Reborn in Type-Moon, My Sister is Aoko Aozaki

Chapter 29: Volume 1: Chapter 29 - 029: I Am Also Your Elder Sister

Aozaki Rin smiled faintly, hearing the joyous laughter and clinking of goblets from the castle's dining hall. He walked alone towards the room assigned to him. As for his adopted sister, Artoria, due to the victory of this first battle, and for the sake of future preparations, she had already thrown herself back into writing letters to persuade other lords after a brief celebration with her soldiers.

Meanwhile, his adopted brother, Kay, and Gawain, who had recently joined the army, were still celebrating and drinking with the soldiers. After all, despite the victory, the war had accumulated no small amount of stress for everyone involved.

The reason Rin didn't continue at the banquet wasn't because he disliked such lively scenes. He had stayed up late on watch the previous night, and combined with today's fighting, he wanted to conserve his energy, so he left early. However, what puzzled Rin was that Merlin had disappeared with Fou. Yet, it was unlikely they had left this newly reclaimed territory, so he stopped worrying about it. Strictly speaking, he wasn't Fou's master; he was just temporarily looking after the creature. If Fou wanted to leave, he wouldn't restrain them.

Rin slowly felt his way to his temporary room. The moment he pushed the door open, he heard faint breathing from within, instinctively reaching for Durandal at his waist. But he immediately stopped, his unfocused eyes "looking" in the direction of the breathing, and spoke with some uncertainty.

"Sister?"

"Mm, it's me, En."

The familiar voice made Rin sigh in relief, though he was still somewhat puzzled. "Isn't Sister still dealing with official business? Are things over there already finished?"

Sitting by the bedside, Artoria smiled. Unlike during the day, she wasn't wearing her gleaming silver dress armor but a deep blue formal dress, her holy green eyes carrying a subtle, hidden tenderness.

"Did Sister come to see me for something?"

Feeling that Artoria seemed a bit strange tonight, Rin eventually just asked directly. "Is there something wrong with me coming to see my brother even if there's nothing specific?"

The girl asked back, sounding slightly wronged and dissatisfied, which made the boy pause before shaking his head and quickly saying, "That's not what I meant..."

"Alright, I was just joking. There is indeed something I want to discuss with you, En."

"What is it?"

"...Come sit down first."

Artoria patted the bed, signaling the boy to sit beside her. Rin didn't hesitate, walking over and sitting on the bed. But no sooner had his body touched the edge of the bed than the girl beside him gently pressed him down onto it, holding him tightly.

"Sister?"

Rin blinked, not understanding what the girl was doing. Artoria merely chuckled a few times, saying affectionately, "Nothing, I just suddenly felt like sleeping while holding En tonight."

"...But, didn't you say there was something to discuss?"

"Oh, that? It's not anything particularly important... I just want En to accompany me to Orkney County tomorrow."

Artoria said indifferently, looking down at the boy in her arms. She seemed somewhat surprised by the feeling and warmth of holding him, her lips unconsciously curving into a faint, satisfied smile.

"Orkney County?"

"That's right. There's something I want to investigate, and it's not convenient to handle alone, so I want you to come with me."

"What about the army's affairs?"

"Merlin that scound... that fellow will handle it fine. We don't need to worry so much about that."

"I see, I understand..."

Rin nodded knowingly, then looked up at the girl and said earnestly, "Is this your true intention?"

—?!

The smile that had been on the girl's face froze instantly. She felt the cold, hard metal pressing against her lower abdomen. A few seconds later, she sighed helplessly.

"...I thought I acted quite well. Where did I give myself away?"

"It was indeed difficult to distinguish, and it's somewhat different from Merlin's illusions. But..." Rin replied matter-of-factly, holding the broken sword. "If Sister wanted to hold me while sleeping, she wouldn't be so direct; she would always use some strange excuse first."

Completely taken aback that this was where she had slipped up, the girl paused, then pouted unhappily. "What a coward..."

"So, who are you?" Rin asked with increased intensity, his young voice gaining a hint of authority.

He was still somewhat confused. If the person in front of him were an assassin, their target should be his adopted sister, Artoria, so why would they target him? He didn't believe that someone would send an assassin for him just because his swordsmanship was exceptional. Moreover, the other party's goal didn't seem to be to assassinate him, but rather to make him go to Orkney County.

But the girl wasn't flustered by the boy's question; she merely chuckled a few times. Compared to the clear, girlish voice from earlier, her voice now carried a mature, alluring softness.

"Me? I am your elder sister, En."

"Please stop joking."

Rin pushed the broken sword forward slightly, indicating that if she didn't tell the truth, he would act. But to his surprise, the girl raised an eyebrow with interest and persisted. "I'm not joking. After all, in a sense, I really am your elder sister."

"Also, remember... it's also an older sister's duty to discipline a disobedient younger brother."

As her words fell, the next second, the girl actively released her embrace on the boy. At the same time, before Rin could even react, the bedsheet beneath him suddenly seemed to come alive, transforming into ropes that bound his hands, lifting him straight up, his small feet barely touching the bed.

"Does this seem a little too rough?"

Her voice was no longer Artoria's from before. In the situation Rin couldn't see, the golden-haired girl, who had been wearing a deep blue formal dress, slowly shed an outer layer, gradually transforming into a mature woman in a magic gown and a crown of thorns. Morgana looked at the boy, who was hanging straight up, unable to struggle, suspended by the magic tools she had set up beforehand. Her slender, pale fingers lightly tapped her red lips, a playful smile on her face, which bore a striking resemblance to Artoria's.

"Now do you know what happens if you resist your elder sister? If you had just behaved earlier, you wouldn't be in this state. But ultimately, you can only blame that woman, Artoria."

"...What else do you know?"

Hearing her utter his adopted sister's biggest secret, Rin frowned, deliberately not struggling, his young face filled with worry and confusion. He didn't understand. This secret should only be known by him, Kay, Merlin, and his adoptive father; there was no way it could have leaked.

"Didn't I already say? I am your elder sister, so of course, I know the secrets you know." Seeing that the boy clearly couldn't comprehend her answer, Morgana chuckled and continued, "Simply put... though I really don't like to admit it, that woman Artoria can indeed be considered my younger sister. Do you understand now?"

"However, compared to that woman, I'd prefer you call me 'elder sister.' Or, you can also call me 'Sister Morgana.'"
