Reincarnated As Feldway

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: True Dragon V.S Angel Part-2

Location: Cardinal World

Feldway POV

I'm running out of time.

She's escalating faster than any newborn body should—childish voice, wide eyes, but her spatial control is alarmingly precise.

She's overloaded—if she holds that energy in one spot, it could punch through to the Cardinal World's core and unmake everything.

Veldanava granted my team—Primordial Angels—our power. That's expected. But her? She isn't part of your dream. Assigning her a body and a name was reckless.

Veldanava... I know you're watching. Why aren't you stepping in?

I targeted her abdomen to destabilize the core and force her into slumber. But she shifted it—straight to her chest—as if she anticipated my move.

Damn—she's sharp.

Veldanava, I've known you too long. You freeze only when torn—either mercy or caution holds you back. You created her directly or indirectly: bestowed her a name and body. If you don't want her destroyed, do something. Shield her...rein her in. Stop floating her boat.

Because I'm done softening my strikes... and I won't let your grand dream rot in limbo just because you can't bring yourself to act over one damn mistake you gave a name to.

Somewhere atop the mountains surrounding the battlefield

A black-haired individual with white specks in his hair stood silently.

His expression, once stern and unreadable, softened slightly—

after reading the thoughts of a certain white-haired angel.

Return back to Feldway POV

Okay. But how long till I run out of magicule?

Michael—stalling isn't a strategy. Every second, she adapts. She won't slow down. I have to strike now—before her magicule concentration causes an explosion that could destroy the core of the Cardinal World… and lead to its total annihilation.

Michael—stalling isn't strategy. Every second she adapts. She won't slow. I have to strike now—before this metastasizes.

Pull up the Ultimate Skill data archive you have. Search for Zalario's spatial domination. If his technique is stored, extract it. No extras. Just that.

Move fast. We've already lost too many seconds.

Individual Feldway now possesses two versions of [Spatial Domination]:

Extra Skill: [Spatial Domination] — originally acquired by individual Feldway as Extra Skill gifted by Veldanava.

Subskill: [Spatial Domination] — a stronger version derived from the Ultimate Skill: [Israfil]>

Finally... after all this time, I get to test this idea. I should've done it ages ago. But when you've lived as long as I have, you start putting things off—always thinking there'll be time later. And so, I kept pushing it aside for other work.

Just as I opened my mouth to let out a sigh of relief, that white-haired woman, Velzard, punched me in the face... I'm starting to get a bit tired now.

Flashback Begin

500,000 years ago

"What's up, Zalario?"

I called out as he sat on the Star Palace balcony, watching his unit march through the gardens below.

He hopped down with a grin, giving a short bow. "Good to see you in one piece, Commander Feldway."

I tossed him the grimoire I'd been working on—Holy Magic, infused with some of my own custom spellwork. Disintegration included. Took me long enough.

"You finally finished it?"

"Yeah. Figured it was time."

He caught it with ease, eyes flicking over the familiar crest on the cover.

"Thank you, Commander."

I waved him off. "Still with the formalities?"

"It fits you," he said with a smirk. "Ever consider appointing a right hand yet?"

I paused. "Not yet. Honestly? I'm not exactly easy to work directly under, especially as a right hand. I follow orders—I don't give them lightly."

"You're too hard on yourself," he said, leaning casually against the balcony rail. "Dhalis performs just fine under my command. Obera found Ohma, didn't she? Dhalis may be one of many high ranking Cherub, but he's shown remarkable potential—that's why I chose him. Maybe it's simply your turn pick someone like Dhalis"

I gave a small nod, not really arguing the point, and shifted the subject.

"What about you? How's your skill development coming along?"

He lifted a hand, palm open. A soft pink glow shimmered to life, forming a crystalline sword of stardust right above it.

I raised an eyebrow. "Seriously? That much control?"

"Spatial Domination," he replied, like it was nothing. "I bend space, wavelength, and spiritons to shape it."

Interesting. That was different from mine—more intricate. My version didn't tap into wavelength or spiritons. Definitely tied to his Ultimate Skill.

"Well," he said, tucking the grimoire under his arm, "I've got a match with Dino. That mess needs a proper wake-up call."

I chuckled. "Try not to break him."

He gave me a sideways grin. "No promises."

Zalario's done for. He really shouldn't take Dino lightly—unless he transformed into his true form early. Then maybe he'll stand a chance... before getting completely obliterated by Dino's true form.

Though, Zalario's version of spatial domination does seem interesting to say the least.

End of Flashback

Afterwards, I kept analyzing the technique that the Titan used. There were layers to it—brute strength veiled beneath a lattice of spatial warping. It wasn't something to dismiss.

Especially now... now that I'd finally acquired the Time Spirit from that insufferable Spirit Queen, Ramiris.

And with this...

I slowly closed my eyes.

The world around me faded, replaced by an infinite dark bluish stardust rushing towards Feldway then a void of silence.

In the center of that dark bluish void, a small, glowing figure floated—humanoid, no more than a child's size, bathed entirely in soft blue light. Insect-like wings fluttered on its back, leaving trails of shimmering particles behind.

It drifted toward me.

Then, wordlessly, it began circling around me. Round and round.

Its face was blank, save for one disturbing detail—a crude, smiling expression, like something out of a child's drawing.

'Listen here,' I muttered coldly in my mind, 'I need a fragment of your power. Now. I'm not in the mood to play with you today.'

At that, the smile faltered. Then... twisted into sorrow.

Without a word, it raised its tiny arm—and tore it off.

Light burst from the wound as the severed fragment floated toward me.

My eyes snapped open.

I was back.

Velzard was still there, her body a blur as she launched a storm of punches, shattering the air around me with each blow.

But now...

A mechanical chime rang in my ears.

Finally.

It's time.

3rd Person POV

Feldway took the full brunt of Velzard's attack without a scratch.

It clearly irritated her. "Why aren't you hurt yet?!" she shouted, her voice cracking with frustration.

Feldway moved without a word. He caught her ice-covered fist mid-swing and crushed it in his grip. Then, leaning in close, he muttered coldly, "You're lucky I'm using my fists instead of Ark."

Before she could respond, he twisted her arm and delivered a solid kick to her stomach, sending her flying back.

She tried to charge again—but Feldway snapped his fingers. "Time Stop."

Everything halted. Space, spiritrons, motion. Even Velzard—now frozen mid-rush.

Feldway reached into the dimensional pocket and drew out his sword, Ark. He pointed the tip at her throat, then slowly moved it down until it hovered just above her chest.

"If your existence didn't threaten his dream, I'd say you're impressive"

Just as he began to thrust the blade forward, something stopped it.

Another hand—familiar, strong—gripped the flat of Ark's blade.

Feldway looked up.

"...You're back, Boss."

He didn't raise his voice, but his posture shifted slightly. "So you've decided to keep her alive. You do realize she's not stabilizing. If this continues, either she or the Cardinal World—"

"I'll handle it," Veldanava interrupted softly. "Remove Ark. And thank you. You did your job well."

Feldway nodded, retracted the sword, and stepped back without another word.

Veldanava moved forward. He raised his hand—and snapped his fingers.

Time resumed.

Velzard lunged on instinct, but Veldanava caught her and pulled her into a tight embrace. "It's alright, Velzard," he whispered gently, his voice grounding. "You've had enough fun."

Her body stiffened... then slowly relaxed. The surging magicule energy around her began to calm, her eyes closing as her body settled into his arms.

Veldanava quietly lifted her into a cradle carry, holding her close.

"You could've done that a long time ago," Feldway said flatly, adjusting his coat as he watched Veldanava cradle Velzard.

"You're right," Veldanava replied softly. "But I only realized it a few moments ago... when I caught myself thinking, I don't want to lose anyone else."

He looked down at the sleeping woman in his arms. "Well... looks like it's time to initiate the backup plan. I'll have to create that being after all."

Feldway paused, brow furrowing. He remembered what Veldanava was referring to, then let out a quiet sigh. "So... you're actually going through with it."

"And this one here—" Veldanava glanced down again, a gentle smile forming as Velzard breathed peacefully in his arms. "From now on, she's part of me."

He held her closer.

"She's my little sister now. Velzard."

Veldanava's expression softened, a rare playful gleam lighting his eyes, same one he always have shows to Feldway and other.

"What did you say about my dream? That it won't rot in limbo?"

Feldway scratched the back of his head.

"It's my job to help you build the perfect world. As your subordinate, I'm just doing that."

Veldanava chuckled warmly.

"Thank you, Feldway."

He glanced at Velzard in his arms.

"Let's go back. Now that she's with us, the Cardinal World will start to warm again. Take a bath in the liquify Stardust, then come to my office. We have much to discuss."

In response, Feldway gave Veldanava a salute.

Afterwards a swirl of blue teleportation magic appeared beneath them.

In an instant, they vanished—returning to the Star Palace.
