That was all that was discussed in the preliminary meeting.

There were still many things that had to be discussed, but it wasn't as if everything could be compressed into a single meeting.

The only thing left now was for Elizabeth to meet with the representatives from the different races and the human race to discuss how things would be handled.

Of course, the ones that would be in charge of these meetings would be the four empires since they were the ones with the most authority here.

My part was finished after representing everyone in this meeting.

All that was left was to wait for these discussions to be over before heading back to the Kite Kingdom.

I might be interested in the matters of the demon territory, but it wasn't as if it was my priority. The most important thing for me right now was developing my own kingdom to make sure that we would be able to face the enemy that was approaching.

So I thought that I would have some free time during this time.

But it turned out that this wasn't the case.

It turned out that there were still people that had business with me.

I was surprised to hear that these people wanted to meet with me, but I was curious about what their intentions were that I agreed to meet with them.

But the way that they were treating me was as if they were putting me on a higher level. When I came back to my senses, I asked them, "Why are you acting this way? There's no need for you to do something like this, right?"

The representatives that were in front of me revealed strange smiles before saying, "There's no need to be modest. We all know what kind of power the Kite Kingdom has, the only thing that it's lacking now is prestige. If we join you as vassal kingdoms, then we're sure to receive rewards when the time comes."

I looked at them with an even stranger look after hearing this before slowly saying, "There's no guarantee of this. Are you sure that it is the right choice to do something like this?"

This time, they didn't answer me.

Instead, they just pulled out what seemed to be a few letters that they put on the table and slid over to me. After sliding these over, one of them said, "The prime minister of your kingdom said that as long as we show you this, you would understand our sincerity."

A bitter smile appeared on my face when I heard this.

The title of someone that I didn't expect appeared at this time.

I really didn't expect him to be involved in this matter.

Just what had he been doing while everyone had been fighting the demons?

Shaking my head and giving a sigh, I reached out to take the letters that they placed on the table.

When I read them, I couldn't help slightly knitting my brows.

I slowly looked up at the fellow kings that were in front of me, but all of them had serious looks on their faces. It didn't seem like any of them were going to go back on anything that they said.

That made me even more confused about what the prime minister had said to convince them all.

The only thing that was written in the letter that they passed me was...

"Take care of them. I'll leave it to you."

The writing itself made it clear that this was from the prime minister, but the way that he just dumped everything on me like this.

It was very obvious what he wanted me to do, but I just couldn't understand why he was doing this at this time.

By doing this, it would be as if declaring to the rest of the human race that we were expanding. Even if the war with the demons was over, it didn't seem like a good thing to do while the human race was recovering.

It might even put us on bad terms with the empires that we were close to...

So why was he doing this?

The more that I thought about it, the more confused I became.

I just couldn't see the same vision that the prime minister could, but I would never try to claim that I would be able to see everything that the prime minister could. The prime minister was a special NPC in the game and he was a special person in real life.

After a long silence, I slowly gave a nod while saying, "Alright, if you really want to become vassal kingdoms of our Kite Kingdom, then we can do that. I hope that you have already prepared for what will come because of this."

All of them immediately revealed wide smiles and gave firm nods before starting to thank me for this opportunity.

I really felt like I didn't deserve any of this, but still...since they were willing to do this, there was nothing that I could say.

A few vassal kingdoms wouldn't create that big of a stir.

Only that was where I was wrong.
