Chapter 461: Clearing an Area
The atmosphere turned deadly silent amidst DeathLingers— the usually quiet one to rat Steelshot out.
"Curse you, Steelshot!" Initially still in a daze, Ardent Lance soon comprehended the meaning and realized he was indeed not wrong in his deduction.
Steelshot had truly pushed him forward, causing him to be the person in the worst state.
However, Ardent Lance couldn't even cause any trouble before Xu Feng coldly shouted.
"Enough!"
Xu Feng stepped in between the two of them and continued, "Are you here for the raid or to have an internal trifle constantly? If it's the latter, then I'll gladly boot you two out and complain to your respective guild leader."
Upon the mention of their deeds being reported to their guild leader, both of them shivered in fear.
'Have the guild leader know I failed my mission?' Ardent Lance's face turned ghastly pale as he could already imagine the scene that he would be receiving.
Similarly, Steelshot's face turned extremely white, almost as if he was about to faint from shock and horror. 'No, the guild leader cannot know I messed up again. Otherwise, I'm going to be forced to be a janitor and barred from gaming.'
Shortly after, the two calmed down and quickly made amends with each other, acting as if there were no discords from the get-go. They could easily continue their farce once the raid was done, but for now, they could only call a temporary truce.
"Steelshot's action was indeed in the wrong, but as a Tank, it's expected for you to be shielding the DPS." Xu Feng calmly commented.
"But since there wasn't actually any monster or danger, a decision would be made. The Raid Points that Steelshot had earned so far would be halved, with the points going to you, Ardent Lance." He added, giving a fair and just decision.
"Thank you, Raid Leader!" Overwhelmingly grateful, Ardent Lance readily accepted the judgment, much to the displeasure of Steelshot.
Nevertheless, the latter still accepted Xu Feng's judgment so as to call an end to the matter.
"Are you guys done bickering?" At this moment, Iceheart suddenly exclaimed, having been sidelined for a while after creating the large crater.
"Not yet," Xu Feng exclaimed, much to the surprise of Iceheart.
Amidst everyone's confusion, Xu Feng turned his attention to DeathLingers.
"I would have appreciated it more when you kept quiet instead of speaking. I prefer harmony in the team." He calmly said, subtly hinting at something.
"Pardon my offense. I shall keep it in mind." DeathLingers responded, not even flinching a bit upon the reprimand.
With that being said, Xu Feng nodded his head, much to the displeasure of Iceheart.
'Harmony? You were the one that has been causing disharmony all along and lecturing everyone as if they're your subordinate.' She thought to herself.
Nevertheless, she kept quiet of her thoughts whereas Xu Feng began instructing Carmen to blast her spell at the water to divert it to the large crater. "Don't overdo your spell and keep it at a moderate rate."
"Ardent Lance and Shadow Blade, use your shield on the front to prevent water from flowing through. I want this particular area of circumference to be cleared of muddy water." He added, pointing at a spot.
"Yes, Raid Leader!"
Very quickly, both of them assumed a position, ignoring their drenched clothes.
As they gave the signal that they were ready, Xu Feng signaled for Carmen to make a move.
Shortly after, Carmen wielded her staff and blasted through the center of the area. Once the muddy water erupted into the sky, she then controlled her Elementalist to gush them toward the large crater that Iceheart had created earlier.
SPLASHED!
Instantaneously, a large chunk of the muddy water soon filled up the empty large crater. Once it was nearly three-fourths of being filled, the muddy water in the circumference that Xu Feng wanted had been drained.
However, that wasn't the end of it.
"Alright, Iceheart, swing your big sword again toward the path of Ardent Lance and Shadow Blade." He instructed, his intention being made clear.
With a disgruntled expression, Iceheart did as followed, and soon caused a ripple effect of the muddy water.
"Everyone look at me!" Xu Feng then announced.
Based on instinct, everyone turned to him, only to end up getting hit with his skill, Blinding Strike.
"Whoops, wrong skill." Xu Feng acted innocently as he claimed to use the wrong skill to blind them, but in reality, he had summoned Flint out from the Pet Space.
"Molten Breath." Xu Feng murmured and pointed at the raging stream of muddy water up ahead.
Swiftly, Flint did as told, forcefully burning the debris and creating an artificial mini-dam that blocked off any excess muddy water from entering the circumference area.
Once that was done, Xu Feng placed Flint back in the Pet Space.
This action was done in under 5 seconds. By the time the rest regained their vision from getting blinded earlier, most were dumbfounded by the scene.
"What skill did the Raid Leader use?" Ardent Lance had to rub his eyes thrice to ensure he wasn't seeing things.
"Is he really a Cleric?" SilentWhisper furrowed her brows, finding it baffling that Xu Feng was capable of such action.
"Why am I not even surprised?" Contrary to most people's perplexment, Carmen found the scene not surprising at all. It was as if she had been programmed in her mind that any ridiculous scene would become possible under Xu Feng's actions. Enjoy new tales from My Virtual Library Empire
"Are we supposed to be surprised?" Veronica asked from the side, unsure of how she should react.
For someone who was still relatively new in the Divine World, she didn't recognize just how amazing the feat was.
"Nope, not at all. Those people just hadn't seen much of the world." Carmen flatly responded.
While the rest were discussing what happened during their momentary blindness, Xu Feng hopped toward the empty land that had been drained of the muddy water and began inspecting the engraving.
'Damn, so it really is this type of layout.' Xu Feng frowned now that he could basically confirm his deduction was true.
