body transforming into a more fierce, draconic form. The once fiery orange of its skin darkened, now glowing with blue-black flames and a more muscular build. The ground trembled under the sheer force of the transformation. Charizard's eyes burned with intensity, fully prepared for the clash ahead.
The two Mega Pokémon stood across from each other, both ready to unleash their full power. The tension was palpable, the crowd on the edge of their seats, knowing that this was the moment that would decide the champion.
Lance grinned, looking at Haru with a competitive spark in his eyes. "Let's make this a battle to remember, Haru."
Haru nodded in agreement, his voice full of resolve. "Swampert, let's show Lance what we've got! Use Earthquake!"
With a mighty stomp, Mega Swampert slammed his tail into the ground, sending shockwaves through the arena. The Earthquake spread out like a tidal wave, aiming straight for Mega Charizard. The ground cracked and split as the attack made its way toward the fire-breathing dragon.
Lance's eyes widened, but he was quick to react. "Charizard, dodge and use Flamethrower!"
Charizard leaped into the air, wings flapping powerfully to avoid the ground-shattering attack. As it soared above Swampert, it unleashed a massive Flamethrower, the fire roaring as it shot toward the water-type Pokémon.
"Swampert, dodge it!" Haru called out, his voice sharp with urgency.
Swampert, using his newfound Mega strength, dove to the side, narrowly avoiding the burning stream of flames. The heat scorched the ground where Swampert had just been, but Haru's Pokémon was unharmed.
"Now, Swampert, use Waterfall!" Haru commanded.
Swampert gathered the water energy around him, forming a massive waterfall that surged toward Mega Charizard. The torrent of water splashed against Charizard's chest, but the dragon was quick to retaliate.
"Charizard, use Dragon Claw!" Lance shouted.
Charizard's claws glowed with draconic power as it descended with incredible speed, aiming to land a powerful strike on Swampert. But Swampert, using his superior speed, managed to spin around just in time, avoiding the attack by mere inches.
"Nice try, Charizard, but let's turn it up a notch!" Haru grinned. "Swampert, use Ice Punch!"
Swampert's fist began to glow with a cool, icy energy as he swung at Charizard, aiming for its wings. The punch landed, freezing Charizard's wing momentarily, slowing it down as Charizard let out a growl of frustration.
Lance wasn't about to let this go unnoticed. "Charizard, push through it! Use Solar Beam!"
Charizard's body began to charge up, gathering sunlight as it prepared to unleash the powerful Solar Beam. Haru knew what was coming.
"Swampert, use Stealth Rock!" Haru called, making a quick strategic move.
Swampert slammed his tail onto the ground, causing sharp rocks to emerge from the battlefield, scattering across the arena. Charizard was already charging up its Solar Beam, but the newly-formed Stealth Rocks dug into its feet, causing it to stumble for a moment.
"Now, Swampert, go for Earthquake again!" Haru shouted.
Swampert, his confidence rising from the successful Ice Punch and strategic setup, delivered a mighty Earthquake once again. The shockwaves rumbled beneath Charizard's feet, but Charizard managed to barely stay on its wings, albeit heavily shaken by the force of the attack.
"This is it, Lance," Haru said, his voice serious. "We're finishing this."
"Not yet," Lance said, eyes narrowed. "Charizard, use Dragon Pulse!"
Charizard gathered its energy and released a blast of powerful dragon energy toward Swampert. The force of the Dragon Pulse was immense, and Swampert braced himself, taking the full impact head-on. The battle was reaching its climax.
Swampert, though battered, stood tall, ready to keep fighting. Haru knew this battle could go either way, but with their combined strength, he had faith they would emerge victorious.
"Swampert, let's finish this!" Haru said, pumping his fist. "Ice Punch, full power!"
Swampert's fist glowed with frigid energy once more as he launched himself forward, hitting Charizard directly in its chest, freezing its body in place. The cold energy seeped through Charizard's scales, freezing the battle-hardened dragon solid.
With that final blow, Charizard let out one last roar before collapsing, unable to continue. The referee raised his flag in the air, signaling the end of the match.
"And the winner is Haru!" the announcer declared.
The crowd erupted in applause as Haru recalled his victorious Swampert, who was panting but proud of the battle they had just fought. Lance, though exhausted, smiled at the outcome.
"Well done, Haru," Lance said, holding out his hand. "You've truly earned this victory."
Haru shook Lance's hand firmly, a smile spreading across his face. "Thanks, Lance. This was one battle I'll never forget."
As the two trainers stood side by side, the crowd continued to cheer, knowing they had just witnessed one of the greatest battles in the history of the Pokémon League.
Meanwhile the crowd, Ash looker at Haru, as Misty looked at Ash.
But before she Spoke Diamon Spoke. "You ok dear".
Ash smiled and looked back at his girlfriend. "I am fine Diamonds, Haru made it so far, will I am not gonna stay behind".
Diamond then shows him two tickets. "The Hoen Region is having a League as well, it will start in Two week, maybe you can win there".
Ash just smiled and looked at her, as he knew that Hoen was going to be his next destination. "Hell yeah, Hoen here I come".
Meanwhile back in the stadium, Haru was falling Lancee up a few stairs, as they gave Haru a trophy, as then he saw scanner to put all of his Pokeball in the hall of flame.
Lance looked as he spoke. "You are now the new Champion of Johto, and not only that you are not the leader of the Elit 4 and all the Gym leader in that's of Johto, so why don't you".
Haru then pressed a few button, as all his Pokeball, even the ones with Professor Elm came to him as he pressed Each of his Pokeball cane in his hand as he put them.
As the scanning process finished, the screen displayed Haru's Pokémon lineup in vibrant detail: Swampert, Electivire, Meowth (Perfigther), Scizor, Houndoom, Gyarados, Teddiursa, Ursaluna, Garchomp, Cofagrigus, Hisuian Zoroark, and Staraptor—each one glowing with pride. The words "Champion: Day Bringer" flashed across the screen, confirming Haru's new title and status. The audience erupted in applause, recognizing that not only had Haru become the Johto Champion, but he had also earned the respect of all who had watched his journey.
Lance observed the title, his eyes narrowing in both curiosity and respect. "This is the first time the machine has assigned a title based on someone's name," he remarked. "'Day Bringer'… It's an unusual title, but it fits you, Haru. You've been a beacon of light through these battles, and now you're carrying the responsibility of the champion."
Haru, still in awe of the moment, gazed at the screen, absorbing the weight of what just happened. The title "Day Bringer" felt more like a call to continue his journey rather than a simple label. The machine had spoken, but it was his actions that had truly shaped his path.
"Day Bringer, huh?" Haru muttered, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I like it. I'll make sure to live up to it."
As he accepted the trophy in his hands, the cheers of the crowd reverberated in his ears, but his thoughts drifted for a moment. It wasn't just a win—it was a new chapter. The responsibility of being the Johto Champion, leading the Elite Four, and inspiring others would be no small feat. But Haru was ready. He had earned his place here, and now the adventure would continue.
Lance placed a hand on Haru's shoulder, offering a reassuring smile. "You've earned this victory, Haru. But remember, the true journey of a champion is never over. You'll face new challenges, new rivals, and new responsibilities. But I have no doubt you'll rise to the occasion. You're a true champion in every sense of the word."
Haru nodded, taking a deep breath. "Thanks, Lance. I won't let you down."
Before Haru could reflect too much on the future, his mind wandered back to his friends, like Ash, who had always supported him along the way. His rivalry with Ash wasn't over; it was only just beginning, and Hoenn awaited. Haru could already feel the excitement rising in his chest at the thought of his next journey.
As he turned to leave the stadium, his Pokémon by his side, Haru knew that while this victory was monumental, it was just one stop along the way. There was more to do, more to prove, and more to explore.
Meanwhile, in the stands, Ash had already set his sights on Hoenn. Diamond's suggestion sparked something inside him—an eagerness to challenge the Hoenn League. "Hoenn, here I come," Ash muttered to himself, a grin spreading across his face. He knew that his next big challenge was waiting for him.
As the scene shifted back to the stadium, Haru's final words echoed in the arena.
"Let's go, everyone. This is just the beginning!"
