Primordial Draconic Incubus With A Gourmet Chef System

Chapter 211: Eternally Ruined Taste Buds

'With how handsome and talented Master is, his wife should be equally remarkable.'

Meanwhile, Lily, after calming down her rapidly beating heart, reached up to her Ethereal Mask Of Anonymity .

Duan Mu watched as she slowly removed her mask, revealing her face for the first time.

Snow white skin, large pink eyes, and a cute face framed by long pink hair.

'Cute.'

It was the only word that could describe the young girl behind the mask.

Feeling a gaze that did not belong to her Big Brother Lucian, Lily huffed.

"Don't stare at Lily."

"M-Mistress… I'm sorry." Duan Mu quickly averted his eyes, realizing how inappropriate it was to stare at his Master's wife. Even if he did not have ulterior thoughts, it was still rude.

"Make sure it doesn't happen again," Lucian said in a clearly displeased tone, with a darkened expression.

Cold sweat oozed out of Duan Mu's forehead. After gulping nervously, he gave a flattering, yet slightly apologetic smile.

"Please calm yourself, Master. I swear it won't happen ever again."

'Stupid brain. Stupid eyes.' Duan Mu scolded himself.

Lucian snorted and repeated his earlier words, "Just make sure it doesn't happen again."

Then, he said, "Finish your meal quickly."

Even though he had directed his words to Duan Mu, Lily also nodded her little head.

For a while, Lily had been looking forward to eating. Especially… after her Big Brother Lucian forgot to give her a plate of Siren's Melody Poached Egg.

Even though he had promised.

But, since he had worked so hard… she decided to forgive him… only this once.

Sometime later, like hungry wolves, Duan Mu and Lily began devouring the food.

"It's so delicious!" Duan Mu exclaimed, but his voice was muffled by the sheer amount of food stuffed into his cheeks. Sheds of lambs and pieces of vegetables could be seen lodged in between his teeth.

But he continued to ravenously shove food into his mouth.

'Can't he shout after he finishes eating?'

'It's good that my Lily knows table manners.'

With a sigh, Lucian's eyes turned to Lily, only for him to quickly take back what he said.

'Never mind.'

The little Pixie was eating and drinking with abandon. Table manners were long forgotten.

Veins bulged in her small hands, gripping the knife and fork.

Currently, she was nibbling on tender lamb meat, with puffed cheeks, like a chipmunk storing food for the winter.

Every so often, she would reach for the fruit juice, taking in big sips to wash down the large amount of food stored in her mouth.

Strangely… she still appeared cute.

This continued for quite some time, until, the distinct sound of metal colliding with ceramic resounded in the large dining room.

Followed by a satisfied burp.

Blushing slightly for his lack of decorum, Duan Mu said sheepishly, "Excuse me. I've never tasted such delicious food before."

'...' Lucian was momentarily speechless.

'He's now embarrassed?'

After devouring his meal akin to a starved wolf?

Duan Mu furrowed his brows after seeing his Master looking at him with a weird expression.

"Is something wrong Master?"

"No." Lucian shook his head, declining to explain. He then stood up and walked to the dining room's only door.

At the same time, Lily hurriedly put on the Ethereal Mask Of Anonymity.

Lifting his right hand, Lucian knocked his closed fist against the door three times.

It was the only way to contact the eagerly waiting butler outside.

No sooner had he knocked, the Runic Formation deactivated, and the door opened, revealing Carlton's figure.

"Senior, how was the feast? Was it to your satisfaction?" Carlton asked politely, despite knowing the feast would not be up to Lucian's standard and to the two others.

Anyone who had tasted Lucian's dishes would find other foods bland. Carlton had witnessed it firsthand. His Master had once taken great pride in his chefs, but now, their food was not even palatable.

Carlton even felt scared and subconsciously wanted to stay away from Lucian's dishes. Lest he became like his Master.

Lucian pointed at the dining table, "Take a look yourself, Sir Carlton."

Not expecting such a response, Carlton briefly paused, but after a moment, he craned his neck to the side to get a proper look at the table behind Lucian.

In an instant, his eyes widened.

The table, once filled with a plethora of dishes, was now a scene of utter devastation.

Empty dishes were scattered haphazardly across the wide table. Even the once overflowing fruit juice pitcher —- initially offered with no hope of anyone touching it — had been drained completely. Not even a single ice cube remained within.

Carlton's eyes then shifted to Duan Mu, who was lounging in his chair, his head resting against the top of the chair, with half-closed eyes.

On the other hand, the young girl, who always clung to Lucian, was swaying left and right in her seat. It was obvious she had enjoyed the meal.

The truth; however, was a bit different. It was true Lily ate similarly to Duan Mu, but that did not mean she enjoyed the meal as much as him. After eating her Big Brother Lucian's food, her taste buds had long since been ruined.

Now, nothing else could satisfy her.

But Lily did not complain. As long as it was palatable, food was still food.

Food was in her top five most favorite things.

"I'm relieved. Thank you, Senior." That was all Carlton said. He could have said more — something flashier. Yet, they were both experienced men. It was plain as day that Lucian had not eaten the food they provided.

But he still showed them face… even though there was no need to.

It showed Lucian had respect for them, mainly for his Master. With that being the case, it was definitely good news.

After all, his Master's objective from the beginning was to potentially recruit Lucian, but that had changed to now wanting to form a friendship.

The latter was too mysterious and powerful.
