Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 624: 623: SSS Clear Tier 3 Choices

As Corey went through the descriptions of the basic skills that had been given to him, he thought about the pros and cons of each skill.

Noxious Chains was a skill that piqued his interest for one main reason, it was a Control skill. A poisonous control skill.

He lacked a Control skill, and although he had never needed one, he knew that a Control skill could be extremely useful.

If there was one thing he wished to know about the skill, it was how strong the chains were.

What made the chains stronger?

Was it the quality of one's mana?

The quality of the poison in the mana of a Poison Warlock like him?

One's understanding and mastery of the skill?

Corey wished to know all of these just out of pure curiosity, though, he didn't dwell on it for even more than two seconds.

Whether it was the quality of one's mana, the quality of the poison in one's mana, or the mastery one had of the skill, none of that mattered to him.

He had a Poison Infinity Crystal in him which meant that his mana and the poisonous nature of his mana was of an extremely high quality.

The next skill, Poison Bomb, was slightly surprising to Corey because he remembered being given the option of choosing this skill when he advanced to Tier 2.

If he was to guess, Poison Bomb was an extremely basic and common attack skill that most people with a poison-based class skill possessed.

Very few would choose to be like him and ignore a basic attack skill that most poison-based classes needed.

Although Corey knew this, he was still not interested in choosing the Poison Bomb skill.

If he wanted, he could create the skill on the spot because of his Poison Manipulation skill. It was extremely easy for Corey to create this, but he chose not to because he saw no use for it.

After Poison Bomb, the next skill was Venomous Shadow Step.

The skill was intriguing to Corey because it was a movement technique, an instant movement technique. It was sort of surprising to Corey that there was a movement technique that involved the use of poison.

However, Corey knew that he was not going to choose it because he had a much better movement technique. There was no reason for him to choose another movement technique that was obviously of a lesser grade than the Lightning Movement Art.

Although, if he had the opportunity to obtain the skill later in the future, he wouldn't hesitate to obtain it because he was intrigued by the prospect of having a Poison Movement Technique.

Just like Poison Bomb, Venomous Shield was one of the skills he could have chosen from after he advanced to Tier 2.

And just like Poison Bomb, Corey was certain that most people with a poison-based class had Venomous Shield as a basic defensive skill.

He was also not interested in the skill because he had a much better skill. A skill which he created and was already a core part of his skill set.

'I wonder if I'll ever switch my Hexagon Nova Shield to another defensive skill... I doubt it though.'

Apart from the fact that the Hexagon Nova Shield was his self-created skill, it was a defensive skill that had so many functions, and he knew that there were very few defensive skills like his.

Toxic Erosion was another skill that intrigued Corey, and that was because the skill did not target living things but non-living objects., and it was also a passive skill.

Such a skill would delight most people with a poison-based class because the skill would allow them to destroy the armours of warriors and the magical barriers of mages.

Corey was also intrigued by this skill, but he knew so many poisons that could do the same as the skill, and he would rather choose to make these poisons than choose the skill.

Besides, he doubts he would ever need the skill because he had other skills that could enable him to cause immense damage to the armours, weapons, and barriers of his opponents.

The last and final skill that truly piqued Corey's interest was the last skill called, Chimeric Venom.

Corey did not know why, but he had a feeling that Chimeric Venom was not a skill that was meant to be in the list of basic clear choices.

'Maybe the skill isn't of a high enough grade to include in a SSS grade clear list of skills?'

'Maybe if it was a S grade or SS grade clear list of skills, then the skill would be included there.'

Corey furrowed his brows in thought but chose not to think further on a matter that was of no importance to him.

To him, the skill was more dangerous than the remaining skills, and he already knew that he was going to choose it.

He knew that with time he would able to create a similar skill or a poison that can do the same thing as the skill, but since he could choose such an ability as a skill, then why shouldn't he?

"I choose Noxious Chains and Chimeric Venom."

The moment Corey said these words, the four other skills became gray, and then they slowly vanished.

Corey felt a strange sensation in his Sea of Consciousness, and what came with it was knowledge on how to use his two new skills.

He focused on his Poison Infinity Crystal and his mana, and he realized that there was an extremely subtle change in his mana.

He knew it was the Chimeric Venom skill, and he studied his mana for some time before dispersing it with a satisfied expression.

"Time for the SSS grade choices."
