Chapter 510: Becker again
Stay updated via empire
If someone from today's world had to say which is the most powerful Vampire Kingdom, they would have to hesitate to answer.
In times past, the Dark Kingdom was always the spearhead among the kingdoms, the most powerful of all, and the central political representative before the Vampiric Clans. But nowadays, it is not.
They lost many important people, and their king was no longer the most powerful. The Dark Castle is no longer the most powerful Castle of the Five; now, the most powerful is Richter's Castle.
The Castle is in the iciest area within the vampire territory. It also stands above all the current political powers and carries tremendous weight.
At this moment, an important meeting is taking place there.
"Lord Becker, Young Master Becker, your presence in our Kingdom is an important event. Apologies for not preparing a proper welcome for you." The King of Richter is also the most powerful King today, but even he must be careful when facing the Vampiric Clans.
Even more so when the very Leaders of one of those great clans come in person.
Lord Becker smiled at him in greeting.
"I hear Matthew Dietrich and the Allens have messed with your little city to the west of the Dark Kingdom." He said suddenly, getting straight to the point.
King Richter was surprised but nodded.
"They are sticking their noses in and did it when the city was unprotected. The Wagner Clan, who has a large stake in the city, couldn't do anything this time either, and we ended up losing several important businessmen who have moved their businesses."
"What employers? Just from the Allens?"
"No, Lord. Some are key to different businesses that are planning to move. Even the Blacksmith Leader seems to be gaining a bad reputation lately, as it is said that he tried to suppress and kill a Blacksmith who was able to make a saint weapon. That's all the work of the Allens and that of Matthew Dietrich. I fail to understand how he has so many hands, but the losses could be catastrophic if it all keeps up. Not to mention the problems they caused in Clan City; it's catastrophic all this; I don't know what they're planning."
Lord Becker nodded a little at this.
He already knew all that, but he wanted to remind this King of it so that his plan would take effect perfectly.
"I understand. It's problematic, but don't worry, we can recover everything lost. The problem now is that those guys have total control of the Kingdom. With the fall of the City of Clans, the whole Vampiric world has become alarmed. For my part, I've already been talking to the other Vampire Clans, and most of us agree that Allen's moves are too much. What do you think about it?"
"With the fall of that very important City, not only the economy will be affected. A great change in regional politics will occur, and the civilian population may be affected in every possible way. Also, we have maintained acceptable wars with the Humans and the Devourers due to the Vampiric Clans not getting into trouble. However, I don't think both races will sit still now that a Vampiric Clan is directly knocking on their doors."
"Possibly, a vicious war could break out between the races. That seen from the point of view of border politics." At the culmination, he closed his mouth and waited patiently for Lord Becker's reply.
"If that is the political point of view, what is your point of view as one of the most powerful of our race and a pillar in our faction?" Lord Becker asked.
King Richter smiled a little at that question.
"They have meddled with our plans and taken over such an important City; I don't think this is the time for us to stand idly by."
Lord Becker smiled once more.
"I like that answer better."
"If you came here, it means you have a new mission for me."
"We'll use West Commercial City as a cover to try to make Matthew's life miserable. At the same time, call 'those guys' and hire them for his assassination. We will use the Second Heir of the Wagners and my son in this. The Becker Clan cannot allow plans to be spoiled by a small fry that is barely growing."
King Richter's eyes widened in surprise. "You want to use those guys right now? I think my men are enough for now."
Lord Becker shook his head. "No, your men will be needed for something else in the future. For now, just use those guys and make sure you succeed. My son is the one who will be in charge of delivering the final blow. We have a great ally who will reveal later, so don't worry—we will succeed this time."
King Richter looked again at the other person in the room. He was Dean Becker, the Chief Young Master of the Becker Clan. Dean Becker is the Chief Heir of that Clan, and his power is astounding.
'Combat power is fine, but Becker's tactics almost always tend to fail... They are not very good at the strategic level...' Garan Richter smiled at this thought.
That wasn't bad. With Becker's reputation and even more so because they are up against a person who seems to be as good at strategies as Matthew, their tactics may fail, so he can do a couple of things to push them to fail. So, his merit will be more outstanding then.
Garan Richter didn't show any of his thoughts on his face; on the contrary, he acted submissive to these two guys.
"That being the case, we will do as you say, Lord Becker." He said, nodding to the Young Master.
"Young Lord Becker, I hope we can be a good team from now on."
They both smiled and nodded at him.
"Good. Then let's move as soon as possible. Matthew Dietrich is a young man who grows up too fast. If need be, even I will jump in to give him the final blow, so let's make this a success." After saying this, Lord Becker took out some wine and poured it for himself and his son.
He then passed it to Garan Richter, who helped himself, and the three toasted to a glorious future for each of them.
