Primordial God Of Time

Chapter 56: Departing... Mountain Range?

At this moment, Kranos's voice thundered behind them, giving them a fright. With a rapid movement of his sword, two of them were knocked out. Kranos immediately accelerated his attack towards the blade cultivator…

The blade cultivator was stunned and couldn't react in time. She could only hastily raise her sword to block Kranos's attack. However, the next moment she felt her consciousness blur, and she too was knocked out. Kranos then turned to the last remaining cultivator, the earth elemental cultivator, who was staring at him in horror.

"Should I knock you out, or will you do so yourself?" he asked calmly.

The earth elemental cultivator immediately knew there was no chance of him winning. When it was him and the others, they couldn't even defeat him, not to talk of now that he was alone. Although they had expected Kranos to be strong and even employed all their trump cards, they didn't expect him to be this strong!

Without a second thought, the cultivator knocked himself out with a blow to the head. Kranos nodded in satisfaction, after which he strolled out of the courtyard. Over the past six months, he felt he had trained them enough; his sword techniques were also now at the profound level.

As he walked, he encountered a couple of cultivators, but he didn't pay them any mind. He knew that in two months, he would ascend back to the Immortal World. In this short span of time he had, he wanted to discover the whereabouts of that Gu creature. He felt that the creature truly wasn't dead and was hiding somewhere around.

He wasn't acting out of impulsiveness, as Kranos just wanted to find the whereabouts of the creature. On the last day, when he would be teleported out, he would see how strong he was compared to the creature. Where should I look at first? Kranos pondered inwardly as he left the premises of the academy. He wasn't going to return back to the outskirts of the city.

He pondered for a bit and then decided to head in the direction of that ruined city. From there, he would begin his search. Since the creature could previously send someone to invite him to join their ranks, Kranos felt that the creature must stay somewhere close by.

With his cultivation at the fifth stage Golden Core realm, Kranos's speed had increased to a large extent, and he could now traverse a few thousand meters with a single step. Aside from that, he had the space element. By using these two, his speed immediately achieved a new height.

He rushed towards the ruined city at full speed. Those in the safe haven only felt a gust of wind pass by them, and before they could react, the wind was gone. In the blink of an eye, Kranos was already at the barrier. After executing the secret technique to open the barrier, which the city lord had taught him, he walked out of the safe haven. He was finally back into the chaotic outside world.

But what met Kranos's gaze was a clear world? The impurities in the world had seemingly been cleared to a great extent. Although the sky was still purple, it was no longer as dark as before. The purple sun was also shining on the horizon. The air smelled slightly fresh, even though it couldn't be compared to the safe haven. He also noticed some young plants beginning to sprout.

Kranos was amazed at everything. It seemed the Gu worm really lost a lot of energy due to being 'killed' by Ming and the others. He continued on his way; his speed increased once again. Along the way, he also noticed that most of the animals and trees were no longer corrupted. Soon after more than ten hours had passed, Kranos finally arrived at the abandoned ruin.

He walked inside. The familiar destroyed buildings, mana devices, and so on entered his line of sight. He went to the previous building and noticed that the skeleton was still there. He also visited other buildings that had skeletons and noticed that there were skeletons there.

After going through the city, Kranos finally came to a pause. He pondered on which direction to head to, and after a brief hesitation, he decided to head in the direction the black-clothed figure from before came from. After recalling where they camped that night, Kranos was able to roughly discern the direction.

He immediately rushed there. Time passed and Kranos took a moment to rest. He could feel his stamina draining and his mana slowly drying up. He immediately looked for a spot to rest. After killing a beast, he prepared something to eat for the night. Even though as a cultivator he didn't need much food anymore, he still felt like retaining traits from his previous world.

Soon the night passed uneventfully as Kranos spent his time cultivating. As soon as the purple sun rose from the horizon, he immediately continued on his way. Like this, time passed and Kranos didn't know how long he had been racing forward. He felt he had faintly circled the direction he wanted to go previously. There was only a certain mountain range which Kranos hadn't yet checked.

After confirming that the creature wasn't in the directions he guessed, Kranos decided to check the mountain range. But just as he was heading to the mountain range, Kranos immediately heard some voices. He was surprised for a moment. He didn't expect there to still be cultivators who dared to venture out this far, or… could they have been living here?

With this thought, Kranos immediately hid and slowly approached. He didn't want to reveal his identity, after all, he didn't know if they were friends or foe. However, the next moment he was stunned—he saw a familiar face!

It was Ko! Kranos was stunned for a moment before he immediately realized that this was probably where the monster was hiding. He also noticed more than ten other cultivators around. He noticed that aside from Ko, whose face was exposed, the others were clothed in black clothes and were masked.

Noticing this, an idea began to form in Kranos's mind, but he decided to study them first before acting.
