Selling Cans from Naruto to Beyond

Chapter 68: 68: Stop After This Pull

Zabuza glanced at Haku, then at Shen Mo, who seemed all innocence.

His anger had nowhere to vent.

Shen Mo wasn't wrong—it did suit Haku.

But—

Not clarifying the consequences, hyping Bloodline Limits, it felt like the merchant set him up!

"You mentioned a way to break the contract," Zabuza said, clenching his fists, holding back, even using honorifics.

Turning female wasn't a big deal for ninjas.

Transformation Jutsu could do that.

But the issue was…

Transformation Jutsu was like a skin-deep illusion, fragile under heavy hits, with no internal change.

Now…

Zabuza felt female inside and out, nothing like Transformation Jutsu.

Ignoring the weirdness…

Such a magical item was mind-boggling, even for a ninja.

Zabuza sensed the otherworldly merchant's eerie power.

"Normally, contracted weapons can't be undone unless you die," Shen Mo said, eyeing the feminized Zabuza, speaking slowly. "But cans turn impossible into possible. Level 2 cans do have a rare item to break weapon contracts. Pull it, and you're free."

For the almighty System, crafting such an item was easy.

Shen Mo spoke truth.

Zabuza hesitated, but catching Haku's adoring, admiring gaze, he shivered.

"Open!"

She gritted her teeth, sitting down, her chest's jiggle driving her nuts.

"Kämpfer's effect can be toggled off," Shen Mo kindly noted.

It wasn't a permanent change. Hearing this, Zabuza deactivated it, losing the power but reverting to he.

So, never activate, never transform.

But the power's loss left a pang of regret.

It was damn strong gear.

If only Haku had it—a perfect trump card.

Keep opening cans!

Zabuza pinned hopes on pulling that contract-breaker.

Level 2 cans cost ten times Level 1, but their items' effects and value matched. The remaining seven cans yielded, beyond orbs, one weapon: speed-boosting wearable gear—a pair of shoes.

"Why women's!?" Zabuza, once burned, was wary.

"Wearables are gender-specific," Shen Mo said.

Could he admit these were for Haku?

"Haku, try them," Zabuza ordered.

Watching Haku zip around with uncanny grace, Zabuza's heart raced.

Just shoes.

"Wearable gear comes in types—shoes, tops, pants, bracers… Collect a set, and you unlock unique skills," Shen Mo said, fanning Zabuza's desire. "A full set can turn even a nobody into a real powerhouse!"

Gear collection—gaming's killer hook.

Especially for OCD.

Imagine grinding for most of a set, one piece shy of a suit with massive power boosts.

By then…

Every amount spent fuels more spending—only completing the set maximizes past investments.

Zabuza's heart buzzed with anticipation.

"Ten more!" he told Shen Mo.

Buying such strong weapons with cash? No loss.

Half his funds should do, he thought.

So, in that clearing, shouts echoed.

"Ten!" "Keep going!" "Ten more!" "Damn, why isn't this belt Forest Set?!" "Such epic swordplay—why incomplete?!" "Last batch!" "One more, really the last!"

Time blurred.

Haku suddenly stopped him.

"Lord Zabuza, we're down to 70 million."

Shen Mo had lifted the time freeze—its eerie stillness was rough on them. The sun set, night cloaking the forest. Zabuza's 2.5 billion dwindled to 70 million.

Beyond orbs, later pulls gave varied special gear.

Haku now…

Wore a pale green Forest Set, like a mountain sprite, hair tied back, revealing a delicate face. A jade-like longbow rested on his slim shoulders, looking extra cute.

It was women's gear.

His left wrist's ornate bracer stood out against his bare right.

"Your Forest Set's one bracer from complete!" Zabuza said, wavering, staring at Haku, panting. "My Earth Set's three pieces off, fine, but your last piece—once complete—unlocks wind buffs, boosting speed by half. That's a huge shot at killing the Mizukage!"

"What if we get duplicates?" Haku bit his lip, helpless.

Nearby lay Forest Set shoes, bracelets, tops, even other sets' weapons.

"Duplicates go to others!" Zabuza seemed set, turning to Shen Mo. "And didn't you say? Stronger desire, higher odds. It's true! Your Forest Set's twelve pieces! This last one's gotta drop. Pull it, and we're done!"

Twelve pieces, mixed across seven or eight sets.

Without boosted odds…

No way eleven came together.

Haku blushed, silent, as Zabuza opened most, yet his gear stacked highest.

"Ten more!" Zabuza told Shen Mo, yanking off his mouth's bandages, baring sharp teeth, irritated. "And after all these cans, why no contract-breaker item?"

That's what he wanted most.

"Those are rare, used less," Shen Mo said, almost regretful. "No pull? Your desire's lacking. Normal, though—first time's weird, but you'll get used to it."
