POKEMON : THE WAY OF PERCEPTION

Chapter 101: Chapter 102: Super Huge Dragonite

"This... this... this..." The Rocket team, who were climbing the cliff, also saw the massive shadow looming ahead. From the moment they began their ascent, they could feel a huge shockwave rippling through the air.

"In this world... does such a massive Pokémon really exist?" James whispered in disbelief, his eyes widening at the sight of the giant Pokémon's shadow. It was truly a sight that left him stunned.

"If I can catch such a colossal Pokémon and give it to the boss..." Jessie, though equally shocked by its size, couldn't suppress her desire to capture the enormous Pokémon for herself. The thought of it alone filled her with excitement.

"Meow..." Meowth was speechless. As a Pokémon himself, he could feel the immense threat radiating from this gigantic creature. His body instinctively shuddered as he glanced at the launcher hanging from Jessie's shoulder, then swallowed hard.

He had no doubt—this invention of his might work on capturing Pikachu, but this giant Dragonite... It felt like an impossible task.

However, Meowth couldn't help but glance nervously at Jessie. Compared to this colossal Pokémon, Jessie herself seemed even more frightening. He couldn't help but imagine that if he spoke out now, at this steep cliff's edge, Jessie might very well toss him down into the sea in an instant, leaving him to face a watery grave.

Thinking of such consequences, Meowth shivered, and wisely kept his mouth shut.

"It's approaching... when should we take action?" Jessie looked at James and Meowth, still in shock. She knew her own limits and, being self-aware, left the decision to them.

"Well... Jessie, maybe we should just give up," James said cautiously. Meowth's eyes instantly lit up as he silently gave James a thumbs-up in his mind.

"Give up?! You want us to give up now?! If we quit now, all the money we've earned from our part-time work will be wasted!" Sure enough, just as Meowth had thought, Jessie exploded in anger at James's suggestion.

"That's right! James, you're such a coward!" Meowth immediately chimed in, accusing James of backing down.

"This... fine..." James sighed in defeat. After all, they were a team, and he had no choice but to risk his life alongside his companions. Despite the danger, he had to go through with it if only for the sake of their plans to capture this giant Pokémon.

"Let's wait for it to get closer; it's too far right now, and the launcher has a limited range!" Meowth suggested with a sly grin.

"Hmm... that's true..." Jessie nodded, her mind already racing with ideas.

After a short while, the giant Pokémon drew closer to the cliff, and the distance between them was now less than 50 meters. The Pokémon had come within range of the launcher.

"Now, Jessie, attack!" Meowth shouted eagerly, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

"Don't order me!" Jessie snapped back, but despite her words, she unstrapped the launcher from her back, positioned it on her shoulder, and aimed it directly at the enormous Pokémon. Without further hesitation, she pulled the trigger.

"Boom!" A burst of flames erupted from the launcher, sending shells hurtling toward the massive Pokémon. Within moments, the shells exploded against the Pokémon's belly, creating a violent impact.

"Quick!" The gigantic Pokémon let out a furious roar, its massive form shaking from the shock of the attack. The shells hadn't caused it any harm, but the sudden assault had clearly angered it.

In reality, the Pokémon had already realized that the sound it was hearing was not the voice of its long-lost companion but rather a human-made noise. Still, it was drawn to the sound because it resembled the familiar voice of its companion from the past, evoking a sense of nostalgia.
