Chapter 43: Chapter 43: “The Gates Break Open”
📜 Previously on The Last Prince of Kaligarh:
Aryan avenged the ambush on his mother by orchestrating the assassination of General Raghav Varun. His spy Reva eliminated the general in a brilliant infiltration, sending a message to all enemies: Kaligarh's prince is not just fighting with swords—but with shadows.
SCENE 1 – INSIDE KALIGARH [ENEMY PALACE – NIGHT]
Whispers echo through stone halls. The once-feared King Varundev prepares to abandon the city.
Only a handful of trusted nobles remain. At dawn, under heavy disguise, he quietly leaves Kaligarh through the southern secret tunnel—fleeing to his capital, Dharanipur, far to the south.
He leaves behind his most trusted strategist—Amrit Narayan, a cold, brilliant mind—charged with holding Kaligarh.
SCENE 2 – ARYAN'S WAR ROOM [SUNDARHAV CAMP – EARLY MORNING]
VIRAJ (spy leader)
The rat fled the sinking ship. King Varundev's gone.
ARYAN (smiling coldly)
Then the city has no king. Only a gate… waiting to break.
Aryan stands, spreads a map across the table.
ARYAN
No more waiting. We attack at dawn. Full siege.
SCENE 3 – THE SIEGE OF KALIGARH BEGINS [OUTER WALLS – DAWN]
The city looms, shrouded in fog.
Then—
BOOM!
A massive siege weapon from Suryapur—a black iron trebuchet—launches a boulder into Kaligarh's wall. Stones explode, the shock echoing for miles.
BANG! CRACK! BOOM!
Arrow volleys light the sky.
The enemy, led now by Amrit Narayan, fights fiercely. He shouts orders, reinforcing broken gates, rerouting men, predicting Aryan's movements.
But inside the walls, the defenders starve.
The granaries are nearly empty.
SCENE 4 – BATTLE ON THE WALLS
Aryan watches the chaos from a tall siege tower, telescope in hand.
The clash is brutal. Soldiers scream. Blood spills from both sides.
Suddenly—he sees it.
ARYAN (calmly)
There.
Through his lens, he watches as a gate creaks open from the inside. A spy, dressed as a guard, slips away.
ARYAN (to Wolf Rider Commander)
The gates are open. Now.
COMMANDER (growling)
Wolf Riders—tear them apart!
SCENE 5 – THE WOLVES UNLEASHED
The elite Wolf Rider unit charges through the opened gate on black horses and giant dire wolves. Their armor is blackened, their swords curved, their eyes burning with fury.
They cut down every soldier in their path—no hesitation.
They ride straight to the north hill, where Kaligarh's palace towers over the city.
SCENE 6 – AMRIT NARAYAN'S LAST STAND [ROYAL PALACE]
The strategist Amrit Narayan watches from a balcony. The palace gates shake.
A Wolf Rider crashes through with two others.
Amrit draws a sword, but it's too late. His guards fall. He's surrounded.
COMMANDER (to Amrit)
The prince sends his regards.
They drag Amrit down the steps in chains.
SCENE 7 – ARYAN'S ENTRY [MAIN STREET OF KALIGARH]
Aryan, cloaked in royal black and red, rides Veer, his mighty tiger.
Sena, still wounded but proud, walks beside him.
Enemy soldiers rush him in desperation.
ARYAN (to his tiger)
Clear the way.
Veer roars, leaping into the air. Aryan cuts down three men in seconds. Blood splashes his face.
He looks cold. Fierce. Untouchable.
ONLOOKERS (whispering)
The Fallen Prince…
He's returned…
The True Heir has come back!
CITIZENS begin to cheer. They come out of hiding, waving, crying.
WOMAN (shouting)
Long live Prince Aryan! Our King!
SCENE 8 – THE THRONE ROOM [ROYAL PALACE – LATE EVENING]
Aryan walks alone through the ruined halls of the palace.
His boots echo against marble.
The doors to the throne room creak open.
At the end of the long hall sits the throne—his father's. Carved in gold and obsidian. Empty.
Aryan walks up the steps.
He places his hand on the cold, ancient stone. His expression unreadable.
ARYAN (quietly)
You banished me. You hunted me. You tried to erase me.
(He breathes deeply.)
ARYAN
But now… I sit where you feared I'd return.
He turns his head slightly. His voice drops.
ARYAN
And I'm never leaving again.
