Reincarnated As Feldway

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: True Dragon V.S Angel Part-1

Location: Cardinal World

Feldway POV

That punch earlier? Yeah... it wasn't normal.

And now that I'm looking at her more closely, I can tell why.

Her body—at least that arm—is made of the same material as mine.

Great. Another one of those.

Guess Boss Veldanava really did give her a body like mine.

That's good to know, I guess. So it also means we share the same weak spot.

Same as mine, but unlike me, she has nothing to protect it. Gold, despite being good for control, is bad against offensive spells.

So it seems like I know what to do...

But... something's bugging me.

If Boss Veldanava gave her this body and also a name, then why hasn't he stopped me yet? He's watching—definitely. I could feel it; he just teleported into the mist and did all that. And if he wanted to stop this, he would've done it already.

Which means... he's hesitating. I've known him for a long time, but he's never hesitated like this.

That alone tells me a lot.

With a sigh, I slid Ark back into its dimensional pocket.

"No sword," I muttered. "Let's keep this simple."

She tilted her head, confused for a second... then smiled. Not just any smile—it was wide, gleeful, borderline childish. Her fists shimmered as more ice formed around them like gloves.

Was she excited?

Really?

"I get to punch more now?" she asked, almost bouncing.

...Why does this feel like babysitting a nuke with the personality of a five-year-old?

Whatever.

I raised my hand. Magic began to gather around that Velzard kid, forming a large magic circle. She just stood there, foolishly.

"Disintegration."

3rd Person POV

A golden pillar of light crashed down on Velzard. Inside the blinding column she stood unharmed—only squinting at the brightness.

Crack.

The light split. Before Velzard could reopen her eyes, a presence materialized in front of her.

Feldway.

He drove a brutal kick into her abdomen, launching her backward. She barely had time to register the hit before he closed the gap, unleashing a flurry of Muay Thai round-house strikes—each one hammering the same spot.

'This is... Muay Thai, right?' Feldway thought to himself.

He barely remembered his past life—yet the movements felt natural.

'Why do I know this? And why am I so good at it?'

Maybe just leftover muscle memory from his past life.

Velzard gagged, coughing up blue magicules. Desperate, she caught his leg in both hands.

"Th-that hurts!" she cried, golden eyes glaring up at him. "You're not supposed to hit there—it's unfair!"

Ice spread from her grip, racing up his shin. Feldway twisted, using his free leg to deliver a sharp counter-kick to her forearm. The blow shattered the ice and shoved her back, resetting the distance between them.

Velzard steadied herself, frost swirling around her fists.

Feldway lowered his stance, his eyes calm.

But Feldway noticed something.

As he glanced down, he saw frostbite rapidly forming on his feet—even through his shoes. He could feel the biting cold seeping in.

The entire mountain range around them was changing. The temperature was dropping fast, and the magicules were growing denser by the second, converging inward.

"Tch... So you're condensing your magicules into the center of the range," Feldway muttered, watching his breath fog in the freezing air.

Velzard locked her glowing eyes on Feldway, slowly raising her hand. A pale light gathered in her palm.

High above, Feldway noticed the shadow forming beneath him. When he looked up, his eyes narrowed.

A massive block of ice, the size of a small mountain, was plummeting toward him like a falling star.

"Snow Ball," Velzard whispered sweetly.

"Tch..." Feldway clicked his tongue. "Need a counter... but for now—"

Just as the ice closed in, barely inches away, he raised his hand and muttered,

"Armageddon."

A flash of divine light burst above him. A radiant winged figure emerged from the ether, intercepting the icy mass.

BOOM!

The collision lit up the sky, the explosion roaring just above Feldway's head, shaking the entire battlefield.

As the explosion faded, a calm voice echoed through the mist.

"Activate: Castle Guard."

A golden shimmer wrapped around Feldway just in time—because in the next instant, Velzard appeared right in front of him.

CRACK!

A powerful uppercut slammed into his chin, sending him flying into the sky. The blow would've shattered anyone else, but thanks to Castle Guard, Feldway took no damage. He flared his wings midair, stabilizing himself.

But Velzard wasn't done.

She reappeared again—this time unleashing a rapid barrage of punches. To the face, the gut, everywhere.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Each strike hit like a cannon. And yet... nothing.

Feldway didn't flinch, didn't block—he simply let her go wild.

Because while her fists rained down...

He was thinking.
