Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 534 A New Weapon

534  A New Weapon

The next morning, Matthew woke up first. Emma Lewis was peacefully resting on his arm, although she looked a little sweaty.

They had been 'working out' for practically the entire night, so it was normal for her to be so exhausted.

Matthew smiled a little at seeing her like this and gently kissed her. He left the room, got ready, and made breakfast. After leaving her some near the bed with a little note, he left.

He needed to do a lot of things; the work was increasing. Not only did he have to train himself, but he also had to teach other people. He managed the territory, dealing with the mafias and businessmen. At the same time, he occasionally looked at the Allen Clan, which still seemed to be expanding.

All in all, the problems were only getting bigger and bigger. There were more and more things he needed to pay attention to.

'There is time for everything, let's be patient.' He thought and tried to calm down so as not to stress himself.

He went to a training room that was far away from there so as not to be disturbed and started training on his own.

His training was the most complicated because he needed to deepen his understanding of control, especially at the first level.

The first thing he did when he got here was activate his Dominion to allow himself to use a power he didn't have right now: the God Controller.

This time, he didn't want to understand that level in depth; he simply wanted to see the First Level of Control from a higher position, having the power of a God Controller. Maybe that would give him good gains.

From the time he learned about the Path of Control until now, his understanding has been advancing, and although he could try to achieve the Controlling God right now, he knew it was not wise. He needed to deepen his understanding of the Early Understanding if he wanted to do things as they should be.

Right now, he knows that it is not only what is attainable by his physical body, the limit of Early Understanding, but that it is, in essence, the Controlling Power within. He has completed the base and the main essence of Early Understanding, but he has not completed the depth of it, so he did not want to try to advance the level.

'Based on what I know, the background of the First Level is to get the inner power always in constant motion within the body so that it can slowly strengthen the body. It's a progressive and limitless physical improvement, so it's fundamental.' He thought.

Doing so was not easy. He needed to control the power to make it move, so he would practically need to create either a mechanism to make it automated or muscle memory. The latter was the only feasible one, and building muscle memory was a slow process, even more so because he needed to do it without the power leaving his body.

The difficulty increased with each step, but Matthew was pleased with his progress, so he focused on training hard and trying to do it all day today.

From morning to afternoon and afternoon to evening. Soon, the early morning fell, and he finally stopped training.

'It's pretty complicated, but I think I have the essence.' He thought.

But there wasn't much time to train these days; right after showering and getting ready, he went to Paul Cox's place.

"Young Master, what brings you here?" asked Paul, after greeting him.

"I come to help you. Let me see what you are doing and talk about what I want you to do. I've had some good material come in lately."

Paul Cox directed him to where they were working. There were several blacksmiths, some brought in by Paul himself and others trained by him. They were trustworthy and respected Matthew, so they greeted him with a big hello until Paul dismissed them.

"Young Master, we are focused on creating these things right now. It's really not that hard; it's just that we're trying to make it so it can be mass-produced. That requires less expensive and more readily available minerals, so it's complicated. Still, for now, the blueprint you gave us already has several specimens."

After this, Paul Cox showed what he was talking about.

Matthew nodded, his red eyes twinkling a little. "Wow, that's incredible." He smiled.

Considering that Paul Cox is not a blacksmith specializing in creating magical artifacts, the fact that he could make one so quickly left a good taste in his mouth and told him that the future was bright.

He had created just the Magical Artifact that Matt and Mia invented in the Empire. That artifact served many good functions concerning the mana movement.

If he could give it a greater utility, turning it into an object capable of mass production for his subordinates and at the same time teach them how to use curses, they would become a force to be feared in this world, of which he was sure. Not only would they gain power under intensive training thanks to him being able to turn them into highly talented vampires, but they would also have mana for greater diversity in the type of power they used.

And if that weren't enough, they would have the Curses. He, his father, and his Clan invented those things to make up for the lack of diversity in the race when they lost immortality.

'They would become amazingly powerful, but if I add that I now have the blueprints for those powerful weapons, maybe I can mix that Magic Artifact with these guns and create a more powerful one.' He smiled.

That's just what he came for today.

"That's amazing, Mr. Paul. But, this time, I came here because I have a proposal to make our creations more amazing. Let's talk; there's a lot to talk about." Matthew showed him what he was talking about.

The blueprints amazed Paul, though he couldn't visualize that artifact, so he directed Matthew to his office.

"These things are guns; you should know about them. But they are more powerful. They contain extremely compressed magic inside, and when they are fired, what comes out is magic. Sound familiar?"

Paul Cox grabbed the blueprint and stared at it for a moment. Matthew also pulled out a copy, so his gaze was sandwiched between the blueprint and the creation.

"I think... These weapons were used in the underworld." He said suddenly, as he remembered a few things.

Matthew smiled. "Indeed, they are used there. Have you ever seen their power? They are the most powerful magical weapons I've ever seen and don't rely on mana. They have special bullets that compress the magics and then just fire them." He pulled out one of the bullets and showed it.

"The problem you've probably already seen. These bullets use materials that are too expensive and not cost-effective enough to mass produce. That's why I was thinking, what about putting together the Magic Artifact from before with this weapon? Our Magic Artifact can hold huge amounts of mana and still does the function of a body, so there's always a mana supply."

"And this weapon has the firepower. The firepower here doesn't depend on the bullet; it's merely the weapon's construction, so if we make the Magic Artifact contain the mana and create the magic with it but fire it with this weapon, the power would be amazing and make it more cost-effective. The only problem is that we need a way to compress the magic created. Otherwise, it would damage the weapon."

Paul Cox just listened patiently as he imagined a type of weapon. It was hard for him to imagine what it would look like, but he could understand perfectly what Matthew was talking about.
