Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 554: 553: Calamity of The Queen's Last Song

Five days went by after Corey, Melissa, and Old Man Poison's escape from the Realm above the Eternal Waterfall. In these five days, the Shattered Sea and the city, Drennath, that was near the Shattered Sea experienced immense changes and dangers.

The first noticeable and massive change was the absence of the Eternal Waterfall. Nobody knew how or why the Eternal Waterfall which had remained there for as long as the history of their world could remember, would suddenly vanish.

The day after the Queen's song appeared abruptly, there were no changes to the Eternal Waterfall, but the following day, people began to notice that the size of the Eternal Waterfall was reducing.

Most did not take it seriously, believing that it was mainly their minds playing tricks on them. However, on the third day after the Song of The Queen, the size of the Eternal Waterfall was like the size of a normal waterfall, but compared to its past size, the current Eternal Waterfall was like a needle to its previous size.

At the end of the third day, there was no more Eternal Waterfall. It was like a divine being had close the faucet that was up in the sky.

The shock and disbelief that shook the hearts of those who witnessed this could not be described nor imagined. Fear blossomed in the hearts of many, but those who believed they had strength, and those who were brave and adventurous decided to group up into different teams so as to investigate the Shattered Sea and the disappearance of the Eternal Waterfall.

Ascendants, Dreadkeepers, and Tier 5 Outsiders like Azhrun, Kaeran, Lyra and Mira Neryss, led these groups. Three Ascendants, twelve Dreadkeepers, and seven Tier 5 Outsiders partook in the investigations of the Shattered Sea. It was a force that was rarely seen in the Shattered Sea.

For most Tainteds and even Outsiders, they were seeing Ascendants and Dreadkeepers for the first time, and the sight of so many Ascendants and Dreadkeepers filled the hearts of the Tainteds with belief.

On the fourth day, each group departed for the Shattered Sea, and by the end of the fourth day, 95% (ninety-five percent) of the group was annihilated by the changes and lies that occurred in the Shattered Sea.

Unlike what everybody thought and saw, the Eternal Waterfall was not the only thing that had changed after the disappearance of the Eternal Waterfall, even the sea itself had changed and what they saw was all an illusion.

The groups crossed the Water of Purity while making sure not to disturb or provoke the Goliathspawns which stood still without moving. It was an eerie sight seeing so many massive creatures not making a move, and for some, their instincts warned them of danger, but with the presence of the Ascendants and Dreadkeepers, majority ignored their instincts and continued moving forward.

With so many Ascendants and Dreadkeepers, what could go wrong?

Due to the vast size of the Shattered Sea, the groups used more than twelve hours to reach the center of the Shattered Sea, and this was with the help of Ascendants, Dreadkeepers, and Tier 5s.

However, by the time they reached the center of the Shattered Sea, that was when all hell broke loose on them without warning.

The world changed, and the Water of Purity which they had been walking transformed to the waters of hell.

The pristine clear water became a bloody red water that was as thick as blood and the Goliathspawns they passed by vanished. What they saw instead were the corpses and bones of the Goliathspawns floating on the now bloody Water of Purity.

Abominations surrounded them from the Water of Calamity and the now horrifying Water of Blood and Corpses.

Every single individual including the Ascendants were shocked and stunned when they saw this change, and they could not help but wonder how they had noticed that anything was amiss.

They had been moving through an illusion for hours, but they still failed to notice anything?

The Ascendants were immensely shaken by this, and without hesitation, they barked out orders of retreat to all the groups. However, it was too late.

Vaerina, or to be more accurate, the current form of Vaerina which was a fusion of the reproductive parts of various male and female species, appeared before them.

Vaerina's mere presence invoked feelings of uncontrollable lust and desire in the minds of the Tainteds and Outsiders, and for those who had weak wills or who were inherently lustful, they lost control of themselves on the spot.

Consexual, forced, homosexual, and heterosexual sexual activities played out on the Shattered Sea. Males had sex with females and males with or without their consents, and females did the same.

To the horror of some, there were some that pleasured themselves with their weapons and items. It was an extremely bizarre sight that ended with the Tainteds losing control at the end of the day.

More than thirty percent of the Tainteds and Outsiders died just from the mere presence of Vaerina, and after the battle between Vaerina, the Frost Warden, the Maw, the Tentacled Scourge, the Abyssal Leviathan, countless abominations, and the Ascendants, Dreadkeepers, Tier 5s, and the less than five thousand Tainteds and Outsiders, 95% of the Tainteds and Outsiders perished.

Only a single Ascendant, three Dreadkeepers, and three Tier 5 Outsiders were left amongst the line up of Ascendants, Dreadkeepers, and Tier 5 Outsiders.

The three Tier 5 Outsiders that remained were Azhrun, Kaeran, and Mira Neryss.

Lyra Neryss died.

Among the abominations, the Principalities that died were the Frost Warden and the Abyssal Leviathan. These two Principalities were killed by the combined efforts of the Dreadkeepers and Tier 5 Outsiders, but unfortunately, the corpses of both the Principalities were stolen by an unknown figure.

This angered the last remaining Ascendant, the Dreadkeepers, and Azhrun, Kaeran, and Mira Neryss. Some of them desired to find the thief, however, on the sixth day after the survivors returned to the City of Drennath, the city was attacked by Vaerina and her children.

By the end of the sixth day, the City of Drennath was no more, and one of the top cities of the Shattered Dimension was a thing of the past.

On the seventh day, the region of the Shattered Sea was sealed off by more than ten Ascendants, and after the seventh day, it was known to all that the death zone called the Shattered Sea was now among the most dangerous death zones of their world.

On the eighth day, people called the seventh day, The Calamity of The Queen's Last Song.
