In the blink of an eye, two more weeks had gone by. Including the initial four days, less than three days now remained in the island survival trial.

During the first three days, Sato and Thomas had mostly spent their time recovering. However, much had happened in that span—chiefly concerning the future of several Pokémon.

After asking his Pokémon for their preferences, Golduck, Ariados, and Ursaring expressed their desire to part ways. Golduck didn't want to leave the group it had long protected, while Ariados and Ursaring wished to remain on the mysterious island—their native homeland.

Since it was their decision, Sato didn't force them to stay. He personally escorted Golduck, Ariados, and Ursaring back to the places where they had once lived peacefully.

Another pressing matter was Heracross's condition. Due to the long-term abuse he'd suffered in the Heracross horde, he had already been carrying numerous internal injuries. And after taking a direct Fire Punch from Ranka's Mega Aggron, those hidden injuries began to erupt all at once.

Faced with this situation, even Bellossom was helpless. To save Heracross, Sato had no choice but to teleport him to the base for treatment. The cost? Heracross would be unavailable for the rest of the survival trial.

This left Sato with just Swampert, Arcanine, Bellossom, the Red Shiny Gyarados, and Kecleon—his overall strength had taken a serious hit.

After three days of rest, Sato and Thomas resumed their exploration—this time venturing into yet-uncharted areas.

At first, Sato again chose to explore the western side of the island. As a result, he unexpectedly ran into Vanna, who had recently lost her servants and was rapidly expanding her territory.

Even though Sato had previously "gifted" her a massive amount of treasure, Vanna, ever dominant on the mysterious island, showed him no leniency. Enraged over Noda escaping from her clutches, she launched a fierce assault the moment she saw Sato.

Ever since arriving on the island, Vanna had been in constant combat—frequently engaging in large-scale battles.

By then, her Kommo-o had already reached level 60, and her other Pokémon were mostly above level 50. Meanwhile, despite Swampert having faced off against Ranka, its level remained unchanged at 53.

Unsurprisingly, Sato suffered a devastating defeat in his battle against Vanna. Thankfully, with Thomas's support—and the fact that Vanna lacked a Pokémon capable of long-distance pursuit—Sato and Thomas managed to escape unscathed thanks to Arcanine and Rapidash.

However, to save the Red Shiny Gyarados, who had been pushed to the brink of death by Vanna's Ampharos, Sato had to use his last emergency Revival Serum.

After this crushing loss, Sato and Thomas had to spend two full days nursing their Pokémon back to health.

With Vanna blocking the western path, Sato had no choice but to redirect his exploration northward. He began training through constant battles with the wild Pokémon of the northern region to strengthen his team.

This time, Sato and Thomas encountered no threats on the level of Vanna—who was arguably even more dangerous than Ranka. In the first week of their northern exploration, they successfully eliminated six contestants.

As a result, Sato used four number tags to retrieve his Crobat, Shiny Beautifly, Ditto, and a fresh emergency Revival Serum. Meanwhile, Thomas recovered his Magnezone and Weezing with two number tags.

With the return of Crobat, Shiny Beautifly, and Ditto, Sato's overall strength saw a massive boost. During their northern expedition, Sato singlehandedly drove off multiple Pokémon groups, earning himself a formidable reputation in the region.

By now, Sato had personally defeated sixteen contestants. After giving two number tags to Thomas, his official count stood at fourteen.

Through intense battles with strong wild Pokémon, his team had grown significantly over the past two weeks. The one who improved the most was undoubtedly Swampert.

After being defeated head-on by Vanna's Kommo-o, the proud Swampert began rigorously pushing itself, training through relentless combat to unleash its full potential in hopes of redeeming that defeat.

With Sato's guidance and Bellossom's support, Swampert repeatedly fended off small and mid-sized wild Pokémon groups and battled their leaders. Thanks to its perfect IVs, its strength grew rapidly.

Swampert had now reached level 59—just one short of the level 60 milestone. (Leveling up gets harder at this stage.)

Even on an island teeming with powerful wild Pokémon, Swampert could no longer be called weak. It was now comparable in level to the leaders of many Pokémon groups.

Next in line was Bellossom, the team's healer. Although the island was home to countless Grass- and Bug-type Pokémon, once she found the right training spot, Bellossom's progress was impressive.

Armed with Quiver Dance and Swords Dance, her leveling speed actually surpassed most of Sato's other Pokémon. She too could now solo small groups—especially those of Ground- or Rock-types.

Thanks to Synthesis, her stamina far outclassed her teammates'. If she weren't constantly healing the others, her level might have overtaken even Swampert's.

Still, despite the time lost to healing duties, Bellossom had successfully reached level 52.

Then there was the Shiny Beautifly—the insect queen. As a Bug/Flying-type Pokémon on an island overflowing with Grass- and Bug-types, she held a significant advantage.

Initially at level 37, she leveled rapidly among wild Pokémon typically in the 30–40 range. Once she reached level 40 and learned her signature move Quiver Dance, her growth accelerated further.

Unlike Bellossom, who still hadn't fully mastered Quiver Dance despite rigorous training, Shiny Beautifly seemed to learn it as naturally as breathing. Combining Quiver Dance, a mutated Supreme Sky Splitting Stone, and Stun Spore, she soon gained the power to solo small wild Pokémon groups.

After defeating several Bug- and Grass-type groups on her own, Shiny Beautifly had reached level 49.

Interestingly, perhaps due to her status as the Bug Monarch, many strong Bug-types had tried courting her—including a level 75 Elite-Four level Scyther.

Shiny Beautifly turned most suitors away with disdain, though she did show some interest in the Scyther.

Still, interest didn't mean acceptance. She had them compete against each other, stating that only the strongest would earn a date.

After fierce competition, the Elite Four level Scyther emerged victorious and earned a date with her.

Unfortunately, that Scyther already had a mate—one nearly as powerful as himself. In the end, he was dragged home by his furious partner and forced to grovel.

Following Swampert, Bellossom, and Shiny Beautifly, the Red Gyarados also saw massive improvement. Thanks to its Intimidate ability and its Special Ability - Tyrant, it became a highly efficient predator of the weak.

The Red Gyarados became the fourth of Sato's Pokémon capable of soloing small wild Pokémon groups.

Especially after hitting level 45 and unlocking Dragon Dance through its bloodline, it even gained the power to challenge medium-sized groups.

Now at level 52, the Red Shiny Gyarados had completed its transformation from a bullied golden Magikarp into a fearsome crimson dragon known throughout the region.

That left Arcanine and Crobat.

Because Sato couldn't risk burning down the forest and inciting mass retaliation from the island's wild Pokémon, he rarely let Arcanine fight at full power, even though it could take on Bug- or Grass-type groups on its own.

As a result, Arcanine's leveling lagged behind the others and had only just reached level 50.

As for Crobat, due to his recent return and his inability to solo wild Pokémon groups, his growth naturally fell behind his teammates. His current level was only 48, but that was completely understable.
