RE: Perverted Sugar Daddy System

Chapter 179: Unexpected Guest

With rapt attention, I listened to the female reporter on the TV, an unhappy Ava once more joining me and when the news was concluded several minutes later, I let out a sigh.

"This is troublesome."

Using Echo, I pulled on Ava's arm and began leading us out of the station, my hand grasping Ava's.

"If you didn't kill him, why are you worried," she muttered.

"Have you forgotten that my documents were stolen"

"Oh" Ava said and then she burst into a subdued chuckle.

"What's funny," I asked as we began ascending a flight of stairs.

"Nothing, it's just that at some point I was beginning to doubt if your documents had truly been stolen but now seeing you this frustrated, it's hilarious to imagine that with a dark and deadly aura, you were robbed most likely by some wet behind-the-ear teenager.

"There is definitely a screw loose in her head," I thought glancing at the woman, letting her have her fun.

It took us more than a minute but eventually, we walked out of the train station and into the night outside, the street filled with different sorts of light but not as bustling as central London.

"So, what now," Ava said looking up at me.

"Maybe I'll dispose of you."

"And how will you deal with my body, I imagine in such tense times, the news of a dead body will be cause for the arrival of the police in all its capabilities in Shrewsbury"

"There are ways to dispose of a body."

"Really, tell me."

"Do you ever stop fishing for information?"

"I'm a reporter, it's what I live for."

"We'll go to your place."

"What makes you think I have a place," Ava smirked.

"It's either that or we go to a hotel"

Ava snorted at the option I had given her and made a decision, one I very much preferred.

"Unless you have money, I'll need to withdraw some cash to pay for our cab."

"I have money"

"Also I planned to stop by the store and get some items to cook this evening.."

"We'll order" I cut her off and with a shrug the woman moved towards the road.

Ava's place wasn't too far from Shrewsbury station, and when the cab brought us to one of the tall buildings in the town, I took note of the plain old architect of the buildings in the area.

Behind Ava I followed her into one of these buildings, climbing several flights of stairs as we headed for her apartment.

Till we reached the door it was completely silent between us and then there at the door Ava found herself unable to open it.

"Are you sure this is your door?" I said from beside the woman looking up at the number on the door.

"Room 23"

"Yeah it is, it's been a month since I was last here, something in there is probably rusted." She said as she struggled to turn the key.

Ava was particularly calm about the situation giving me no indication that she had a hand in this coincidence, but then we both heard a sound from behind the door just as she finished talking.

"Or maybe there is a burglar in your house."

Ava's face twisted in a frown and while the woman raised her fist as the locks of the door were being turned within, I stood to the side, a grin threatening to break out of my lips because unlike Ava, I saw everything.

"Ava!!" the call came out as the door was opened and it was quite amusing to watch the strong image Ava had maintained throughout our encounter collapse as she laid eyes on one of the last person she would want to come in contact with at the moment.

"Mom."

Ava's mom had on a bright smile as she laid her eyes on us, but when she saw her daughter, a horrified expression on her face, she immediately became worried.

"Honey are you okay." She said and I beside Ava grabbed her arm and turned her to me.

"Sweety, are you alright"

Looking into Ava's eyes, I saw them contain a silent plea and smiling at her, I leaned forward and placed a peck on her lips.

"Don't worry, everything will be alright"

I pulled Ava whose body was frozen into a hug and before I looked up at her mother, who I knew was stunned by our interaction, I made some quick purchases, grinning as I bought a technique which I believed would be best for this situation.

Thankfully, I didn't need to give names, just directives from my mind were okay.

[Target Nina Howard, Acquired.]

With a smile, I watched as Nina's attention moved from her daughter to me, my aura grabbing all of her attention and when I smiled, her eyes lit up a bit.

"Mrs Howard, I'm Mike Brandon, Ava's boyfriend."

I stretched out my hand.

"Mike, my daughter didn't tell me she had a boyfriend, a foreigner at that" the woman smiled.

We both held each other's hand, our eyes becoming locked and it was Ava who brought us back to earth.

'Mom" the woman called pushing away from me, confusion on her face at our quick bonding.

Nina's eyes moved from mine and then she focused on her daughter.

"Seriously honey why would you hide the fact that you have such a sweet man to take care of you.

You know how worried I've been about you finding someone."

Ava was completely stumped by her mother's words confused on whether to be embarrassed at the implication of her mother's words or worried that she had brought a dangerous man to her family.

"Mom, what are you doing here." Ava finally let out.

"I called your office this morning and they told me that you heading here for a break.

It's been over three months since we last saw honey, so I thought I'd come here and surprise you, spend the week with you and catch up.

I didn't think you'd be bringing over the father of my grandkids"

Looking at Ava, I was sure her face would be beat red right now if she wasn't worried for her mother's safety.

"Here honey, come in," Nina said, her words surprisingly not meant for Ava, but for me.

Holding me by the arm, Nina pulled me into the house, Ava following behind and it was only after she had led me to the dining table where a tantalizing aroma had saturated the air that she turned to Ava.

"Honey, what was that outside there, why did you look like you saw a ghost."

"Oh, it's nothing mom," Ava said glancing at me.
