Chapter 322: Conflict between Magic Academies
'Maybe I should keep an eye on her first and not trust her too much. If some of her information is true, then I'll help her,' Aaron's clone said.
"Tell me, what do you know?" asked Aaron.
Mirena explained what the Golden Cross was and when they moved. From Mirena's words, Aaron was able to get some new information that was relevant to the information from the history book in Jackson's study.
"There's another reason why the Golden Cross became a criminal group. It's because they do human trafficking and slavery, as well as prostitution," Mirena replied.
"What caused them to arrest your parents?" Aaron asked.
"I can't explain it here. I'm afraid there are students affiliated with the Golden Cross," Mirena replied.
Although the academy's main library was quite deserted by visitors, but the possibility remained due to Aaron and Mirena's ignorance of Golden Cross spies.
He didn't want to take any more risks, especially since Mirena was holding an important gem that was being hunted by them. The only safe place for them to talk was in another dimension.
Aaron summoned purple magic in his right hand, then tore through the dimensional boundary and revealed a dimensional crack. The easy appearance of another dimension by Aaron was enough to startle Mirena.
"We can talk inside," Aaron replied.
"But I can't leave the classroom. I have a test coming up," Mirena said.
The man was silent, after all, his education was far more important than Aaron's ambitions. Aaron could wait until class was over in the afternoon. However, just in case, he would instill protective magic on Mirena.
Aaron raised a small magic ball above his palm, then let the magic ball enter Mirena's body through her forehead. In an instant, Mirena's body glowed purple briefly and the girl felt that her body was so light.
"What are you doing to me?" asked Mirena.
"I implanted protective magic on your body. You don't have to worry, no one will be able to kill you under the Integrity Knight mage tier," Aaron replied.
"Integrity Knight? Wait! You're in the Integrity Knight mage tier?"
Not replying to Mirena's words, Aaron closed the dimensional crack again by simply clenching his fist.
Now, the crack shrank and disappeared, returning the situation in the academy's main library room to normal.
"Go to your class. If class is over, meet me in Instructor Jackson's office. I'll wait for you there," Aaron replied.
Mirena smiled widely, then nodded in agreement to what Aaron said. Mirena said goodbye, stepping out of the academy library back to her class.
Aaron did the same, but his destination was not class, but Jackson's study. According to him, that place was the best choice for Aaron to wait for Mirena.
Elsewhere, the clones began to blend into the neighborhood. Those assigned to the five unions began to seek information about the situation there and the relationship of the unions with each other.
All the information they got was sent directly to Aaron's original body on Fair Isle. Aaron was still sitting in the lotus position while absorbing natural energy, focused on letting his 10 clones work to find his mother's whereabouts and find out the situation on Earth.
Arriving at Jackson's office, Aaron returned to rest while sitting on the couch in the room. Occasionally, there were some instructors who came to drop off files, they were surprised by the presence of the mysterious man in Jackson's study.
Even so, they did not dare to ask further questions. They just came, put away the files, and left the room.
As time went on, Aaron met up with Jackson during the lunch break. Jackson gasped, not used to Aaron's sudden appearance.
"How was it? Did you get the information you needed?" Jackson asked.
"Yes, not through books, but through someone," Aaron replied.
"Really? Who is he?" asked Jackson.
"I can't tell you. I'll tell you everything later after my business is done," explained Aaron.
Jackson understood, he thought that maybe the information was too sensitive and could jeopardize that person's safety. It was better for Jackson to stay out of it and let Aaron handle it directly.
"I see. So, what's your plan?" asked Jackson.
"I'm going to get as much information out of her as possible. Once I know a few things, I'll start acting," Aaron replied.
"Be careful, the Golden Cross is really sneaky, they've killed a lot of mages in recent years," said Jackson, Aaron cleared his throat in agreement.
He didn't know how difficult the conflict on Earth was compared to the Dark Pillar Tower. However, because of his experience and mage tier, Aaron had nothing to worry about.
While Aaron was talking with Jackson, Aaron's eyes narrowed when his magic aura detected a group of mages flying outside, not from the London Academy of Magic.
"Someone's coming," Aaron replied.
Jackson realized it too, albeit 10 seconds later than Aaron. He opened the window and saw seven mages wearing red uniforms, from the Liverpool Magic Academy.
"There they are," said Jackson.
"Who?" asked Aaron, coming closer to Jackson.
"The elders of the Liverpool Magic Academy. We don't have a good relationship with them," said Jackson.
"Did they come with a specific purpose?" asked Jackson, curious.
"From their responses, I'm sure that their arrival at the London Academy of Magic is not good news," Aaron replied.
Responding to the appearance of the seven mage elders from the other academies, three elders from the London Academy of Magic appeared and flew in the sky. They came to welcome the presence of the people from Liverpool.
"In terms of quality, the London Magic Academy has declined in recent years. This has led to fewer academy graduates wanting to study at the Euronion Institute of Magic," Jackson replied.
"The fewer who want to study at the magic institute, the fewer academy elders we have," Jackson explained.
"I don't know about that."
One of the seven elders who came explained that their academy students were beaten and humiliated by students from the London Academy of Magic. The incident happened at the Earth Core Tower, which was quite ridiculous.
"Anything that happens in the Earth Core Tower should be settled there, there's no need to bring this matter to the surface," said the London Academy of Magic elder.
"We lost track of it. That's why we chose to come here," they replied.
"This matter won't end well, especially since your elders are low tier mages," Aaron explained.
"But you don't need to worry. As long as I'm here, they won't be able to get close."
