Chapter 71: 70. Initiation 2/2

Chapter 70

- Um, is that all? - I asked, looking at the circle with surprise, consisting of unknown runes, for the drawing of which only chalk, previously filled with my anemo energy, was used. It seemed so simple that it was just funny.

- Yes. The essence of this circle is to first absorb the energy that was put in, then make it more neutral and nourish the soul and body of the person inside the circle. - Takashi explained.

- But isn't it too simple? You know, in my world, not everyone can receive the eye of God as a gift from the deities, and it's mostly related to overcoming oneself and the like. But here, an ordinary magic circle is enough to achieve more. - It's scary to imagine how much stronger Mondstadt will become if the faithful knights who do not have the eye of God receive such a boost, or those who already have the eye of God receive a bonus element. And it's scary to imagine how crazy the Fatui will go from such a thing.

- THIS. - the guy emphasized, simultaneously double-checking whether everything was done correctly. - NOT easy. Finding enough energy for the initiation to be successful in this way is extremely difficult.

- Well, maybe so. - I couldn't find anything to say in response, although I still don't know how much energy this would require.

- Okay, everything should be correct. - Takashi nodded in satisfaction and stood in the center of the circle, then pointed at one of the runes. - Start feeding this rune with energy and try to pour in as much as possible for at least 20 seconds.

- Listen... Are you sure you haven't made a mistake with the required amount of energy? - I had good reason to doubt. After all, I can give out about 5 of my reserves in a second, and he wants me to do it for 20. I hope there won't be an explosion for the next few kilometers in case of failure.

- Yes, I'm sure. - Takashi didn't doubt his decision.

- As you say. - I said shaking my head and kneeling down, I placed my palm on the "gebo" rune, which, as Takashi explained, in this magic circle means energy brought as a gift. And, as was said, I began to pour in energy without sparing my strength.

In an instant, all the runes began to glow turquoise. It even seemed to me for a moment that Takashi wanted to say something, but at that very moment his body literally arched and began to hover a few centimeters above the ground. If his wheezing indicated anything, it was at least pain. However, he warned that it would not be easy, so I continued, without reducing the pressure, while carefully watching how all the processes were happening.

At first it seemed to me that everything was going as it should, only to be surprised at how much energy was required. However, I thought so until 10 seconds later a crack appeared on Takashi's face, from which turquoise light poured out instead of blood, which immediately caused a worried cry from Kyoko, who, together with Saeko, was tensely watching the initiation.

Naturally, I immediately stopped the energy infusion. But the process didn't stop because of that, I clearly saw that the magic circle was transmitting energy with a strong delay and about 30% reached Takashi.

"Something needs to be done," Saeko said, clearly worried, as another crack appeared on the boy's face.

- It is necessary, but if you don't let all this energy go somewhere, there will be a very big BOOM, and I'm not sure that I can protect you from that. - I said, thinking hard. Unfortunately, the downside of the infinity barrier is that it mainly affects only the user, and my Geo shields will not withstand the explosion of all the accumulated anemo energy.

"What if we replace it?" Saeko asked.

"It should work," I nodded. "But are you sure?"

- Yes! - the girl answered decisively.

Without delaying, I, having received an answer from Saeko, immediately teleported with her inside the circle.

At that very moment, I felt how Anemo energy began to penetrate me, however, due to the fact that the distribution went to three, it was not so painful that I froze, so I immediately grabbed the guy who had already received a third crack, this time on his neck, teleported with him outside the circle, and immediately the room was filled with Saeko's pain-filled groan.

- Takashi clearly made a big mistake in his calculations, - I said sullenly, looking at the clearly suffering girl.

- Kyoko-san, have you changed your mind about undergoing initiation yet? - I turned to the teacher.

"N-no," the girl answered, clearly uncertain.

- Good. - Having grabbed the woman, I moved inside the circle with her and this time did not leave it. I stayed with them to take some of the load on myself.

I must admit, the feeling was not pleasant. The energy literally burst into my body, as if reforging bones and muscles. Yes, perhaps, albeit partially, but it made me remember my training with Gojo-sensei, who could unceremoniously tear off an arm or punch a hole in the stomach, knowing that I would still be able to heal in literally seconds.

And I don't want to know how much pain Saeko was in before Kyoko and I took some of the energy onslaught on ourselves. After all, even with the flow reduced threefold, the teacher was literally screaming in pain. However, it soon ended. The magic circle went out, and the two exhausted girls fell into my arms.

- Haaah. - I sighed heavily and looked towards Takashi, the cracks on his face looked like black tattoos, slightly reminiscent of forked lightning.

"I'll give you such a fucking beating in the morning that you won't know what the hell you're talking about," I said irritably, already regretting that I agreed to all this.

I felt extremely tired, but I still managed to find enough strength to drag two girls on my back and walk to the sofa and collapse on it.

"I hope I did everything right," I muttered before falling asleep, hugging two beauties.
