Chapter 10: Legends of Kanto Comic

With the lunch problem solved, the work of the welfare home came to a temporary halt.

Taylor's daily work is relatively fixed.

He gets up early to make breakfast, then takes care of adopted and newly delivered Pokémon, then makes lunch. The afternoon is his personal time, then dinner, watches TV with the little ones, cleans, and goes to bed.

Taylor has been spending almost the past two months like this.

This kind of life is very easy. Compared with being a corporate slave in a company, Taylor prefers this kind of comfortable life.

"So now," After washing the dishes, Taylor returned to his office. He sat on the chair, looked at the papers on the table, and twisted his wrist.

Taylor plans to make some extra money.

After all, the welfare home's current financial situation is not very good, and there are many places where money is needed. Taylor cannot always rely on the Alliance's assistance.

People always have to find their own way.

Taylor was very clear about the principle that if you rely on the mountain, the mountain will fall; if you rely on the water, the water will run away.

Although the support for him would not stop as long as the Alliance remained, Taylor still wanted to do something. After all, with more money, Taylor could do more.

For example, hiring specialized staff, or making sure the little ones eat better.

So Taylor picked up his old job.

"Well, the first few chapters have been completed," Taylor looked at the comic draft in his hand and was quite satisfied.

Before he traveled through time, Taylor was an original artist who also worked part-time drawing comics to earn some extra money. Fortunately, he was lucky and had already gained some fame before AI painting swept the world.

So after the emergence of AI painting, Taylor did not lose his job, but he earned less extra money.

Since he started running the welfare home, Taylor planned to make some extra money through comics to maintain the normal operation of the welfare home.

Between being a plagiarist copying Japanese comics and coming up with his own stories, Taylor chose another path.

"Legends of Kanto," this is the name of Taylor's comic.

On the cover, a Lucario is standing atop a rocky cliff under a full moon, channeling a radiant Aura Sphere move, facing a rival clan's Pokémon led by a Gengar.

Well, it is the world of Pokémon after all, and Taylor also made a few minor adaptations to Legends of Kanto, otherwise he would have to explain what a human shinobi or a tailed spirit is, which would have been too troublesome.

Of course, even so, Taylor still has a lot to explain, but fortunately these settings can be gradually improved in the future.

Thinking of this, Taylor collected his comic manuscript, put it in a file bag, and then took it out and chose to mail it.

The largest comic weekly in the Kanto area, "Kanto Manqing," is Taylor's submission target. If it can be passed, Taylor can also get a sum of royalties to improve the lives of the little ones.

After solving the comics problem, Taylor felt a little more relaxed, and the rest of the time was time he could use as he pleased.

Although the phenomenon of abandonment has always existed in the Pokémon world, after it was detailed in the city, abandonment did not happen every day, and Taylor naturally had time to do other things.

The Alliance issues relevant policy adjustments for welfare homes in each alliance city.

Taylor sat in a chair and looked at the documents issued by the Alliance. These things were closely related to his welfare home, and Taylor often checked them.

"Krow!" With a cry, Kuro flew in directly from the window and landed on Taylor's table.

"What's wrong?" Taylor looked at Kuro, and his eyelids twitched. Could it be that someone else abandoned a Pokémon?

Kuro looked at Taylor and moved his left foot, and Taylor understood.

Someone is coming.

Taylor walked out puzzled. His welfare home was located on the edge of Viridian City, which could be considered close to the suburbs. However, if it were not so, it would be difficult to get such a large piece of land to build a welfare home.

Therefore, usually there are few people coming to his welfare home, and those who occasionally come are the staff of the Alliance, who come to distribute materials and so on.

Or the abandoned Pokémon sent by Joy Claire or Officer Jenny.

After that, some volunteers came to do volunteer work and help out.

But when he opened the door, Taylor found out that he was wrong.

"Taylor, good afternoon," Looking at the smiling man in front of him, Taylor's eyelids twitched again.

"Mr. Giovanni, what are you doing?" Taylor looked at Giovanni in front of him, a little confused about the other party's purpose.

Could it be that Giovanni came here again to ask him to join his Viridian Gym? Taylor didn't think so.

"We have a new group of apprentices coming to our gym today. I would like them to come here as volunteers for a few days to hone their character," Giovanni said with a smile, and Taylor only then noticed that there was a bus behind, and five young people wearing Viridian City gym uniforms got off from it one after another.

Taylor raised his eyebrows. If it was to be a volunteer, there would be no problem.

Occasionally, volunteers come to work at Taylor's welfare home, taking care of the little ones, playing with them, and so on.

Of course, they will also be responsible for cleaning, cooking, and so on, and the most important thing is that they don't need to be paid.

"That's of course no problem. Thank you very much, Mr. Giovanni," Taylor said with a smile. He did not doubt whether there were any members of Team Rocket among these people.

After all, this is Giovanni's gym apprentice, and it would be stupid to bring in a Team Rocket member here.

"This is what we should do," Giovanni said a few polite words and then walked over with the apprentices.

Taylor took a look and saw five people in total, three men and two women. They were not very old. The youngest girl was probably in her teens, and the older one was around twenty years old.

Although Taylor was very clear about Giovanni's identity, he had no ill will towards these volunteers.

He politely introduced to them some of the work in the welfare home, and also introduced the Pokémon currently here.

Giovanni accompanied him throughout the whole process, smiling, making him unpredictable.

Taylor glanced at Giovanni. This guy Giovanni was even more difficult to deal with in reality than in the game. He was too scheming.

Giovanni, Gym Leader of Viridian City, Famous Philanthropist in Kanto, Honorary Citizen of Viridian City, Protector of the Natural Environment and Wood, are the characters that Giovanni created for himself.

It can be said that before Giovanni's true identity was revealed, this guy was a good citizen.

"Mr. Taylor, my family runs a bookstore. Can I donate some books?" A girl raised her hand.

Taylor was stunned for a moment.

"Of course you can. I've been thinking about setting up a library in the welfare home," Taylor was a little happy. He had actually been thinking about buying some books so that the Pokémon could read.

It's okay to buy one or two books, but buying more is quite expensive, so Taylor has never set up a library.
