POKEMON : THE WAY OF PERCEPTION

Chapter 100: Chapter 101: Huge Shadow

While waiting for the time to come, Ash and his friends learned a lot from Bill. Many things they didn't fully understand before became clearer through Bill's explanations.

"As expected of Professor Bill, his knowledge is vast!" Brock, who was taking notes, marveled at Bill's expertise.

No matter what questions Ash and his friends asked, Bill had answers from his own perspective, and he humbly reminded them that his views were not necessarily absolute truths. Instead, he encouraged them to test and discover things for themselves.

Ash and Misty were also impressed. Although Bill may not have been the best at Pokémon battles, his research skills were exceptional. His knowledge seemed limitless, and he truly had a gift for invention. His contributions had helped shape the current era of Pokémon research.

"The time is almost here. If my calculations are correct, it should be appearing soon..." At exactly 7:50, Bill had been watching the clock intently. He paused his explanations, signaling for everyone to get ready for the giant Pokémon he believed would appear soon.

Although Bill was confident in his prediction and was certain the giant Pokémon was Dragonite, he refrained from concluding anything until they actually saw it.

"Here, have some water!" Brock quickly took out a glass of juice he had prepared earlier. Not only was it refreshing for humans, but it was also safe for Pokémon to drink, and it had restorative properties.

"It's delicious!" Bill smiled as he accepted the drink from Brock. He couldn't help but feel that Brock was someone he'd like to have around. Brock had a great appetite for learning and could even cook like a pro.

"Woo..." Just then, a haunting cry echoed across the sea, and with it, a thick mist began to roll in.

"It's not a naturally occurring fog. It's... Mist!" Ash's eyes widened as he immediately noticed the mist wasn't a product of nature but rather something that had been created using energy. The thick fog was so dense that Ash couldn't see more than ten meters in front of him, and it stretched at least a kilometer in all directions.

Brock and Misty were equally shocked by the sight. The fog was clearly an unnatural phenomenon. Could this be a move used by the giant Dragonite?

"That's right. This is indeed an Ice-type move called Mist," Bill remarked, surprised by Ash's keen observation. It took Bill a couple of moments to confirm that the fog was indeed created by Bianca's Mist move.

"The giant Dragonite seems to prefer hiding itself whenever it appears here. Every time it comes, it uses Mist to obscure itself before..."

Bill paused as another cry sounded from the mist, and he continued, "It uses a Growl, hoping to get a response from the person or Pokémon it's waiting for."

"Now, it's time to act!" Bill said, pulling out a remote control that he had brought with him earlier. He pressed a button, and the same Growl sound was broadcast through the loudspeakers of the lighthouse.

"Woo..." As the sound filled the air, a cry answered from within the mist. Slowly, a massive shadow began to emerge from the dense fog.

The shadow was enormous. The lighthouse, standing at around 100 meters tall, barely seemed to compare. The shadow was so large that it appeared even taller than the lighthouse itself.

"It's unbelievable... Is there really such a huge Pokémon in the world?" Brock gasped, his eyes wide with astonishment. He had heard about giant Pokémon, but seeing one in person was beyond anything he could have imagined.

"Wow... this is amazing..." Misty was at a loss for words. The sheer size of the shadow was beyond anything she could comprehend. This Pokémon was truly... massive!
