Chapter 529: Reinforcement
Brian's mind was spiraling out of control.
In the first instance, his 40 or so subordinates were slain by a swirling axe.
Then in the second instance when he no longer dared to underestimate Xu Feng and ordered his subordinates to fire everything they got, more than 60 plus subordinates were shot down.
From the start to the present time, Xu Feng had yet to properly signal or do anything in response to his orders.
Despite this, the one who continuously suffered a loss was him and he still failed to comprehend who the sneak attacker was— no attackers were.
Brian was at least positive about one thing: there was actually more than one person lurking in the scene.
The first attacker's weapon was an axe, and the second attacker's weapon should be some guns with artillery range and sub-machine type fire rate.
After all, the bullets came from afar and were insanely fast. To put the cherry on the topping, the precision of the shot was also next level. There was not a single missed bullet that was fired by the enemy.
The enemy had efficiently and effectively used their entire magazine to the maximum value.
'How is such a sharpshooter siding with Lin Feng? Just what is his background?' Brian had thoroughly read the report revolving around Xu Feng despite his earlier trash talk. And nothing in the report mentioned Xu Feng had a sharpshooter on his side.
"Why are you acting so confused, Mister Brian?" Xu Feng took the time to ask him gently. "You said fire with everything you got, and that happened. Were you not ordering them to fire among themselves?"
"..."
Brian was rendered speechless by the shameless manner of Xu Feng.
As for those standing behind Xu Feng, they couldn't help but giggle at his usual venomous words. Even Iceheart was no longer immune to his venomous words against the enemy and broke off the cold side of her face.
She giggled uncontrollably and nearly dropped her Claymore Sword in the process.
Who else, but Xu Feng could ask such a question to Brian? Standing behind Brian was the behemoth Lethal Finance.
Not many could even look eye to eye with them, but Xu Feng not only did that, he also went ahead and teased the crap out of Brian.
"Do you have any more hidden people that could do the same?" Brian sighed and pointed at the back of his people, asking if there were more surprises that he needed to watch out for.
"Hmm, that question of yours would cost a bit of money." Xu Feng chuckled softly.
"How much?"
"At least half a million dollars, right? I'm sure your minimum paycheck is way above that and I should get some for answering your sensitive question."
"Bank account number."
"Oh, I don't do that kind of transaction." Xu Feng mused and shook his finger. "Send the money straight to the stream using your name and it'll be done."
Since Brian hailed from Lethal Finance, giving out his bank account number was equivalent to exposing his real identity. This was also the main reason why Xu Feng did something back when he went to the Global Trust Bank (GTB).
It was to prevent something like this from occurring. Additionally, the streaming was directly linked with the Divine World System, meaning once transferred, it cannot be traced whatsoever.
Of course, such a transaction could easily be used for criminal activities, but the Divine World System was like an impenetrable overseer. The methods remained unknown to the public and private, but any criminal activities are always somehow detected by the Divine World System, effectively banning them altogether.
However, this only remained true for the Divine World. As for the previous VRMMORPG, the system wasn't that omnipotent, causing cyber crime enforcers a ton of headaches.
Meanwhile, Brian was decisive enough to instantly transfer a large sum to the stream.
"I've sent the money." Brian flatly said. Not a trace of heartache or bitterness could be sensed from his tone.
Heartache for the loss of money? That wasn't even considered any money to him.
Bitterness in failing to trap Xu Feng to give out his bank account? It was whatever since Brian merely tested his luck to see if Xu Feng would be careless enough to slip up.
He wasn't actually having high hopes of Xu Feng actually committing such a noob mistake.
With the money transferred, Xu Feng turned to OneManMedia, who nodded in response.
"Wow, as expected of a rich worker." Xu Feng clapped his hands and praised. "Had I known you were that decisive, I would have asked for more."
"Then I would have retreated. Being wealthy doesn't mean spending recklessly. Any more than half a million then I might as well not know the answer." Brian responded honestly.
"Now that you've confirmed the transaction, are you going to answer me honestly or give a lie?" He continued, clearly wanting to see the integrity of Xu Feng.
Chuckling, Xu Feng was about to answer but paused for a moment.
"Oh, not even going to bother to lie?" Mistakenly believing that Xu Feng was going to conceal the matter, Brian remained nonchalant at the possibility of being scammed.
"No, it's just that I forgot what your question was again." Xu Feng shrugged and mused, "Goldfish memory here."
Unamused, Brian responded, "I asked if you have any more other players hidden that could deal such disgustingly high damage to my subordinates?"
"Ah, right." Nodding Xu Feng chuckled, "Will you be afraid of the truth?"
"JUST ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION!" Finally, Brian burst out in rage when Xu Feng repeatedly stalled and tried to toy around with him.
After being calm for a long time, Xu Feng finally burst his bubble, which caused him to lose his composure.

"Alright, relax yourself." Xu Feng raised his hand and continued, "I do have a lot of reinforcement gathered around here and you've been surrounded all along. Your so-called barricades are laughable to even believe they could detect or spot them."
