Reborn: The legend of the Phoenix

This Author has something to say: it has been raining a lot these days, it gets really cold at night, sometimes when I am writing, I get so cold, I even get goosebumps all over my body. So I am trying to tell everyone to keep warm, wear your jackets, and you can do like me and wear socks at night, but just keep warm, we wouldn't want to fall I'll at this time. So.... I'm freaking out right now, because I am about to write the first fighting scene and I am not sure if I will do a good job with the fighting scene. I wish I had focused more on the fighting scenes in all the Wuxia novels I read. *Crys in panic*

The leader of the five said again to Fusheng "Do you think you can offend Meixin and get away with it, you are even a waste that her sending us to deal with you is an insult to our strength..."

Fusheng interrupted him saying "Please don't tell me you're going to kill me with your mouth, you've been talking for so long I'm getting bored. Will you start or should I do you the honors?"

The leader was highly agitated and immediately sent out two of his subordinates to deal with Fusheng. Fusheng sighed and said to Feilong "These people really look down on me. They're not even giving their all in a fight, they forgot the first step of a fight; Never look down on your opponent."

Feilong sneered "Just make them regret it as they go to the afterlife."

The two came and stood one in front of her and the other at her back, Fusheng smiled and slowly opened her handfan. The men thought she was just putting up a front and both approached her at the same time, they did not even unsheathe their sword.

Fusheng used her folding handfan to block the attack of the one in front of her and used her right leg to deliver a back kick to the one behind. The two were shocked, so she used their shock against them and bumped their heads together, then she used her hands to hit their necks making them pass out. 

Fusheng then signaled Feilong to quickly kill them. Without waiting for the third one to react, she rushed up to him and gave him a head bump, making him loose his composure, she was at a loss for a split second, before giving him a kick in the place that the sun does not shine, making the man fall on his knees then she grabbed his head and smashed it on the ground, knocking him out as well. 

The fourth one was already panicking and made a wrong move which gave Fusheng an opening to also knock him out.

Then she turned to the leader and gave him a lazy smile, the man was clearly at his wits end. He stuttered "How, how did you do that? Are you not supposed to be a waste?"

He tried to sneak up on Fusheng while he was talking, but luckily for Fusheng, Feilong interfered and caused him to fall on his face, making him immobile. The widened his eyes in fear, he looked around and saw the bodies of his companions and looked at Fusheng in fear and said "You are a witch."

Fusheng raised her eyebrows and said "Well since you're about to die I will tell some secrets, never ever underestimate an opponent. I would have loved for you to tell Meixin all that happened here but I can't do that, the only thing I can do is to send Meixin to you in the underworld, then maybe you both will have a heart-to-heart conversation about my awesomeness. "

Feilong rolled his eyes at her.

Fusheng grabbed the leader's head and whispered "Guess what? You must have already noticed but I am no longer a waste." 

With that she snapped his neck ending his life. That was the only person that Fusheng killed, the rest were killed by Feilong.

After the fight Fusheng turned to Feilong and asked "How was the fight?"

Feilong sighed and said "Not impressive, you only escaped unscathed because they sent amateur martial artists your way. If they were more experienced you wouldn't even last for ten seconds. You made your moves too slow, you did not know where to hit your opponents, you only got through with your instincts and my help." 

He sighed and continued "But considering the fact the last two weeks you could not even do a horse stand properly, then this is a huge progress. But you need to work harder, because this might be the last time you meet weak opponents."

Fusheng nodded. She herself felt that she made a lot of errors just now, but she planned to improve, that is the whole point of getting into the Academy. She looked up at the sky and noticed that it was already mid noon, which means that the front gate of the Academy was already closed. She had never planned to enter through the main gate in the first place. As she planned to prepare herself to jump over the wall, she felt like she was forgetting something.

Then it struck her that she was forgetting the owner of the voice that got knocked out at the beginning of the fight. 

Fusheng rushed to him, then checked his pulse and noticed that he was still alive, that was when she noticed his face.

"Wow, how can someone look like this?"

She traced his face with her finger and said "Feilong remember when I said that the Crown prince could rival your looks. Well I have seen someone that is way above your leagues. What exactly happened in the capital when I was locked away, there are a lot of handsome boys around."

The boy lying unconscious on the ground was so perfect he looked like he came straight out of a painting, in fact he made the ground he was lying down on very beautiful. He was very fair, bordering on being pale, his lips although not being full had an indescribable allure to them, his nose was perfectly sculpted with a high nose bridge. His eyelashes were long an thick and his eyebrows were perfectly shaped. Even while he was unconscious there was this air of nobility around him. Everything about him was so perfect that nothing could be changed.

Feilong sneered and said "Even if he is very good looking, he is still too weak. He got knocked out with just a stone from amateur martial artists."

Fusheng chuckled and said "With this look, he is pardoned for being weak."

Her face became serious and she said to Feilong "We need to know who he is, so that we know where to leave him."

With that she started to search him for any sign of identity. When she searched his inner sleeve she was surprised to see a Jade token that belonged to the Academy, she had an identical Jade token.

She said to Feilong "What a coincidence he is also a student of the Academy."

Feilong rolled his eyes and muttered "Since when did the Academy start accepting weak people?"

Fusheng chuckled at Feilong's blatant display of jealousy. "Since the both of us are heading to the Academy, Feilong please help us over the wall, I cannot carry him over it."

Feilong rolled his eyes again, muttered some more things to himself and reluctantly gave both Fusheng and the unknown boy a lift over the wall.

When Fusheng landed safely inside the Academy, she surveyed her surroundings to make sure she did not land in an enemy's lair. When she felt that the surroundings were safe, she turned to the boy again and he seemed like he was regaining his consciousness.

Fusheng was thankful that the boy had regained his consciousness, at least now she could leave the boy and figure out her way in the academy.

The boy slowly came to and Fusheng was once again blown away by his handsomeness.

The boy struggled to sit up and looked around saying "Where, where am I?"

Fusheng said "We're in the Academy, I saw your Jade token and discovered that you were also a student of the Academy, so I brought us both inside the Academy." Fusheng looked proud.

The boy nodded and said "um... Thank you for helping me enter into the Academy. I, I um I am called Lingjun."

Fusheng felt that he was too cute while stuttering and said "No problem, you also helped me earlier. I am Meng Fusheng."

Lingjun did not even react as she said her name, he just stood up and looked down at Fusheng and said "Nice to meet you Fusheng."

Part of the reason Fusheng told him her full was to see his reaction, but surprisingly he did not even react as if he heard anything extraordinary unlike other people. Fusheng was genuinely impressed, she was willing to be friends with him. 

She nodded and smiled at him. "Do you know your way around this place?"

He looked away and said "Um I am new at the academy, so I am not to sure, but I have read about the academy a lot, so I can figure it out."

Fusheng was surprised to hear that he was still a new student, but looking at him, it made perfect sense. She said "I am also new here, so I will depend on you to show me the way."

Lingjun nodded looking somewhat shy, "If I am not wrong, then this is about the time for start of the General assembly. It is when the Principal gives the opening speech and read out the rules and regulations and other things."

Fusheng said "Oh, where is it being held?"

Then together with Lingjun, Fusheng left the courtyard and headed in the direction of the assembly. As they were about reaching the assembly ground, Lingjun suddenly stopped and said to Fusheng 

"I have something to take care of, I will not continue to lead you to the assembly. I hope we meet again"

And with that he left in the opposite direction of the Assembly ground.

Fusheng watched his retreating back and said to Feilong "Is he not cute?"

Feilong rolled his eyes and said "He is pretentious."

Fusheng chuckled lazily and said to Feilong "How did I not notice that you're such a jealous being?"

With that she turned around a corner, but instead bumped into someone. The person said irritably "Can't you watch where you are going?"

The first thing that came to Fusheng's view was a snow white cloak and when she looked at the owner of the familiar voice, her breath hitched.

A younger Fusheng and another little girl were playing with their little ponies. The little girl said "Fusheng what will you name your horse?"

Fusheng looked up in thought "hmm, no I have not decided, what about you Xueying?"

Xueying sighed and said "I don't also know, I was hoping to get inspiration from you. Ugh we're so bad at giving names."

Fusheng giggled and said "Maybe that is why we're friends."

(After Fusheng's mother's death)

Xueying hugged Fusheng and said "How are you going to cope now that your mother and grandfather has passed away, leaving only your father and his strange mistress?"

Fusheng sighed "I have to go on, and continue my grandfather's legacy. I will try not to interfere in the lives of my father and his mistress's life."

Xueying sighed "I really wish I can bring over to stay with me and my family. But you have to always come over, and reach out when there is a problem. I don't trust your father's mistress and her daughter at all."

Fusheng chuckled slightly "I don't even know what to think "

Xueying hugged her in silence.

(Presently)

Xueying was surprised at seeing Fusheng and her eyes softened, she sneered and said "So the rumors are true, you really came to the academy."

Fusheng gave an awkward smile and said nothing...

They both stared at each other for a while before Xueying pulled Fusheng's hand and said "Let's talk"

 This Author has something to say : Whew I finally finished this chapter. What do you think of the fight scene, I really struggled with it which was why I had to tone it down, making the opponents this time mediocre.

Anyways the song I am currently listening to is "Shinunoga E-Wa - Fujii Kaze" the only song that makes feel like I can speak fluent Japanese, although I don't think it has anything to do with the scenes.

What do you think of Lingjun? He is a really good actor, you'll get to find out about it later.

But what if when Fusheng jumped over the wall, that she landed straight into the principal's courtyard? That would have been very funny and eventful. That jumping over the wall, just reminded me of people that would jump over wall when they are late. hihihihi~

The leader of the five talking to the grim reaper : I honestly did not know that word on the street could not be believed. If I knew I would never have taken the job, I mean I know my own capabilities and I know when to stop.
