Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 455: One Condition

After Xu Feng's sardonic teasing remarks, Emberwolf finally lost his composure.

Infuriated, Emberwolf's body squirmed as he tried to latch onto Xu Feng, his jaws opening back and forth, almost as if he wanted to bite Xu Feng to death.

Unfortunately, his action inevitably earned the ire of Flint, who stomped down heavily with his paw: Earthquake Stomp.

BOOM!

Emberwolf's face was turned into a pile of mush as he died a horrible death.

"Phew, good thing that's just his 9th death. One more life before it's the other's turn." Xu Feng clasped his hands in joy as he gazed at the invisible atmosphere, causing those in ghost-like forms to feel an immense chill running down their spine.

Although they were positive Xu Feng cannot see them in their current form, they still instinctively felt as if they were being watched right at this moment.

They couldn't even float too far away from their corpse, otherwise, the system would forcefully teleport them back. In other words, they had no choice but to witness such a cruel and ruthless torture done to Emberwolf.

Never once did they expect a prideful and arrogant person like Emberwolf to be capable of exuding such pitiful and vivid emotion.

Normally, it would have been an eye-opener and they would have laughed hysterically at his plight.

However, they can't find themselves laughing at all, mainly because they knew very well once Xu Feng was done toying with Emberwolf, they would be his next targets.

"Can I log out here?" Emberwolf's subordinate, Hunter Rick, asked in an anxious tone.

"I've already tried that, but the system gave me a flash red warning of the severe penalty if I do proceed with it." Spirit Fang rolled his eyes and said, almost as if he had labeled Hunter Rick to be a clown like Emberwolf.

What a ridiculous question?

If he could have logged out without the severe penalty, then he would have done it long ago.

"How harsh is the severe penalty anyway compared to this torturous scene?" Hunter Rick snorted coldly and attempted to log out. The very next moment though, he frowned and pursed his lips in silence.

"Idiot!" Spirit Fang flatly said after witnessing Hunter Rick shut his mouth and stopped talking after testing it out.

The penalty not only barred a player from entering for 3 days, but upon logging back in, they would suffer from attributes deceased and 99% of experience points lost for a whopping 7 days.

Who the hell would accept such a penalty?

Forcing logging out meant doom for a total of 10 days, and with how fast the Divine World was progressing and more and more players hopping into the bandwagon, they would effectively be eliminated through the passage of time.

It was also precisely because of that Emberwolf had no other choice but to accept his fate in getting ruthlessly tortured by Xu Feng and how the latter didn't even worry a bit they would log out.

'The Divine World has always been fair and would not allow any players to actively sabotage a large-scale raid. If anyone could simply just log out for no reason, then why would anyone be willing to do the raid?' Xu Feng sneered inwardly.

Naturally, the punishment of forcing logging out was decided by the Raid Leader and could be implemented to whomever he wanted. In other words, those who aren't a risk of sabotaging wouldn't have any penalty when forcing logging out.

After all, life happened and an emergency event could be occurring, so there was no way the Divine World would keep them trapped in prison.

A second later, Xu Feng revived Emberwolf one more time— his final revival.

"Welcome back alive, Mister Emberwolf." Xu Feng chuckled in amusement.

"Aren't I just the greatest healer to ensure you won't die for a long time?" He continued, despite the emotionless and lifeless Emberwolf's face.

"I-It's my last revival… do your worst." Emberwolf remained still on the ground, not even bothering to offer up any resistance whatsoever. He figured out no matter how much curses he threw at him, it would be futile. Since that was the case, then why even bother wasting his energy.

"Oh, so you're giving up on your chain mission?" Xu Feng suddenly exclaimed and retrieved the few items he had looted from Emberwolf earlier.

"These items might not be that rare and could easily be done, but what if I were to make a forum post right now about the chain mission. I'm sure there'll be plenty of eager players who wish to complete it for themselves."

"..."

Emberwolf flinched as his body shivered up in astonishment. 'He knew about the chain mission, but he shouldn't know about the NPC, right?'

As if believing Xu Feng was bluffing, his next words caused Emberwolf to regret everything. At best he could simply restart the chain mission once failed, but with Xu Feng capable of knowing who and where the NPC that offered the chain mission came from, he was doomed.

"Why are you doing this to me?" Emberwolf teared up and bawled his eyes out like a little baby.

He could no longer take it anymore. Not even the bashing done by his pet was capable of destroying him so hard.

"Waahhh, why only target me? Those corpses are like me as well, so torture them too." He cried and pointed at his fellow partners in crimes, unaware of them spectating the scene.

Or maybe Emberwolf knew, but he couldn't care less anymore. He got humiliated, insulted, and tortured so hard, so why shouldn't his partner in crimes get the same treatment?

As long as they received the same treatment as him, he doubted any of them would dare to speak of this incident again, well aside from Xu Feng.

"You want them to have the same treatment as you?" Xu Feng mused and nodded, "I can do that but under one condition."

"What condition? Spell it out!" Emberwolf roared, clearly beaming in malice at the joy of seeing them suffer.

'Fuck!' Upon realizing the drastic change, those spectating in their ghost-like form began cursing Emberwolf viciously, including Hunter Rick and his other subordinates.
