Primordial Draconic Incubus With A Gourmet Chef System

Chapter 204: Receiving His Share

Sir Cyrus cleared his throat and forced a grin to salvage his pride. "Ah, of course. Of course."

'My good fortune, gone just like that. What a pity.' After that, he left the auction house.

From the way Meng Ruo handled the situation, it was quite obvious she was used to it. Though it made sense she would be pestered by men who thought with their lower head with the way she was dressed and acted. Her sultry voice and revealing clothes could make many men fall to their knees.

Despite finding Meng Ruo displeasing, Lily could not help but voice out her disgust for the old man, "Shameless. How can someone so old chase after someone like her? He should be chasing after his walking stick instead."

'It seems she isn't entirely innocent and naive.' Lucian inwardly mused after a chuckle, realizing Lily understood what the old fart was after.

On the other hand, the others in the room could not help but laugh out loud.

Minutes later, Lucian was enjoying a hot cup of tea. After everyone had stopped laughing upon hearing Lily's joke, Mei knocked on their room asking them to follow her to meet Branch Leader Yoshiko.

Now, in a lavish grand room, Lucian was sitting with everyone he came to the auction with on an enormous plush sofa.

While the person who asked for their presence, Branch Leader Yoshiko, sat before them in a single, chair.

A cup of tea nestled between the hands of all present, while fragrant steam rose, impacting their face.

Lucian inhaled deeply, savoring the mellow aroma of the tea.

Yoshiko was the first to break the silence. "How is the tea?" She inquired before taking a small sip of the delectable tea, enjoying the taste and warmth it brought her body.

It was unknown who she was asking, and since that was the case, James took it upon himself to answer, "The tea is absolutely wonderful, Branch Leader. It's mellow with a deep, earthy flavor. It's clear a great deal of care went into selecting and preparing it."

Yoshiko smiled. "I'm glad you enjoy it. This particular blend comes from the Rehal Mountains. The environment there is harsh and unforgiving to live in. But that is the main contributor to the leaves' flavor and aroma."

After savoring another sip, Yoshiko set her cup down gently on the table beside her.

At that moment, her demeanor changed as she turned her attention to Lucian and the rest of the group.

It was clear the pleasantries were over.

"I won't waste time with more small talk. We're all busy and have responsibilities to handle." Yoshiko sternly said before she turned and met Lucian's eyes.

"First off, allow me to properly introduce myself. I am Newt Yoshiko from Misty Sea City located deep within the Misty Sea. Chef Lucian, you have my deepest gratitude. Not only did you cook for 553 of my guests, but you also solved a problem that would have cost me my life."

As she spoke, Mei walked forward with a Spatial Ring in hand, presenting it to Lucian.

"As per the agreement, here is your share of the earnings," Yoshiko added.

Without saying any useless words, Lucian took the Spatial Ring from Mei and threw it into his Inventory. But immediately, his expression became weird upon seeing the System Notification.

<{556 Low-Grade Mana Stones —> 753 Low-Grade Mana Stones.}>

<{Congratulations, Host, for completing the Quests, Get rich quick and Buy whatever Lily wants.}>

<{You have been rewarded with the Grade 7 Phoenix Rebirth Tea Recipe.}>

'This little…' Lucian was dumbfounded as he eyed Lily, who sat beside him with her head turned away to avoid his gaze. From her body language, it was obvious she was feeling guilty.

As for the two Quest completions, he ignored them for the time being. He could always view them at a later time.

"What did you buy?" He was genuinely curious how she spent 2,015 Low-Grade Mana Stones in so little time. His first thought was that she had gone overboard at the auction, perhaps by spiking the price of an item far above its market value, much like the incident with the arrogant young man from the Wang Family.

But this time, instead of walking out victorious, she must have bitten off more than she could chew.

'No… it's clearly me who has to pay.'

Meanwhile, upon hearing his words, Lily trembled and let out an embarrassed giggle.

"Four Grade 1 Magical Beasts and… a c-coin." Lily stuttered in a voice filled with shame and embarrassment at recalling the auction. She knew how ridiculous it sounded. Grade 1 Magical Beasts were expensive, but not enough to put such a huge dent in her Big Brother Lucian's money. The coin, on the other hand, was the most expensive. It was the culprit and the cause of her shame and embarrassment.

Lucian blinked, confused by the second item. "A coin? What kind of coin did you buy?"

Yoshiko was surprised by his words. 'Why doesn't he know about the final item?'

On the side, Mei had a similarly befuddled expression on her face.

Although Yoshiko found the situation perplexing, but sensing he was not joking, she spoke, "It would be better if I explain on… her behalf."

Yoshiko then meaningfully glanced at the old-sounding woman hidden behind the mask, inwardly noting the close bond between her and Chef Lucian.

Although Yoshiko was curious about who the old woman was, since she did not sense any malicious intentions from her, she would not go out of her way to demand her to remove her mask.

Yoshiko took a moment before she continued, "The coin was the final item sold today-"

Yoshiko then went on to explain everything that she had previously told Meng Ruo to say, without missing a single word.

The information was already known to the others, but with nothing better to do, they pretended to listen to her with rapt attention.
