Shinji And The Multiverse Of Madness

Chapter 9: Introducing To The Crew

Turning their heads, they saw two people coming from the corridor:

One was a woman with a fair complexion, waist-length wavy red hair partially tied into a bun with golden rose ornaments, and eyes shining bright gold. Wearing a white, sleeveless toga gown dress, she strutted down the long hallway, sporting a classy feeling.

The other one was a tall, brown-eyed man, with a matching brown hair that had a small white streak sporting down one corner. Wearing a grey and white dress coat, he walked beside the red-haired woman, his scarf and black armour dangling along. His cane continuously tapped on the ground as he walked into the room, scanning the inhabitants that had survived the first assault of the Antimatter legion. As he gazed over the wounded crowd, his eyes landed on the three new additions...

And his eyes shrank in fear

Not missing the glare, Dr. Killinger and Shinji both took notice of it, but kept it quiet, for this was not the time for interrogation. The only one to notice it after them was Himiko, but she kept quiet, for the big bosses would probably not tell her, unless they deemed it so. "So little March, how's the situation? Seems to me that you lot have managed to solve the situation all by yourselves. I have already spoken to the owner of the space station, Madame Herta, and she's sending someone down here as we speak. In the meantime, why don't you introduce us to your new friends March?"

"Uh, they're not my friends. They're Stelle's..."

All looked towards Stelle. She, in turn, looked at the three.

"Mine name is Dr. Henry Killinger. My age and height are not important, nor is my favourite food (which is gyros by the way, it's very good). But what is important is what I do, unt my job is to show wayward people how to find their true purpose in life, whether being an engineer or a doctor, a businessman or a farmer...

A hero or a villain

Oh, and this is my Magic Murder Bag."

Raaaah, ruuuh, raaaaah...

At these ominous sounds, the group turned their heads, trying to find where on earth it was coming from. Seeing that they could not find it despite their persistent search, the next member stood out, introducing herself.

"Uhum! Hello, my name's Himiko Toga, and I'm the cutest girl in the world! I like to drink blood, blood, and more blood! Oh, but pomegranates also taste just as fine (though not by much). I also like to eat crepes, but only if they're red and filled with pomegranates, lots of them! Oh, and I also want to have lots of friends (and maybe a boyfriend)! Oh, that's right, will you be my friend...?"

Despite how creepy she looked with her big ear-to-ear smile while clasping her hands, they could not help but feel her to be very cute (in a very garish way). Perhaps she ain't so bad after all...

Quickly shaking their head, they turned to the last member, including Himiko, who still didn't know that much about Shinji. Seeing everyone stare at him, the blue-armoured warrior removed his helmet, revealing his scar-ridden face to the world.

"I am Shinji Matou, Captain of the 5th company of the Ultramarines, Son of Guilliman, wielder of ten Laurels of Victory. I have scoured through countless planets, standing firm against the threats of the alien, the mutant, and the heretic. My duty lays with the Emperor of Mankind, serving the Imperium of Man until my final days. I shall not rest until my duty is complete, nor when there are people to save...

For I am the shield that slay!"

At his bold introduction, Himeko and the rest could've sworn they saw traces of battles behind the old man-

Countless green-skinned monsters charging through the blood-filled earth, screaming "WAAAGH!"...

Dark women with elongated ears committing debauchery of all kinds, their ecstatic moans making the +18 books they've read look tame...

Bugs the sizes of skyscrapers launching acid attacks from their mouths, eating everything in their path...

Tall, hulking men, each over 3 m in height, carrying all sorts of weaponry, committing all sorts of atrocities with horrific Daemons of all kinds...

And standing at the forefront were men of all kinds, ranging from blue, to yellow, to red, all sporting the same symbol of a gaping skull, all crying the same thing...

"For the Emperor!..."

As they snapped back from their trance, they all realised that they were halfway to kneeling (with the exception of Stelle, Himiko and Killinger). Rising from the ground, deep veneration remained etched in their faces, the sight of the soldier in front reminding them of the horrors they face every living second. Just as they were about to ask him about who he served, a short pink-haired girl came running through the doorway, her staff clenched tightly in her hands.

"Is everyone alright?"
