Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 316: The Masochist Returns

<A Chosen One is nearby!>

No shit. Rael rolled his eyes, staring at the colorful door in front of him.

Yet that wasn't even what actually surprised him. Instead, it was the thundering music that was literally shaking the entire building, and it was coming from none other than the room ahead of them.

"I thought electricity and all the other stuff stopped working...?" Jane mumbled.

"You and me both," Julian chimed in. "I remember trying all sorts of methods to get it working again, but not once was I successful. You can create sparks and all that stuff, but nothing comes from those sparks, you know?"

"Nope, I have no idea what you're saying," Rael replied with a hum. "Anyways, the door's unlocked, let's just go inside."

"Wait." Jane raised a hand. "Do you really want to risk entering a woman's house when she might be naked?"

"Yes."

Without a moment of hesitation, Rael swung the door open, and to his surprise, he saw Maria sleeping soundly on the sofa with a massive speaker beside her.

It was the same speaker that had been playing all this loud music, and upon closer look, Rael realized that it wasn't a normal speaker at all.

In fact, it had a wire at its back, and it was connected to some kind of magic staff.

It looked pretty ordinary, but if Rael had to guess, the staff was acting like some sort of electricity source, or maybe it was just a special item.

But he didn't bother much with it as he stepped forward and pinched Maria's nose.

After a few moments, her face turned red as her eyes shot open.

She was both startled and angered, but once she realized who it was, a smirk appeared on her face.

"My my... to what do I owe this pleasurable visit?" Maria asked, her smirk widening. "Have you come to riddle me in holes like last time~?"

"What...?" Jane muttered. "You did what?"

"It's a manner of speech," Rael brushed it off. "I stabbed her."

"Huh... I guess that's one way of flirting," Julian mused, shooting Maria a glance. "Looks like it's working too. Noted."

Rael rolled his eyes at their behavior and turned back to Maria.

"I've come here for the arena. Do you have any more information? I need it."

"Advance payment," Maria replied as she turned her body around, revealing a partially naked back. "Stab right down the middle, okay?"

"As much as I'd like to indulge in your masochistic fantasies, I might really kill you this time. I've leveled up a lot, so unless you have around 7 or 8 thousand HP, I wouldn't attempt it," Rael said flatly.

"HP? You mean that big number? Mine's at 58,550 right now. Just do it already," Maria replied, kicking her feet up in anticipation.

58,550? Seriously?

Jane let out a sigh. "This is so wrong. You sure there isn't some better way... or someone else we can ask instead of this woman?"

Rael shrugged and pulled out his glowing blue sword, embedding it straight into her back, narrowly missing her spine.

-4,422!

"Aah~" Maria clutched the sheets. "Once more... come on!"

Rael's brows twitched.

Fucking hell...

.

.

.

A few minutes had passed and now, Maria was lying on her blood-soaked bed, her expression... expressive.

Rael wiped the blood off his sword on her sofa, sheathed it, and sat beside her.

"Willing to talk now?" Rael said and gestured for Julian to heal her.

Julian's eyes were still wide, almost as if he was in shock, yet he still approached her and healed her.

Within moments, her complexion returned to normal as she sat up and glanced at Rael.

"That arena... I don't really have much new information," she said sheepishly.

Rael facepalmed. "So you made me go through all that for nothing?"

"I was the one who went through it," Maria replied with a pout. "But hey, I said I didn't have much, that doesn't mean I don't have anything."

She cleared her throat.

"Basically, we got another update on the scenario a week ago. We were assigned our teams. I got some woman called Alisa Yuu, and a dude who goes by the name Rain," Maria explained as she tried to lean in closer to Rael, but with a simple palm, he pushed her back.

Her pout grew, but she still continued.

"There was a pair of coordinates... I guess a place to meet up. It's supposed to happen today, but I'm not going. No way am I trusting those people," Maria added with a sigh. "That's about the extent of the news."

She leaned in slightly, a cheeky grin appearing on her face. "So? Can I get a reward—"

"Nope," Rael shot her down. "You've already gotten plenty. Just give us the coordinates, we'll meet them in your stead."

"Huh? Wait, you're really planning on going?" Maria asked, puzzled. "You do know it's probably a trap, right? I mean... those people probably won't go either since they're going to be wary of each other."

"That's fine, I just want to see where it is," Rael replied.

She looked him up and down before slightly grumbling.

"Gosh... you're foolish. But since you're going, then I guess I have to go as well," Maria announced as she stood up and walked toward another room. "I'll put on a new pair of clothes since you dirtied my previous pair. I'll leave my door open, but don't peek, okay?"

Rael rolled his eyes.

This woman is too big of a pervert.

"Do you really think we can trust her?" Jane asked, unconvinced. "She seems like someone who'd stab you in the back for pleasure... or fall onto your sword in the middle of battle."

"I think so too," Julian said with a chuckle. "Though it's a wonder. I never knew these types of women exist, I should've really broadened my scope earlier—"

His words were interrupted by a bonk over the head by none other than Jane.

"Don't get any funny ideas," she said coldly.

Julian rubbed his head with a frown before turning away.

As for Rael, he patiently sat on the couch, waiting for Maria to finish changing.
