Reborn: The truth behind the love

Chapter 9: Chapter -9 The sudden emotional outbursts

When Esha, Emma, and Granny entered the room, they saw a scene which left them dumbfounded. Anjali, whom they always saw calm and collected, was filled with murderous rage. The room was in disarray; her hands were clenched so hard that it left marks on her palms, while her eyes were red as if blood would seep out of them at any moment.

She was trying to bang her hand on the wall, but something was restraining her—something that could not be seen by the naked eye.

When they saw the scene, they rushed in quickly to apprehend Ishaani. Emma, who was the strongest among them, restrained her hand, but Ishaani was out of control—her emotions were all over the place. They tried to calm her down. Esha shook Ishaani to wake her up, resulting in a moment of clarity in her eyes, but before she could ask anything, Ishaani fainted.

The whole room descended into chaos. Esha and Emma rushed her into the infirmary while Granny and Anjali followed them.

The doctor, who was about to end his shift and was yawning, suddenly woke up seeing Esha and Emma rushing a girl into the infirmary. She guided them to the bed as they laid Ishaani down.

The doctor quickly checked her heartbeat and asked, **"What happened to her?"**

Esha, who was panting from running, said, **"We don't know. When we entered the room, she was trying to bang her hand on the wall. When we tried to stop her, she became more unhinged and started shouting and crying loudly. After that, she fainted, and we rushed her here."**

The doctor nodded while checking her vitals. **"Do you know the reason behind her emotional outburst?"**

Emma and Esha glanced at each other and then shook their heads in unison.

**"Hmm."** The doctor sighed. **"It's common. From what you've told me, she must have suffered from some grief that got triggered, resulting in her emotional outburst. And if I'm not wrong, she was transferred here this morning from the hospital, which means she is not yet fully recovered. Combined with the emotional outburst, it resulted in her fainting. Don't worry—I've already given her some sedatives; they will help calm her emotions. If her outbursts continue, we'll have no choice but to send her to a mental asylum."**

After checking on her condition, the doctor walked out, leaving the three people and one ghost to take care of Ishaani.

Granny, who was panting from running, slid down with the wall's support and sat on the floor. Meanwhile, Anjali, whose mentality was like that of a nine-year-old child, started crying while hugging the still-unconscious Ishaani.

Granny, who had sat temporarily, became tense upon hearing the cries. If she was not wrong, this must be the ghost crying. Although she couldn't see her, she could sense and hear her.

Anjali, who was unaware of all this, burst into louder sobs, causing the lights in the room to flicker and the shelves to tremble. Seeing the situation worsening, Granny finally shouted, **"Will you stop crying? She's alive, not dead!"**

Anjali, who was bursting into loud sobs, turned her head toward the voice and realized it was Granny. She sniffled as she asked and then pounced on Granny.

Granny felt weight on her body as if something was pressing on her, and the loud sobs became clearer as Anjali was now hugging Granny and crying.

Although Granny Madhubala was an exorcist, her encounters with evil ghosts were always terrifyingly dangerous. Seeing the ghost latching onto her and crying, Granny's reaction became stiff.

Esha and Emma could also feel the change in the environment, and seeing Granny's reaction coupled with the words she spoke before, they knew their cover had been blown. Now the ghost knew they knew her secret. What if the ghost tried to silence them? What would they do? They huddled together as a chill ran down their spines.
