When the Water Shuriken expanded to triple its size and transformed from blue to golden, everyone knew this battle had reached its climax.

Archie considered evading, but the massive Water Shuriken was already large enough to cover any escape route Mega Sharpedo might take—dodging was impossible!

Left with no choice, Archie decided to face it head-on, commanding Mega Sharpedo to unleash another "Hydro Cannon." The result was devastating... Mega Sharpedo was slammed violently against the ground, creating cracks that spread inch by inch across the entire room's floor.

The impact nearly lifted the entire floor off its foundation!

If it weren't for Pokemon's natural resilience and battle protection, Mega Sharpedo would have been reduced to sashimi!

"You're an intelligent man," Chris said, looking directly at Archie while throwing his own words back at him. "The gap between our strengths is obvious. Do you wish to continue?"

Archie's expression soured, but he responded with nothing more than a cold snort.

"You've missed your chance to witness greatness," he declared. "Soon, you'll regret this!"

With those words, he retrieved his Poke Ball, recalled Sharpedo, turned around, and leapt into the pool behind him.

Just as Chris moved to pursue, Shelly stepped between them.

"Your opponent is me!" she declared.

Another Sharpedo burst through the water current and charged toward Chris.

But when it came within two meters of Chris, Greninja intercepted it with a perfectly executed Slash attack!

Immediately, everything in front of them began to collapse.

Chris returned to his room.

This meant the simulation battle had ended.

"Finally, Greninja's Bond Evolution has been completed," Chris sighed with relief.

Initially, he had expected Greninja would need to face a desperate battle to achieve Mega Evolution, but surprisingly, it succeeded after encountering only moderate difficulties and obstacles.

This achievement was largely thanks to the "Soothe Bell" blessed by Mesprit.

Chris pulled out the Soothe Bell. While his teacher called it a "quasi-legendary item," it functioned as effectively as a legendary item in situations requiring emotional bonds as a power source.

After tucking the Soothe Bell away, Chris checked his handheld device, which displayed the rewards for completing the dungeon:

[Dungeon "Team Aqua Base" (Completed), rewards as follows:]

[1. Random Advanced Pokemon Item]

[2. Rare TM]

[3. Random Exclusive Item for Team Pokemon]

[4. Mega Stone for Designated Pokemon] (Reward for completing side missions)

[5. Blue Orb (Sealed)] (Special first-completion reward)

As expected from a Level 80 dungeon—clearing Team Aqua's base finally yielded some exceptional rewards.

Chris examined the fifth item first.

Blue Orb (Sealed): Created by ancient humans to control legendary Pokemon. With it, you can awaken the Sea Basin Pokemon in specific locations!

(This item is currently sealed and cannot be used. Will unlock after completing the story quest, gaining additional attributes)

Chris recognized the Blue Orb from the games as an item that could awaken Kyogre at designated locations after completing the main storyline. Additionally, it allowed Kyogre to undergo Primal Reversion, as its essence contained crystallized Natural Energy.

The difference here was that this orb remained sealed until certain story requirements were met, at which point it would gain additional attributes!

Regarding the plot that needed completion, Chris suspected it involved the battle between Kyogre and Groudon. According to the storyline, the Blue Orb should currently be in Archie's possession.

Chris could reasonably guess that he would obtain the "Red Orb" corresponding to Groudon after clearing Team Magma's base.

He looked forward to seeing the effects once the storyline concluded—both orbs were legendary Pokemon items at minimum!

After collecting the Blue Orb, Chris turned his attention to the other rewards.

For the Mega Stone for a designated Pokemon, he didn't hesitate—his main team needed strengthening, so he exchanged it for Tyranitar's Mega Stone.

He had been wondering when he'd find Tyranitar's Mega Stone, and here it was!

As expected, clearing Team Magma's dungeon would likely yield another Mega Stone. That one he'd give to Aggron on his secondary team.

The third reward provided Chris with an exclusive item for one of the Pokemon he had brought into the dungeon.

The item was a "Magikarp Ribbon."

...How unexpected.

Magikarp Ribbon: 50% chance to reduce Electric-type attack damage by 50% (Exclusive to Magikarp and Gyarados, ineffective when held by other Pokemon)

"Huh?" Chris was taken aback when he saw this item. Exclusive to Magikarp and Gyarados?

He recalled that Gyarados already possessed an exclusive item.

Chris immediately retrieved Gyarados's current held item from his backpack.

Rainstorm Scarf: When the Pokemon enters battle, weather changes to rain. Water-type moves don't consume PP during rainy weather (Exclusive to Magikarp and Gyarados, ineffective when held by other Pokemon)

The two exclusive items each had unique advantages—one created rain, while the other mitigated Gyarados's Electric-type weakness.

The former could establish rainy conditions when facing non-Electric Pokemon. With Greninja on his team, this would prove beneficial, as he could switch from Gyarados to Greninja.

During rainfall, the Golden Water Shuriken would become even more powerful!

The latter compensated for Gyarados's vulnerability to Electric attacks.

This was undoubtedly a huge advantage.

For Gyarados, with its quadruple weakness to Electric moves, this item was practically half an artifact.

A 50% chance to reduce damage by 50% essentially converted a quadruple weakness into merely double weakness.

But... with only a 50% probability and still retaining double weakness, Chris wondered if a "Focus Sash" might prove more practical?

However, after Mega Evolving, Gyarados would change to Water/Dark type, meaning that if the 50% damage reduction activated, Electric attacks would have no super-effective bonus.

As Chris contemplated which exclusive item Gyarados should hold, a notification suddenly appeared on his handheld device.

[Combine "Magikarp Ribbon" with "Rainstorm Scarf"?]

"They can be synthesized?" Chris exclaimed in surprise, immediately selecting "Yes."

[Acquired item: Crown of Gyarados (★★)]

Crown of Gyarados (★★): When Pokemon enters battle, weather changes to heavy rain.

Water-type moves don't consume PP during rainy weather. When hit by Electric-type moves, 50% chance to reduce damage by 50% and 25% chance to absorb the attack, recovering 25% of your HP. (Exclusive to Magikarp and Gyarados, ineffective when held by other Pokemon)
