Eddie realized that while Koga and Gary were formidable, he couldn't attack them directly—that would be crossing a line.

Meanwhile, the Champion-level Gastly was completely terrified and had manipulated Gary and Koga to stand in front of it as human shields, trying to use them as protection against Eddie.

The strategy was undeniably effective. Gastly positioned itself directly behind Gary. If Eddie attacked, Gary would inevitably be caught in the crossfire.

And the dragon's attacks? Even just the collateral damage could potentially be fatal to Gary.

"Galu! Galu!!" Kangaskhan roared. (You cowardly Gastly! Using my Trainer's grandson as a shield—you despicable, shameless creature! Come out and face me properly!)

"Haxia! Haxia!!" Gastly shot back. (Only a fool would fight you head-on! If I can't beat you, why wouldn't I find protection? If you've got the courage, attack your Trainer's grandson—I'll admire you if you dare!)

Kangaskhan backed away. It truly didn't dare attack, knowing its Trainer would certainly punish it severely when they returned.

Eddie remained silent. Though he knew the Trainer Kangaskhan mentioned wasn't him, he couldn't help but find humor in the situation, especially since he was currently commanding Kangaskhan.

Even Eddie had almost laughed when Kangaskhan referred to Gary as his grandson, misinterpreting the Pokemon's meaning.

But if Kangaskhan wouldn't attack, how could Eddie? Fortunately, Eddie wasn't fighting alone. In this tricky situation, a Psychic expert would find it easiest to resolve the problem.

"Miss Sabrina, get these two out of the way!" Eddie called out. Psychic attacks weren't limited to affecting just Pokemon.

The previous battle had been intense, with enemy Pokemon under someone's command. Sabrina couldn't directly attack Gary and Koga then, but now they weren't being controlled by an enemy Trainer—just a desperate Gastly.

The solution was simple.

"Mega Alakazam, help me move them away!" Sabrina commanded.

Sabrina's eyes began emitting a faint purple glow, mirroring her Mega Alakazam—the prelude to their Psychic abilities.

Mega Alakazam used Telekinesis to levitate Golduck, Charmeleon, Arbok, and Muk, moving them away from Gastly's position.

Simultaneously, Sabrina used her own Psychic powers to float Gary and Koga away in the same manner.

Just like that, Gastly lost both its shields and its Pokemon.

"Ha! Ha! Ha!" Gastly wailed. (This is terrible! I'm finished!)

Gastly didn't attempt to maintain control over them or try flying off with its captives to continue hiding.

But Eddie and Kangaskhan weren't about to let it escape—especially Kangaskhan, which was already primed for battle.

"Gar! Gar!!" Kangaskhan bellowed. (So much for showing off! Let's see if you can continue now—I'll make you regret ever being born!)

"Go for it, Kangaskhan! Use Dizzy Punch!" Eddie commanded.

Normally, Normal-type moves couldn't hit Ghost-types without using moves like Foresight first.

But Kangaskhan's ability was Scrappy, which allowed its Normal and Fighting-type moves to affect Ghost-type Pokemon.

Eddie directed Kangaskhan to attack, and the dragon, already prepared, launched itself at Gastly.

Punch after punch landed like rhythmic blows, as Kangaskhan continued its assault while Gastly could only dodge desperately.

All of Gastly's moves were Ghost-type, leaving it ineffective against Normal-types. Its previous battle with Kangaskhan had only been successful thanks to its Trainer's commands.

Unfortunately for Gastly, while Gengar could learn two Fighting-type moves, Gastly couldn't.

The enemy had clearly chosen not to evolve Gastly to maintain its unique characteristics. Though this gave it certain strengths, its weakness was a more limited movepool.

"Haha! Haha!!" Gastly cried. (What's with this same move again and again? Don't you know any others?!)

"Gar! Gar!!" Kangaskhan retorted. (This Trainer is quite knowledgeable—he knows I enjoy hitting you with this move the most! You want different moves? Fine, I'll give you something special now!)

As Gastly continued screaming, Kangaskhan happily landed punch after punch.

Just as Kangaskhan finished speaking, Dizzy Punch's secondary effect triggered.

The move had a chance to confuse opponents after hitting them, and after delivering more than a dozen strikes, the effect finally activated.

Gastly stopped screaming and began floating erratically, clearly disoriented. Not only had it stopped dodging attacks, but it was moving around chaotically.

"It's confused! Finish it off, Kangaskhan! Use Mega Punch!" Eddie called out, seeing his opportunity.

Gastly was already weaker than Kangaskhan without a Trainer's guidance—otherwise, this battle between Champion-level Pokemon wouldn't have concluded so easily. It was remarkable that Gastly had withstood more than twenty punches already.

But now it was over. Gastly was seriously injured and confused. Its fate was sealed.

Hearing Eddie's command, Kangaskhan roared triumphantly, raised its fist, and channeled energy from throughout its body into the strike.

It delivered a devastating blow to the confused Gastly.

BOOM!

Gastly flew like a tennis ball, crashing into the tower wall with such force that the structure instantly cracked.

Yet Gastly hadn't fallen completely, though it was close. Kangaskhan's assault wasn't finished.

The dragon charged toward Gastly and raised its other fist. Both fists had gathered energy, and after landing one punch, it prepared the second.

"Garoo!!" Kangaskhan shouted. (Gastly! See you never!)

The momentum from Kangaskhan's charge significantly increased the power of its Mega Punch. Facing the nearly defeated Gastly, it opened its mouth wide in excitement and delivered the final blow.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The force of Kangaskhan's punch completely destroyed the Pokemon Tower wall behind Gastly.

Gastly was sent flying through the wall and out of the Pokemon Tower along with fragments of broken stone.

"Ha ha!" Gastly cried out. (Curse you, Kangaskhan! I'll definitely get my revenge next time!)

Gastly's pained cry echoed as it was launched away, a final defiant shout before disappearing.

"Garoo!!" Kangaskhan bellowed back. (Gastly! Come back with your Trainer if you dare! Then we'll see who's talking!)

As the victor, Kangaskhan naturally maintained its arrogant demeanor, roaring these words as Gastly vanished into the distance.

Sabrina couldn't understand the conversation between the Pokemon even with her Psychic abilities. Only Eddie, thanks to the power of Viridian, had heard their entire quarrel.

Regarding this exchange, Eddie had only one thing to say:

"You two are really something else," he commented with amusement.
