Reborn: The legend of the Phoenix

This Author has something to say : So before writing I thought a lot about what I would use to fill in chapter without making it seem boring, but sadly I got nothing, so I decided I will just start the Academy scenes now. I might release this chapter late, because I used the time I was supposed to use and sleep to watch TikTok and now as I am typing this I feel really sleepy. My sister has already decided that we will both wash our hair after waking, so typing and posting it will be delayed again... So. Adios amor 

CHAPTER 10

The entire group of imposters were struck at their weak points and were temporarily dazed. Fusheng used the opportunity created and escaped without them noticing.

 While Fusheng was still in the middle of her confrontation, Feilong whispered to her "We have to get out of here now. There are a group of highly trained men coming over to this place and from the looks of things they're definitely not coming here for a good reason."

Although Fusheng already knew that the imposters would try to harm her, hearing it from Feilong still made her feel a little sad, which made the last blow she delivered to them harsher. 

Fusheng quickly left the Meng House, she did not even bother to go to her courtyard. This time around she did not follow the gates, instead she leapt over the wall, like she did in the morning.

By the time she came out of the mansion, dusk had already approached, she hurriedly mixed together with the people going about in the street to avoid being tracked or followed.

(Somewhere in the capital)

A shadow guard stood reporting to his master "Master she did not need our help, she ran away even before the assassins could get to the Meng House."

A soft chuckle was heard and an amused voice sounded "Ha! Always so stubborn. My little bunny is quite brave and can hold her own, not even accepting help. Continue to monitor her and make sure that not a hair in her head is touched."

The shadow guard nodded and immediately disappeared. 

The Young Man that just gave out sn instruction, shook his head in amusement and continued looking through the documents in front of him.

(In the Meng House)

As Fusheng left the Mansion, the dazed members of the Meng Family woke up from their stupor. The first to react was the father, he angrily smashed the cup of tea beside him.

"How dare she? Who told her that name? Who gave her this sudden burst of confidence? How did she even get the admission letter from the Academy?"

Ah wan knelt down in fear and said "Master, I do not know how she got hold of the letter, I made sure that none of the letters ever reached her courtyard. I don't know how she got a hold of the letter."

Meng Wuzhong angrily slapped her, causing her to fall down, she hurriedly stood up and bowed again. Meng Wuzhong said "All these is as a result of your incompetence. Very stupid thing, I don't know why you could not control that waste."

Meixin did not even bother to soothe her husband but instead said "Let us not waste time on finding out who gave that girl the letter. That Fusheng girl said something about the Emperor himself asking her if she wanted to get rid of us. What if she goes to the Emperor now to complain about everything?"

Meng Wuzhong froze for a while and said "I do not believe what she said, she was surely lying to make us get scared. The Emperor does not have time for a girl like her. And besides thst girl already has a bad reputation in the capital, I am not sure anyone would believe any word she say." 

He turned to his wife and said "You should find time to meet with your cousin the Empress and tell her to make sure the Emperor does not have any good impression towards Fusheng. You already know what to do."

Meixin nodded and said "okay you are right." She then turned and saw Meilan crying on her chair, she hurriedly went to her and hugged her.

Meilan said "Mother, Lanlan is scared, even though Fusheng is now a waste, I still could not beat her."

Meixin said "Lanlan should not be scared, make sure to continue to tell your friends to spread false information about Fusheng to damage her reputation in the eyes of the commoners. You are the true Phoenix in the people's eyes, just focus on protecting your image of being a caring wronged younger sister. When you get to the Academy, make sure to make people dislike Fusheng, get the Crown prince's attention and you will be on your way to success."

Meixin then turned to her personal maid and told her to escort Meilan to her quarters, she then ordered all the servants to leave the Hall. 

When Meixin made sure that she was alone with her husband, she said "My lord, don't you think that it is high time we eliminated that Fusheng girl?"

Meng Wuzhong disagreed and said "She has not yet served her purpose. I need to use her to find the lost seal of the GOLDEN HORSE SQUAD led by her grandfather. I need that to make our name more solid in the capital. Do you know what it means for us to have the Army that Emperor himself can not control under our command?"

Meixin was not discouraged and said "I understand what you mean, but she has been in this Mansion under our command for so many years and yet we have not seen any progress in locating the seal, I doubt that now, she has grown wings and challenged us that she will be of any help. Take a look at what happened here today, if she becomes stronger, who knows what will happen in the future? She has already threatened to send us out of this house."

Meng Wuzhong was conflicted for a long while, he was thinking of what his wife said, and had to admit that she was right, so he said "Okay I will order my men to get rid of her. I will be in study, I have things to take care of."

As he left, only Meixin remained, she let out sn evil smile and said "You Fusheng had the guts to slap me. It seems I have been to lenient to you, I don't think waiting for the poison in your system to act up makes sense. I will make sure that you will understand the meaning of pain and despair, that even in your next life, you will not want to cross paths with me."

With that she left the hall to her courtyard.

While many people were making plans to end her and make her life a living hell, the main character herself, Fusheng had already transformed to her scholar's disguise and was looking for lodge to stay the night.

Feilong seeing her in her disguise for the first time said "Wow, now I understand why your step mother and her daughter want to ruin your face so bad. You are really good looking, both as a male or a female."

Fusheng rolled her eyes at him and said "Did you know that I was bluffing back at the mansion? Grandfather did bring me up as soldier, but I was trained by a Royal Momo(Nanny), so I basically grew up with the same etiquette of princesses. I was always reserved, believed that people were not evil, always taught to watch my words and moves. The way I acted today with the Crown prince and every other person was not how I was brought up. If the Royal Momo that taught me was alive to see me, she might have a heart attack." She laughed.

Feilong was not fooled by her laughter, he could sense the strong self-pity in her words.

Fusheng continued and said "So I want to ask you for something, could teach me to crude, bold and maybe shrewd? I know it is very absurd, but I feel that is the only way that I can get my revenge done. My previous lifestyle made me a pushover, it thought me that I did not need to take revenge when wronged, but I don't want that now. I want to be able to strike my enemies ten times if they were to strike me once."

Feilong felt that she was too pitiful so he said "Okay I will do that. I have roamed this world the longest, so what type of person have I not met? I can easily teach you to be stronger, mentally and emotionally."

Fusheng smiled and said "While you are at it, can you also teach me martial arts? "

Feilong sighed at her shamelessness and said "Never in my life did I imagine that I would one day be reduced to a teacher, but what can I do? We signed the contract for a lifetime so I have to do as you say."

Fusheng laughed at his exaggerated tone, she temporarily forgot the worries of the day.

So just like that Feilong spent the two weeks left before the start of school tutoring Fusheng on her temperament and Martial arts. To everyone in the capital, it seemed as if Fusheng had disappeared, but they did not know that they would be witnessing a new Meng Fusheng.

So hihihihi I thought I would be writing about the Academy in this chapter, but it turns out my mind has other plans. But seriously when I started writing this chapter, I did not think I would come up with such a powerful filler chapter. My bad...
