Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 460: Muddy Swamp Water

Having been mentioned repeatedly and labeled as a criminal with a past offense, Iceheart had finally learned to compose herself.

She realized that Xu Feng merely wanted to keep using her actions as an example and warning to others.

So long as she gave zero response to his statement, then there was nothing else he could do. 'I'll just behave like I usually do and treat this shameless man as a stranger.'

"I've been wondering, but how come we haven't encountered many monsters so far?" Veronica voiced her concern and doubt. She had been alerted and tensed the whole time due to the grim atmosphere and harsh condition of the Fallen Swamp.

Not only was the swamp very disturbing looking, but the smell it emitted tended to make one feel nauseous as they advanced further.

With that being said, now should have been the best time for the monsters to ambush them just like what the Obsidian Sludges did.

However, nothing happened and their focus was starting to dwindle.

Even DeathLingers began to show signs of fatigue from having to constantly focus on detecting any traps nearby, only to end up with naught.

Within the center of the group, Carmen consoled her friend. "There must be a reason why there haven't been any monsters, but we shouldn't keep our guards down. Monsters in the Divine World are extremely cunning the higher their level is."

Just at this moment, Xu Feng suddenly signaled for everyone to pause.

"Hmm, it seems like I've still underestimated this swamp." He murmured softly.

"Is there something wrong?" Carmen furrowed her brows and inquired. "Do you think the monsters are hiding from us?"

Nodding, Xu Feng explained, "Remember when I mentioned that each passage is different? Aside from the difference in enemies, their structures of completion are also randomized. And I'm afraid we got the RNG monster."

"RNG Monster?"

"Mhmm, meaning that the monsters aren't in hiding, but that we failed to trigger a certain mechanism to find them."

As he finished saying that, Xu Feng gazed at the bottom of his shoe, kicking away some of the muddy swamp water.

'Fuck, it's one of those more underground compartment.' He involuntarily cursed in frustration. What he hated the most was underground after underground layers.

Just how was one supposed to navigate such a complex pathway even if there was a map?

"Everyone move out of the swamp water!" Despite his frustration, Xu Feng needed to get the job done regardless of whether the matter was troublesome or not.

Shortly after everyone moved out, Xu Feng commanded Iceheart to swing her big Claymore sword to create a large crater nearby for the muddy swamp water to be drained.

Naturally, Iceheart was less than pleased about the sudden command.

'Create a large crater? Am I not a Berserker? How did I become a lowly construction worker now?' Iceheart grunted silently but still nodded in the end.

Iceheart gripped the hilt of her claymore tightly, her muscles tensing as the weight of the blade balanced in her hands. Her eyes gleamed with a cold and focused fury, almost as if she was about to vent her frustration of Xu Feng with her next strike.

As the air around her seemed to tremble in response to her building energy, she surged forward, with each step creating a somewhat thunderous sound.

She leaped to the air, the Claymore sword hanging above her air as she brought it down on the ground, "Earthshatter Cleave!"

BOOOM!

The impact of the collision was immediate. The ground that was struck beneath her, exploded outward as the sword collided with the earth, sending a shockwave of energy rippling across the field.

The shockwave caused the muddy swamp water to splash across.

Thankfully, Xu Feng was prepared for the outcome in advance and shielded him, along with Carmen and Veronica.

As for the others, most were quite unlucky as they failed to react in time.

The muddy swamp water drenched their clothes, with some more unlucky individuals being splashed directly on their faces. And those who went beyond the word unlucky had swallowed some of the muddy water, much to their horror.

Zhao Kai brushed off some of the muddy water from his clothes, turned to Xu Feng, and narrowed his eyes. "Raid Leader, you seriously couldn't afford to shield me as well?"

Since Xu Feng assigned him to be in the center of the group, Zhao Kai could have totally been in the barrier.

Xu Feng shrugged in response.

"Why are you complaining when DeathLingers, who's at the front, managed to avoid being splashed?" He pointed at the latter and continued, "Rather than blaming why I didn't shield you. You should blame yourself for the slow reaction and self-reflect."

"..."

Amidst Zhao Kai's disbelief of his buddy being biased, behind him was a sullen face SilentWhisper. Stay connected with My Virtual Library Empire

Out of the three Mage Classes here, only she was cast aside and was not shielded. She was also one of the unlucky few to have swallowed a few of the muddy swamp water.

'Damn this bastard Lin Feng. He's detestable back at the Scorched Caverns and even more hateful now!' SilentWhisper cursed him silently at the top of her mind, wanting nothing more than to beat the latter to a pulp.

However, she also knew nothing good would come out if she dared to openly protest against him.

Thus, just like her username, SilentWhisper remained silent and calmly brushed off the muddy water.

Meanwhile, Ardent Lance and Steelshot enjoyed the greatest treatment.

From top to bottom, they were drenched completely and swallowed a crap ton of the muddy water. The two were currently on their knees, still choking and trying to vomit the already-swallowed muddy water out.

"Ugh, my tongue is still feeling the aftertaste of the water." Steelshot cried pitifully as he made a nauseous action.

"Shut up!" Ardent Lance hissed coldly. "Don't think I won't recall you pushing me to the front right near the end."

"Which dumb eyes of yours saw me pushing you?" Steelshot grunted coldly, clearly refusing to admit his action.

"I can be a witness." Amidst their argument, DeathLingers suddenly chimed in and volunteered to be a witness.

"Steelshot used his right hand to push Ardent Lance to the front and block off half of the muddy water."
