Chapter 48: Semblance
Oscar blocked a punch by Yang, as her fist made contact with Jaune, her hair being a bit on fire as Oscar then sweep her leg, as she falls to balance, as then she gut back up as tryed to hit with ehe weapon, as Oscar then moved out of the way, as the Oscar punched her in the gut, as she staggered back, as she stopped and looked at as her Semblance active, as she punched Oscar sending him to the wall, as it broke a bit.
Yang looked a bit worried. "Oh shit".
Oscar just slides down, his Aura taking 100% of the damage, plus he didn't get much damage from her
Ding!

Oscar then got up, as Ruby helped him up. "Don't worry Yang I am good".
Weiss looked at as she spoke. "Are you sure the wall looks cracked".
Oscar just fixed him self as he looked around rrh training room. "Yeah I am fine, so Yang your semblance is all about taking damage right".
Yang walked up to him as she spoke. "Yeah why".
Oscar looked at her as he spoke. "Have you ever thought of storing set Damge".
Yang tilted her head, liking where Oscar was going. "Go on farm Boy".
Oscar looker at her as he explained. "Just you know random danger that you get in day, like Ruby through a pillow at, something in the Cafitaria hiring you, or anything like you hitting you head, why don't you activate your Semblance only for a split second and then you can store, so you don't have to mangle your body much".
Yang looked at Oscar, a little surprised by the suggestion. "So, you're saying that if I just store the damage for a short period, I won't feel it as much later?"
Oscar nodded. "Exactly. Your Semblance already helps you absorb damage and then use it to power your attacks. But if you just take a moment to store the damage without immediately using it, it might make things easier for you. You can still keep your combat style, but you won't have to take as much of a physical toll."
Yang chuckled, rubbing the back of her head. "That... actually sounds pretty useful. So, you're telling me to be a little more strategic with my Semblance, huh?"
Oscar grinned. "Yeah, something like that."
Ruby, who had been listening intently, jumped in. "Sounds like you just need a little more control over it, Yang! If you manage that, you'll be unstoppable!"
Yang gave a smirk. "Alright, farm boy, I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip!"
Oscar's grin faded a little as he turned to the rest of the group. "It's all about using your Semblance strategically. That's why knowing your limits and potential is key to growing stronger."
Weiss raised an eyebrow. "That's actually some solid advice. I guess I could use a bit of that as well, considering how much energy I use with my Glyphs and Dust."
"Yeah, every Semblance has its strengths and weaknesses," Oscar added. "It's all about figuring out what works best for you."
Yang stretched, preparing herself for another round. "Alright, then. Time to see if I can get a better handle on this!"
Oscar stepped back, preparing himself for the next sparring session. "Let's see what you've got then."
The rest of the group watched with interest as Oscar and Yang continued to spar, both pushing themselves to better understand their own powers, and growing stronger with every move. The lessons were more than just about physical strength; they were about finding new ways to utilize the tools at their disposal and becoming better teammates along the way.
Later that evening, the group gathered in the common room to talk more about their Semblances and what they had learned from the training session.
Ruby sat beside Oscar, her legs crossed. "You were right, Oscar. Yang was able to do a lot more once she controlled her Semblance a bit better. Maybe I should try that with mine too."
Oscar smiled. "It's all about experimenting and finding what works. Semblances are all different, but they all have potential."
Weiss nodded. "Agreed. And I think I'll try experimenting with my Glyphs in combat. There's probably more I can do than just creating platforms."
Blake was quiet for a moment, then spoke up. "I think... my Semblance works best when I'm not overthinking it. I tend to rely on my agility too much, but if I focus on maintaining a steady balance, I can move more effectively."
Oscar raised an eyebrow. "That sounds like a good idea. Keeping a balance is important with any power."
As the night progressed, the conversation shifted from their Semblances to their goals and how they could help each other improve. They all had their unique abilities, but the real strength was in how they learned to support one another.
Later in the middle of the night, as the rest of Team ROWBY was a sleep, Yang woke up in blush, as she went to balcony as she almost screams.
Weiss holder her head with red cheeks. "Why did I have dream about Oscar and why it so... Sexy".
"I am sorry what".
She turned her head too see Blake. Blake just blinked looking at her. "Not the first thing I expect to hear after coming out of the washroom".
Weiss looked at her, as her blush was more red. "Why, just why did you have hear".
Blake looked at her as she spoke. "I say try to cawm down, the four of us like him, and we decided it is up to us to win".
Weiss just sigehd as she just looked at him. "Yes I know, and the four of us agreed, what happens happens, Yang's words".
Yang had also woke up, as she came to join them.
Yang, who had been quietly standing outside on the balcony, couldn't help but overhear the conversation. Her cheeks were still flushed, and she walked back into the room with a soft chuckle, clearly amused by the situation.
"Hey, what can I say?" Yang shrugged, her grin wide. "I'm just speaking the truth. You all know how things are between us and Oscar. We just need to figure out how we're going to deal with it. No harm in trying, right?"
Weiss let out a sigh, her embarrassment still evident on her face. "I just... can't believe this is happening. How did we even get here? I swear, I never thought I'd be thinking about... that."
Blake, still standing with her arms folded, shot Weiss a look. "It's not that surprising, really. Oscar's not just a farm boy, he's... something special. We all know it."
Weiss finally turned toward Yang and Blake, the blush on her face softening into a knowing smile. "I guess you're right. It's just... going to be complicated, isn't it?"
Yang leaned against the wall, crossing her arms with a confident grin. "Complicated or not, we'll figure it out. We're Team RWBY, after all. We handle things together."
Blake nodded, a subtle smirk on her face. "And we'll take it one step at a time. No need to rush."
Weiss gave a small sigh, her expression softening. "Alright, alright. I guess I can't be too upset about it. But it'll be weird, huh?"
Yang chuckled lightly, tapping her fist against her palm. "Definitely. But I'm ready for whatever happens."
With the tension between them easing, the three girls fell silent, each lost in their own thoughts, contemplating what this new dynamic between them and Oscar might mean. The night was still young, but sleep didn't come easy with so much on their minds.
Yang then looked at Weiss. "So what was the dream about, you said it was 'SEXY', so care to initiate us".
Weiss's face immediately turned a deeper shade of red, and she quickly turned her back to Yang, clearly embarrassed. "I-I'm not going to talk about it!" she stammered, her voice unsteady. "It was just a weird dream, okay? Nothing more, nothing less!"
Yang raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying teasing Weiss. "Oh, come on, Weiss. You can't just drop a bomb like that and not share any details."
Blake, leaning against the doorframe, gave Weiss a sympathetic but amused look. "I think Weiss is trying to avoid a very awkward conversation. Let her off the hook for now."
Weiss huffed, crossing her arms in front of her chest, but the slight smile tugging at the corners of her lips showed she wasn't as upset as she was pretending. "It's not like I want to tell you two anything! It was just a dream, and that's all I'm going to say!"
Yang snickered, nudging Blake with her elbow. "You think she's going to crack and spill eventually?"
Blake shrugged, a small smirk on her face. "Only time will tell."
Weiss groaned, facepalming as she tried to escape the teasing. "Please, not this again. Can we just sleep? We've all had weird dreams before."
Yang stepped forward, giving Weiss a playful poke. "Alright, alright. But if you change your mind, you know where to find us."
Blake chuckled, turning toward her bed. "Good night, Weiss. Just remember: no shame in a little... fantasy."
Weiss muttered under her breath, "I'll get you both back for this..."
With that, the room quieted down, and despite the playful teasing, the girls were able to settle down for the night, the tension from their earlier conversation slowly fading into the quiet of Beacon Academy's dormitory.
The night was still, the only sounds being the soft rustle of the sheets and the occasional creak of the wooden beams as the building settled. Despite the teasing, Weiss couldn't shake the thoughts from her mind. She stared up at the ceiling, her thoughts drifting back to the dream she had—one she hadn't expected and one she certainly wasn't ready to discuss with anyone, least of all her team. Her face still felt hot from the memory of it.
Meanwhile, Yang, though clearly amused by Weiss's discomfort, also found herself thinking about the strange tension that had cropped up between the four of them lately. Things had definitely changed over the past few weeks. Whether it was their mission together, their growing bond as teammates, or something else entirely, she wasn't quite sure—but she did know one thing: she wasn't the only one noticing it. And she couldn't help but wonder if Weiss's dream was some indication of where things were headed.
Blake, lying on her side, seemed to sense the shift in the air as well. She wasn't one to openly talk about feelings, but it wasn't hard to read between the lines. She could feel the way the others sometimes looked at Oscar now. Sometimes it felt like the dynamic between them was evolving into something different, something more complicated than it had been before. Blake wasn't sure what to make of it yet, but it seemed inevitable—there was no way to deny the growing attraction they all felt.
She sighed, pulling the blanket a little tighter around her, her thoughts drifting to Oscar. Ever since he had become part of their team, he'd grown in ways none of them had expected. His strength, his skills, and his ability to take on so much responsibility… she admired that about him, more than she was willing to admit. He was quiet, often lost in his own thoughts, but there was something about him that made it hard not to notice him, even from the shadows.
Back in the room, Weiss was still lying awake, staring at the ceiling. Her heart raced slightly as she thought back to what she'd dreamed about. It wasn't just a dream—it was vivid, detailed, and unlike anything she had experienced before. The emotions, the feelings—she couldn't shake them. And the person in the dream? Oscar. Why Oscar? Why did it feel so real, so natural? She turned over, pulling the covers tightly around herself as if that could somehow shield her from the confusing feelings.
Yang, sensing the mood had shifted, gave a soft chuckle to herself. She could be playful, but she also knew when to back off. Sometimes the best way to let Weiss handle her own emotions was to leave her to it. She rolled over onto her side, already half asleep. But before she drifted off, her mind wandered back to Oscar—how capable he was, how much he had grown in such a short time. Could the four of them really figure things out? Could they all reconcile their feelings without things getting messy? For a moment, she wasn't so sure.
Blake shifted a little, closing her eyes, letting the silence wash over her. She knew things weren't going to stay simple forever. They had all grown close over the past few months, but emotions were tricky. Her thoughts on Oscar were still too new, too unformed for her to really know what to do with them.
Outside, the moonlight filtered softly through the window, casting a peaceful glow over the room. As the minutes passed, sleep slowly overtook them, and despite the whirlwind of thoughts still swirling in their minds, the quiet of the night wrapped around them like a comforting embrace.
Tomorrow would bring a new set of challenges—more training, more missions, and likely more questions about their growing bonds. But for now, they could all rest, each with their own thoughts, their own dreams, and the unspoken understanding that things were changing. Just not yet in a way they were ready to fully face.
