Reborn As A Phoenix With Beast Taming System

Although the Alpha she-wolf was vehemently refusing to be healed, Ash opted to shove a bundle of [Heaven's Courtyard Green Weed] into the wolf's mouth. The wolf's pale and almost soulless face soon brightened up by the time her vitality gradually returned on each bite.

"Is this… Immortal Herb?"

"Yep." Ash replied. "Each blade of this grass will recover your Qi by 100 strands. I have put at least one hundred blades of grass into your mouth. You should feel better by morning."

"Amazing! I have never thought that there's a species of Immortal Herb in this region! Where did you find it?"

"I don't. I planted them myself. Thanks to this grass, now I have pasture land that is filled with thousands of Three Horned Cattles. Seems like the grass had propagated the cows to reproduce more." Ash explained briefly. 

"Man, if only I had the dextrous hands of a human, I'd be milking the cows for days and nights now." Ash said, further instigating her interests to side with him.

"Milk?" The Alpha she-wolf's ears flicked, her tail rose high above her due to the excitement. "Is it possible to feed my puppies with their milk? I strongly believe it'll boost their growth significantly."

"Only one way to find out." Ash used this moment to pull out the arrows from her ankle, when she lowered her guard. Though he was unsure whether his healing method would work or not, he used the sterilized, and very flexible tree roots to bandage the wounds.

"Ouch!"

"Sorry. It work best when you didn't anticipate the pain."

Lucky for her, Ash inflicted the wounds with surgical precision so they were only stuck on the flesh and were not injuring the Achilles tendons. With her innate regenerative ability as an Immortal Beast, Ash believed that the wounds would heal in a matter of days.

The atmosphere within the den was now much more peaceful than before. Surprisingly, the young wolves were somewhat relieved that their tyrant Alpha Male had died. As an apology for causing rufus in their den, Ash took out the meat that he stored inside his Storage Ring and gave it to them. This was also his plan to show them that he was serious about his proposal.

Better yet, Shanguang couldn't stop her curiosity, sniffing every puppy and inviting them to play as to bridge the bond between them and her Master.

The Alpha she-wolf found it very strange for carnivorous Immortal Beasts to share their food.

"Why with the sudden change? Weren't you guys wanting to eliminate any competition to control this region?" Asked the Alpha she-wolf, licking the bandaged ankles alternately.

Ash wrapped the porous leaves that he used to wipe the blood to the side. And thus he said. "True, indeed. But again, it doesn't necessarily mean that I want to kill every powerful beast that I cross with. However, Immortal Beasts tend to be very aggressive, arrogant, and wouldn't listen to anyone. Shanguang perked her head, joining the convo. "Except for that jerk! Your Alpha Male deserves it! He didn't even have the right to be your Alpha Male in the beginning. Wonder, why would you let him have his way with you? Lady Wolf?"

"I couldn't agree more. But again, who or what can I blame? Abysmal Wolf is a rare species in this region, searching for a mate was like finding a needle amidst the ocean. Alas, I can't fight my primal instinct to mate and reproduce. Otherwise, I'd succumb to QI Deviation Sickness if I'm unable to release the build up energy in my Beast Core. "Name's Shanguang!" The young Ligress stood proudly on all four. "Also, why the hell would I need an Alpha Male when I already have Master Huô by my side. I'll be his bride when I matured enough, isn't that right, Master?"

Ash didn't expect such words would come out from her mind. He smiled wryly inside.

"Err… let's put that aside for now. More importantly, what would be your answer to my proposal, Lady Wolf?"

"Please, you may call me Yue Yin." She sat on her hind legs, looking at him intimately.

"Yue Yin?" Ash tilted his head, a tad confused, the meaning of her name was "silver moon" or something that shines amidst the darkness. "But your fur is…"

"It's just one of many abilities that I possess."

"You'll understand once I'm fully recovered. For now, let me think about it thoroughly before I give you my answer."

"Fair enough. I will also need time to prepare the dowries as well. In the meantime, would you tell me about the Circle of Samsara?" Ash moved to her side, tucked his legs underneath his belly.

Yue Yin was intrigued with the phoenix's personality that made her feel safe and comfortable beside him. Unlike her previous mate that only doctrinated fear and absolute dominance to her mind, she didn't feel any malice within his previous action.

"Before I answer your question. May I ask, how old are you, Lord Phoenix?"

"Lord Phoenix?" Ash turned his head to the side, looking at her eyes intimately.

"You bested me in a battle, so it's my obligation to call you My Lord, no? Or perhaps, m'lord, instead?"

"Drop the lord, please. You may call me Huô. Or maybe Xiao Huô. My mentor used to call me that way."

"Xiao Huô. That's very cute…" Yue Yin chuckled impishly. After a brief pause, she looked at the full moon sky. "Circle of Samsara is the divine cycle of life which dictates our role in this universe. For example, I was born as an ordinary wolf. But somehow, I began to remember my previous life and the lives before that. I kept reincarnating until I attained this final form of mine. If I ought to die beneath your talons, this life might be my last one, and I have no shame nor regret."

"Around 2,000 years, in this timeline alone."
