SDS: Template System In Marvel

"Dean...Dean...DEAN!!!" Grace said, shouting at the end.

"Huh? What'd you say?" I asked brought out of my distraction of what I was seeing in front of me.

"I was calling your name for a very long time." Grace grumbled.

"It was about a minute." My dad added as we both knew she was exaggerating.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought. What'd you need Gracie?" I replied.

"Nevermind!.....it's just Grace" grace replied, grumbling the last part.

We talked for a few more minutes as we ate and as it was a Saturday, I didn't have school, so after breakfast I went up to my room to start to go over my discovery.

'Okay you said you were called the SDS Template System?' I asked in my mind as I didn't want to sound like a crazy person if Grace was to hear me talking to myself.

[Yes, Host.]

This time I heard a feminine voice as well as seeing the system message, it seemed as if as long as she was speaking directly to me, I'd hear her voice as I didn't hear anything when I first saw the system messages.

'Alright. Now that I have confirmed that we can communicate telepathically, are you able to display like a stats page or something?' I questioned, deciding to gloss over the fact that I heard her voice.

'Hmm, my stats are not bad for a kid my age' I thought to myself before a question appeared in my head.

'Hey, what are the average stats for a human as both a child and Star Athlete level?' I questioned the system.

[Host, the average stats for a human child are 10 in each stat and 100 in each physical stat for a peak Athlete, with around 200 in Intelligence for a professor, doctor, scholor, or scientists]

'Hmm, okay. What about my Intelligence stat, why is it so high?'

[Host, your Intelligence stat is so high due to the fact that you are mentally in your early 20s so you have a lot more knowledge than your physical 12 year old body]

'Ok, that makes sense. Then what about the Intelligence stat being so high for the professions you mentioned?' I questioned.

[Host, that is due to the fact that it is actually easier to increase your knowledge than it is your physical ability as there is a limit due to your human body]

'Ahh, I see. Okay then I think I only have one more question, what does SDS stand for?' I asked the system.

[Of course Host, the SDS in the SDS Template System stands for Seven Deadly Sins]

Seeing the system's answer I was curious.

'What form of Seven Deadly Sins, as there are many in different religions and in popular culture?' I asked as this could have easily been taking about some Christianity stuff or it could be those grotesque looking Sin beasts from the DC movie Shazam.

[Host, this pertains to what's called an anime in your world and the anime is called The Seven Deadly Sins]

"Holy shit, that anime had some seriously powerful characters in it" I exclaimed quietly as to not alert my sister.

'Is there a limit for the types of templates I can get?' I asked.

[Yes Host. Firstly, all template rolls are random and you are unable to recieve templates from any of the enemies that were shown in the show i.e... the Ten Commandments, nor any magical creatures. But any good/hero characters are available. Also, you will only be able to roll for another Template once you have reached 100% completion in your previous Template. Lastly, when you activate your Template, you can change your form to be the form of the character in the Template]

'Okay one last thing before I roll for my first Template. You don't need to call me Host all the time, it's annoying. You can just call me Dean. And can I change your name, I wouldn't want to have to refer to you as system.' I said.

[Very well Dean, and yes you may change my designation]

'Okay, I'll call you Oracle' I said

It was weird, but even though I knew it was a system, I could have sworn I felt her happy at her new name.

"Alright let's get started, roll my first Template." I said aloud as my excitement got the better of me.

Members of the Sins on my first roll, hell yeah!!" I exclaimed

"Wait, Oracle. What's with the template's percentage? And my stats?" I asked

[As a gift for your first Template, you received a percentage pack that increased your percentage by 5%. As for your stats, they are a result of your increased percentage. King has been shown to have increased Durability as he could take a lot of damage and still be able to fight back and you have received a portion of experiences of King who has lived for over 1300 years this has caused your Intelligence stat to increase]

'Thanks Oracle. Now I see the MP has a value now, that is due to me having access to magic now and that right?' I asked

[Yes, you can look at all your skills by saying or thinking skills to see the skills tab in the system]

[Levitation: King can levitate and fly at high speeds, and he can also use his mind to levitate objects and manipulate them telekinetically.

Transformation: King can change his appearance and clothing at will, but it takes a lot of concentration.

Longevity: Like all fairies, King doesn't age or get sick, and he can only die through external methods like murder.

I only got those three skills but they were already very powerful. Seeing the last skill made me do a double take.

I saw that my race had changed from human to Fairy.

'Huh, that must be due to merging with King's template'

'Hey Oracle does this mean i will grow wings?" I asked

[No, you will only have wings when you reach 100% completion of the template and when you are in your King form]

'Wait, am I in King's form right now' I questioned myself as I rushed over to the full length mirror I had in my room.

I then realized that I had inadvertently transformed into King. Oracle seeing my astonishment gave an explanation.

[Dean, when you first integrate with a template, you will transform into the character's form. After that, it will take simply a thought and you can transform back and forth at will]

'Oh, that makes sense, thanks Oracle' I replied as i transformed back into my original body.

[You're welcome Dean]

I wanted to test something so I had to make another request.

'Oracle, can I simplify my Status Page?'

[Yes, simply go to the options page and you should be able to make some changes]

I was glad that I was able to make changes and I decided to make my attributes located on a separate page similar to my skills so my status would simply be my template and its progress. Wanting to verify something after I transformed back into my original form and the changes I just made I opened my status page.
