Rise of the Rejected Deity from Chaos

Chapter 204: Seiya Joining the Battle?

Denga's face twisted with ire, the skin between his brows wrinkled in confusion.

"What did you do?!" He spat with a sneer, crouching to wipe off the blood string off his ankle.

The tiny string of blood binding his ankle, however, seemed like it had been made of permanent ink, hence Denga wasn't able to wipe it off.

Chuckling softly, the captain responded. "Why don't you see for yourself what I've done? Try using your ability."

Still annoyed, Denga extended his hand, calling over the limbs of a Humanity Savior. But, after minutes of waiting for his call to be heeded as usual, nothing happened.

Denga's face twisted more in anger, his head snapping toward the captain—eyes bloodshot.

"Don't tell me," he heaved, nervous fear already shunning his system. "Did you steal my powers?"

Another soft chuckle escaped the captain, Denga's worried fear an entertainment to him. Since the beginning of the fight, it had been the other way around—the demons toying with them. Now it's the opposite.

"Before you conclude, why don't you try using your power on your allies?" The captain asked, his tone laced with a bit of tease.

Angered, but desperate about his powers, Denga used his powers on the monsters instead of his allies.

"Come," he called, and the head of an orc instantly detached from its body, spraying blood as it flew toward Denga.

Denga let the head drop before him on the ground, his eyes glued to it—his mind reeling to piece things together.

"I have merely binded your powers," the captain's voice cut through. "Or to put it simply, I have nullified your powers against us. You cannot use your ability against any of us bearing my mark."

As comprehension finally caught up to Denga, his eyes darted here and there, noting the same blood strings binding the ankles of the Humanity Saviors whose legs were exposed.

A smirk played on Denga's lips as his eyes returned to the captain. "You really see us as some easy targets."

Without another word and no hesitation, Denga grabbed a sword from the array of weapons that was aloft around him, his smirk stretching wider.

As everyone wondered what he would do with the sword, Denga flashed them a toothy smile—and in one swift breath, he sliced down on his leg, cleaving off his ankle that was bound with the string of blood.

"How about that?" He quipped, his voice taunting. "I simply have to remove the mark from myself and things will fall back in place," he cackled confidently.

Denga's stump started to regrow anew, but as it did, the string of blood binding his severed leg shimmered into existence in his new grown leg—wiping the smirk off his face.

"What is this?" He asked, his expression dark with incomprehension.

"What? You simply have to remove the mark?" The captain asked, sarcastic. "Good luck with that cause only the caster can nullify it. I wonder how many of your limbs you'll cut off haha."

Bulging veins pulsed across Denga's face, feeling insulted. But in the next minute, he put his feelings in check.

"What if I can't remove the mark?" he asked, a slow grin spreading across his face. "Am I the only one here capable of putting you all in your place? Just look at them." He gestured toward the other two demons, whose grins mirrored his with growing delight.

"Of course we are well aware," the captain responded, matching their cheeky expressions. "It's just a plus for us having tackled one problem, isn't it? Unless you're well experienced in hand to hand combat."

"But even then, victory is still on our side," the commander added.

"Shall we see then?" Denga said, getting into a fighting stance. "Let's start the fight!" He announced and everyone, including the two demons, headed into the battle.

But as they ran towards one another, preparing to clash, a calm voice cut through the battle noise, commanding them to wait.

Earlier…..

Inside the barrier Seiya had erected, he stood facing forward, watching the ongoing fight between the demons, monsters and the Humanity Saviors.

From behind where the villagers huddled, a gasp rippled from a woman, her knees crashing to the veranda ground. Her hands flew to her mouth to muffle her skeptic gasps, her shoulders rising and falling as she heaved in panic.

The other villagers gathered around her, asking her what the matter was and trying to calm her down.

Even though Seiya was present, he didn't turn nor bother himself with the situation, he simply kept silent, focusing on the fight happening outside.

Since he could already see all round with his eyes, he saw no use in turning to address the distressed woman.

Apparently, one of the woman's sons had been left outside. They were all working when Seiya and the association arrived, and she had sent him toward the temple for some work.

Due to the situation, they had all gotten so distressed that they had forgotten him for a moment. Only after Seiya erected the barrier did they remember they were missing someone.

Seiya, however, already knew this. He could, after all, see through the whole village. And he could hear the heart pulsations of every living thing within a certain radius—so he knew.

He just didn't bother himself with it.

The woman desperately scraped her knees across the ground toward Seiya, panic stricken.

"My Lord," she cried, her voice quivering. "My son, out there…please."

She feared the monsters and demons would find him—and kill him. The thought of her son facing danger while she remained safe gnawed at her sanity, driving her to the edge of reason.

She couldn't help but cry desperately to Seiya for help.

Irritated by her pleas and cries, Seiya had to resolve the issue.

"Just keep quiet," he chided, exiting the barrier.

Current time….

Seiya came out the barrier, asking everyone fighting to stop. They halted mid-steps, turning to face Seiya who had dared interrupted the fight and passed a command.

Calm and unbothered, Seiya casually walked into the battle, strolling past the blood and monster corpses on the ground.

Surprised and speechless at Seiya's audacious act, both the Humanity Saviors and the demons couldn't find their tongues for a minute.

But as Seiya nonchalantly strolled his way through, one of the orcs who paid no heed to his command, shot forward, his sickle raised to descend on Seiya.

Seiya immediately halted his steps, turning swiftly to face the monster.

The air around him darkened, his gaze intense as he peered up at the demon. "What are you doing?" He asked, his voice thick with rage and heavy with indignation.
