Chapter 33: Chapter 33: The Merchant from Dravenheim

A well-dressed merchant from Dravenheim, a man with connections to the royal family, entered the shop. Kaito had already received reports from Nova that several merchants and other individuals from Dravenheim were in the city. However, he simply ordered Nova to keep an eye on them and ensure they weren't causing any trouble.

The merchant stormed towards Renji and barked, "Hey, you one-footed man! Why haven't you sent the wares to my carriages as I ordered?!"

He started shouting aggressively, demanding an explanation. Kaito was about to step in and stop the situation from escalating, but Pixie placed a hand on his arm and whispered, "Wait. Just watch."

Kaito looked at her curiously. "What do you mean?"

Before he could get an answer, Renji suddenly appeared behind the merchant. With a swift motion, he grabbed the man by the collar, dragged him outside the shop, and hurled him high into the sky.

A few seconds later, Nova reported to Kaito, "Master, an unknown flying object has just left Neonexus and arrived at its borders…"

People rushed outside to see what had happened, but the merchant was nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Renji calmly walked back into the shop as if nothing had happened and continued working.

Some of the guests, still shocked, turned to Kaito. "What just happened?!" one of them asked.

Pixie chuckled and explained, "That man came here yesterday and demanded Renji give him every item in the shop. He even had the audacity to tell Renji to personally load the goods onto his carriage, which was parked near an inn. Renji simply ignored him. But later that night, someone tried to trespass into the shop, only to be stopped by the guard robots."

Before Pixie could finish, someone interrupted her. "But yesterday, Renji was with us the entire time, accompanying us to this country! Does he have a twin brother or something?"

Althea, one of Kaito's fiancées, answered with a knowing smile. "Yes, he does. And he's standing right in front of you."

The noble who had asked the question blinked in confusion. "Where? I only see His Highness Kaito in front of me. D-Don't tell me... it's him?! Renji is Kaito's twin brother?!"

Kaito nodded. "Yes, he is."

Everyone was stunned. One of them asked, "But how come your personalities are completely opposite? Renji hasn't said a single word ever since we met him! Even when he was with us during the journey, he didn't speak at all."

Another person added, "Wait… does that mean he can't talk?"

Kaito shook his head. "That's not the case. He just doesn't like to talk much."

After the revelation, the guests continued browsing the shop and selecting the items they needed. Meanwhile, Althea and Kaito's other fiancées turned their attention back to Renji.

"Even we have never heard him speak a single word," Lilia pointed out. "Every time someone asks him something, Pixie answers for him."

Amelia added, "Not only that, but he hasn't even come to eat a single meal with us since he arrived here. And I don't think he's entered his room either."

Kaito was about to question Renji about this, but Pixie interrupted. "He always takes on quests for the guild or spends his time crafting items for the shop. As for food, he cooks his own meals in the kitchen here. His timing just doesn't match yours."

The conversation was momentarily forgotten as Pixie changed the topic. "Speaking of which, did you all like your engagement rings?"

The three fiancées nodded happily. "Yes, they are beautiful."

Pixie suddenly grinned mischievously and dropped a bombshell. "You know, Renji has already completed your wedding rings, too. For all twelve of you."

The entire room went silent. Kaito, Althea, Lilia, and Amelia froze.

"W-What do you mean by twelve?!" Kaito stammered.

Pixie's eyes widened, and she stuttered, "T-T-Twelve? I meant three! Yeah, three! Definitely three!"

Kaito's fiancées narrowed their eyes at him. "We'll talk about this later, darling," Althea said sweetly, though her smile sent chills down Kaito's spine.

Kaito gulped, sweat forming on his forehead. He decided to ask Renji about it once the guests finished shopping.

After the customers had bought what they needed and started leaving, Kaito turned to Renji and Pixie. "Alright, what was that about twelve wives?!"

Pixie nervously scratched her head. "Well… Renji has seen your future already. That's why…"

Kaito froze. "Don't drop such bombs on me, Pixie!"

Pixie quickly apologized, while Renji simply held up a message that read: "I will not tell Pixie about the future anymore for safety reasons."

Before Kaito could argue further, his fiancées called out to him and Renji. "Get in the carriage. We're leaving."

Seeing no other choice, Kaito and Renji boarded the carriage as instructed, with Kaito still feeling uneasy about what he had just learned. As they rode off, he couldn't shake the feeling that his future was going to be much more complicated than he had ever imagined.
