Chapter 3: A New Beginning
"Is this going to make me strong?" he mutters, feeling disbelief toward the system.
But he had no choice; he still decided to do it. Before starting, he ate breakfast—a sandwich full of meat. His eyes fill with tears of joy as he softly chews it in his mouth.
*Munch*Munch*
His body feels in good condition and lighter now after eating breakfast.
"Let's start!" he shouts, full of motivation.
He starts stretching his body for a few minutes before heading out for a 10 km run through the city. Once he finishes stretching, he immediately begins running, controlling his breathing by inhaling through his nose instead of his mouth.
Breathing through the nose is more efficient because it allows the air to be filtered, warmed, and humidified before reaching the lungs, which helps protect your respiratory system.
And when he finishes his run, he starts 100 push-ups in the park.
At the end of his workout, he rests for a minute and drinks some cold, fresh water. The cold water flows down his throat, refreshing him.
He finally completed the daily quest, and new notifications appeared in front of him.
[You Have Completed The Daily Quest][You Received A Reward]
He immediately accepts the reward, and another text appears in front of him.
Reward 1: Five Additional Stat Points
Reward 2: Full Recovery
[Would you like to collect them all?]
Since he had been tired from running through the city like a dog, he immediately accepted the reward. His stamina is restored, and he receives the stat points.
After receiving the rewards, he rests for a few seconds on the ground, catching his breath and relaxing his body. His jacket is soaked with sweat from the intense workout.
When he comes back home, he goes to the bathroom and cleans his body to relax his muscles.
After cleaning his body, he quickly heads to his room and sits on his bed. A few seconds later, he opens his computer and searches for clues about the key he found.
Typing on his keyboard:
[What happens when you find the key in the dungeon.]
[What is this key all about.]
As he browses through the computer, all he finds are vague pieces of information. He rests his head in the corner of the chair and sighs, feeling disappointed. He then opens the screen to check his status.
[System Status Window]

He received five points from the daily quest and pondered where he should put them. After a few minutes, he chose to invest them in his IQ, aiming to sharpen his mind and improve his strategic thinking. As soon as the points were added, he immediately felt more focused and clear-headed.
Intelligence: 7 [+5]
A week passed, and he continued to grow every day, adding his points. His strength increased significantly within that time, and his daily quests became easy for him.
After his work in mining, he thought that he could now enter the dungeon by himself. Since he had a stone that could bring him back outside if anything happened, he felt more confident in taking the risk.
"Now, let's see how strong I've become," Ares said, staring at his clenched fist.

He used the key, rotating it to the right, and a blue portal appeared in the train passage. However, he was the only one who could see it. As he gazed at the passage, the people around him couldn't see the portal at all, and he went to it.
.....
He stepped into the portal, and once inside, he saw different types of goblins—a fighter, a marksman, and a mage casting a spell barrier.
The quest appeared on the screen, instructing him to kill goblins.
[You Have To Kill 10 Goblins][0/10][Goblin Level 5]
Each goblin will grant him 500 EXP, double the amount he earned when facing a wolf. Unlike the wolves, this is more challenging and difficult.
He took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. The goblins were usually not too difficult, but he knew he couldn't underestimate them—he couldn't afford to make a mistake because one mistake could put his life in danger.
He pulled out his dagger, and he held it tightly, gazing at the goblins' movements.
With his strength boosted, instincts sharpened, and IQ heightened, Ares felt more prepared. "Now, it's time to attack,".
"Come on, monster!" Ares exclaimed, dashing toward the goblin.
He started with the mage, who was supporting the others. Avoiding the attacks coming toward him, he rushed in, his steel dagger aimed directly at the goblin's throat. In an instant, he killed it before the mage could react. It was a swift kill, just as Ares had planned, and the system rang, confirming the goblin mage's death.
[You Have Killed The Mage Goblin]
Ares stood over the fallen goblin mage, his dagger still dripping with its blood. As the others charged at him, he smirked because he had an advantage when he faced them in close combat.
Without hesitation, Ares quickly dashed toward the nearest archer. The bowstring was pulled, and an arrow whizzed past him, narrowly missing his shoulder. As the archer pulled another arrow, Ares closed the distance, delivering a swift, precise strike. He pierced the archer's throat, silencing it forever.
"Die monsters," Ares said, chopping the archer goblin's body. The fighter and the remaining goblin stared at him, unable to move forward. Hesitant and unsure whether to advance, their fear was evident. His quick and brutal kills had shaken them, leaving them frozen in fear.
Ares taunted them, and the goblin fighter, shaking off their doubt, charged at him. Ares easily dodged each of their attacks, taking them down one by one with precise strikes. He quickly slaughtered them, swiftly reducing their numbers. Within thirty minutes, the goblins were completely wiped out.
The notification rang, confirming that the quest was complete.

[You Have Killed All The Goblins][You Have Gained Experience]
After defeating the goblins, Ares receives a rare drop:
[You Obtain Goblin's Talisman of Swift Foot]
- Grade: Rare
- Effect: Increases the wearer's movement speed by 15% and reduces stamina consumption during combat.
This item can help Ares move quickly in battle. He immediately wore it, and his movement speed increased.
"Cool," he said, staring at his feet. His eyes glinted, amazed at what he had just obtained.
After the intense battle, he leveled up, and the notification rang again.

He received 20 remaining points and opened his status page.

This time, he spent 5 points on his sense stat without hesitation. He immediately felt the shift as his senses sharpened, widening to a 5-meter radius. He could hear the faintest movement of air. With the 5 points, he boosted his agility further, feeling the power surging through him.
He put all 10 points into strength, thinking he needed to grow stronger as fast as possible. If he was going to face stronger enemies, he would need to hit harder.
After that, he felt his strength increase. His body glowed for a few seconds as he fully absorbed the power he had gained.
After that battle, he immediately decided to leave the dungeon. He didn't plan to go deeper for now, as he still lacked the strength. Maybe someday, he would be ready. He used the stone to teleport himself back to the outside and decided to treat himself to a bowl of ramen, as he had been craving it all day.
