Mega Alakazam unleashed its Psychic attack, directing a powerful telekinetic blast at Golbat as it braced to withstand Mega Charizard Y's Solar Beam.

Thanks to Eddie's strategy, Mega Alakazam's attack landed perfectly, catching their opponent completely off guard.

Not only had their enemy been deceived, but even Sabrina hadn't realized Eddie had orchestrated this scenario from the beginning.

Only when Eddie deliberately shouted "Solar Beam!" loudly enough to catch Sabrina's attention did she notice his tactical maneuvering. His call prompted her to instantly recognize the opportunity he'd created, spurring her into action.

As the saying goes, to deceive the enemy, you must sometimes deceive your allies. Eddie's ploy had successfully confused their opponents.

In response, Muk and the other Poison-type went berserk, disregarding their injuries and charging directly toward Sabrina.

Their frantic behavior reflected their controller's frustration. Eddie imagined the mastermind was seething with rage.

But Sabrina had anticipated this reaction. Knowing they would attempt to stop her attack, she had already instructed Mr. Mime to prepare defensive countermeasures.

Another sequence of Reflect, Barrier, Safeguard, and Light Screen formed an impenetrable shield. This defensive combination could withstand assaults from not just a Gym Leader like Koga, but even Elite-level trainers would struggle to breach it.

With her defenses secure, Mega Alakazam's attack struck Golbat cleanly.

The Bat Pokémon emitted a pained screech as it plummeted from the air.

Between the type advantage and Mega Alakazam's overwhelming power, the attack had instantly incapacitated it.

"Ding! Charizard and Alakazam defeated Golbat, sharing experience proportionally. Since Alakazam contributed the most, Charizard received one-fifth of the total experience!"

"Ding! Charizard gained experience! Level +3! Reached Level 43!"

"Ding! Lucario gained experience! Level +2! Reached Level 45! Learned Heal Pulse!"

"Ding! Greninja gained experience! Level +3! Reached Level 42! Learned Substitute!"

"Ding! Sceptile gained experience! Level +3! Reached Level 42!"

"Ding! Gabite gained experience! Level +5! Reached Level 38! Learned Dragon Claw!"

"Ding! Larvitar gained experience! Level +8! Reached Level 31! Learned Crunch!"

"So all that effort from Mega Charizard Y only took away one-fifth of Golbat's HP?" Eddie mused. "And Mega Alakazam eliminated the remaining four-fifths with a single attack."

"I should be grateful I managed to hit Golbat's wing earlier. Otherwise, that minimal damage wouldn't have slowed it down at all."

Looking at the experience gained, Eddie had to acknowledge Golbat's power as a Quasi-Elite Pokémon. Even receiving just one-fifth of the experience, his team had made significant progress.

Larvitar could evolve now if released, but this wasn't the moment—the battle wasn't over yet.

"With Golbat down, the enemy can no longer coordinate their Pokémon," Eddie announced, turning his attention back to Gary and Koga. They were no longer the threat they had been.

Gary and his Pokémon remained under mind control. With Gastly still present but without a Trainer's guidance, it could barely manipulate Gary and his Pokémon to attack.

Koga, however, faced a different situation. His Pokémon weren't directly controlled, and without a Trainer commanding Gastly, it couldn't effectively direct Koga to command his own Pokémon.

Even if it could control Gary and his Pokémon, they would attack instinctively like those on the lower floors—hardly a serious threat.

"The ninja's Pokémon are probably confused without commands, and Gary isn't dangerous anymore," Eddie called to Sabrina. "You just keep watch and handle any attacks.

"I'll direct Kangaskhan to deal with Gastly now, and this battle will be over!"

Eddie recalled the fatigued Charizard, which had just reverted from its Mega Evolution after using Solar Beam. He returned it to its Poké Ball, then rushed toward Kangaskhan's ongoing battle with Gastly, ready to take command and finish the Ghost-type.

"This elite kid actually thinks he can give me orders," Sabrina thought, slightly amused. "But since his battle awareness is on par with mine, I suppose I can indulge him."

She didn't actually object to Eddie's commands. She was simply maintaining her pride, since she was significantly stronger than him.

"If not for the Kangaskhan, I would have sent him to the hospital back on the first floor," she reflected. "But it's fortunate it was here.

"Otherwise, I would have faced this alone. With the exits blocked, escape would have been impossible.

"I might have been worn down by Koga until I fell under the same control."

The thought brought a faint smile to Sabrina's face.

Though she could devise strategies like Eddie's, she doubted she could have managed this situation alone.

Regardless, this battle had truly been salvaged thanks to Eddie's presence, and Sabrina felt a glimmer of gratitude toward him. "If we become enemies in the future and face each other...I'll hold back. Once."

Sabrina was acutely aware of her position.

As the third executive of Team Rocket, she stood opposite to law-abiding trainers.

Even if Eddie's behavior suggested he wasn't entirely virtuous, he certainly wasn't as wicked as Team Rocket.

They would likely meet as adversaries on some future battlefield.

Sabrina decided she would restrain herself against Eddie should that happen. If she couldn't defeat him, she would retreat.

But only once. Gratitude had its limits, especially between enemies. She couldn't let him go every time they clashed.

"Miss Sofia, take care of these two!" Eddie's voice interrupted her contemplation.

She assessed the battlefield carefully and realized Eddie was being attacked by Gary and Koga. Apparently, Gastly had recognized it couldn't defeat Kangaskhan under a Trainer's command, so it redirected Gary and Koga to attack Eddie instead.

Gary's situation was straightforward—Gastly controlled all his Pokémon. Koga, however, had engaged personally, drawing several shuriken and hurling them at Eddie.

Koga's Pokémon appeared confused. Without commands from their Trainer, they loyally protected him, merely watching as he attacked with shuriken.

Gastly proved most cunning, hiding directly behind Gary while constantly launching Shadow Ball attacks at Eddie.

"I said before—if you want to attack Morning Sun, you'll have to get through me first!" Sabrina felt her anger rising again.

It was one thing when Gastly's Trainer had dismissed her earlier—after all, the enemy was clearly stronger than her.

But this Gastly? A Pokémon without a Trainer's guidance, even if it was Champion-level, had no right to ignore her presence and authority.
