Chapter 625: 624: Decision
[SSS CLEAR REWARDS]
[Choose any two out of the five skill options below]
Plague Requiem: This skill allows you to absorb all toxins, miasmas, and poisons that are in a 100m radius into your body. This drastically boosts your physical stats for a short period. However, once the effect ends, you suffer a minor backlash depending on how much poison absorbed.
Miasmic Blood: Transform your own blood into a living toxin and infect anything that comes into contact with it.
Poison Revitalization: This skill allows you to use poison to heal yourself.
Eldritch Plague: Your poison becomes capable of infecting thoughts and emotions, causing your enemies to experience hallucinations, paranoia, or even madness as the poison seems into their very perception of reality.
Toxic Domain: You're able to temporarily create an area saturated with hyper-concentrated poison, where only you are immune. Enemies inside suffer from weakening effects, blurred vision, and slowed reactions.

As Corey went through the list of skills he could choose for obtaining an SSS grade, he felt an emotion that was absent when he was to choose the Tier 3 basic skills for his class.
Indecision
Corey was stumped because majority of the skills were good and extremely appealing to Corey, and if he had the opportunity, he would choose them all.
However, he could only choose two.
The first skill, Plague Requiem. It was a skill that opened Corey's eyes to the unique and different utilization of poison.
He had never thought of absorbing the toxins, miasmas, and poisons around him to increase his physical strength. He knew that there were poisons that could increase one's physical strength, but they always came with drawbacks.
Having a high enough poison resistance or a cure for the poison was advised, but most would rather choose to not consume poison to just obtain an increase in their physical stats.
Corey knew of this, and although he had plans on creating some unique poisons if he was able to survive the chaos that would ensue once he left the Underworld, it was not his priority.
The skill was extremely appealing to Corey but there were a few questions Corey had about the skill.
His stats had already broken the universal limit, and if he was to absorb the poisons and toxins in a 100m radius, by how much would his physical attributes increase?
What determined how much increase he would get?
Was it the grade of the poisons and toxins in the air?
What if he was not in an environment that was filled poisons and toxins?
Would that mean that he would have to absorb his poisons and toxins for this skill to be useful at all times?
There were so many questions that went through Corey's mind as he pondered on the Plague Requiem skill, and because of this, he decided to shift his attention towards the other skill.
After Plague Requiem was Miasmic Blood, and this skill greatly intrigued Corey.
Corey's mana had an extremely poisonous attribute to it, but because he was always fighting Mystic Beings, his mana was not able to show just how deadly and horrifying it was.
If he was fighting a talented Tier 3, the Tier 3 would be horrified by how Corey's mana alone could cause severe injuries to their bodies.
Only Mystic Beings and above could ignore the poisonous nature of Corey's mana, but no mortal or astral being could. His mana was the mana of a Poison Infinity Crystal and an Earth Infinity Crystal, it was beyond the abilities of Mortals and Astral Beings.
Although Corey's mana had a poisonous nature to it, his blood and body did not.
If the Poison Infinity Crystal was removed from his body and he was devoured by a Mystic beast, the chances of the beast dying because of his Poisonous Mana was low because his body did not possess a poisonous nature to it.
'My mana is poisonous but my blood is not. What if my blood becomes poisonous?'
'Would my blood be able to damage my opponents whenever I get injured?'
'How poisonous would my blood be?'
'Will it use the same poisons from my Poison Infinity Crystal?'
'Or will it use a different type of poison that would be given to me by the Universal System?'
Corey furrowed his brows once he had this thought, and then he stared at the skill once again with a pondering light in his eyes.
'The thought of having poisonous blood sounds great and appealing, but of what use is it in combat?'
'Is my blood going to become corrosive?'
'Or is my blood going to release an odorless poison in the air when I get injured?'
'My constitution is extremely high and I'm certain that the number of Mortals and Astral Beings that can damage or cause injuries to my skin are extremely few.
'Even if I get injured when fighting Mystic Beings, that does not mean that my poisonous blood would harm them.'
The moment Corey had this thought, he could not help but sigh. The more he thought on the pros and cons of Miasmic Blood, the more he realized that it was not actually worth it.
The thought of having poisonous blood sounded cool and all, but in battle, it was of no use. Especially when he would be fighting Mystic Beings.
The third skill, Poison Revitalization.
Poison Revitalization was one of the SSS grade skills he was asked to choose from after he advanced to Tier 2 in the past.
Corey was certain that the skill was extremely useful, but unfortunately, he had no use of it.
His Dream Healing skill was an extremely powerful healing skill that healed more than just physical injuries. It also healed the mind by soothing it and it could also heal injuries that were even caused by Mystic Beings.
Dream Healing was an extremely overpowered healing skill, and Corey had never seen a healing skill that was as powerful as his.
Due to the Dream Healing, Corey already knew that he was not going to choose the healing skill, Poison Revitalization. In fact, he had this subtle feeling that he was never going to substitute Dream Healing for another skill.
It was strange, but he had that feeling.
Eldritch Plague was a skill that subconsciously made Corey to look at his fingers. He had a feeling that he got this skill because of the Nightmare Fingers, however, he was not certain.
The feeling was extremely strange because he had only ever heard of the term 'Eldritch' from novels and books he read before the apocalypse.
He had never read or seen any information on beings called Eldritch Beings, however, for some reason he had a feeling that the term 'Eldritch' was related to the Nightmare Fingers.
What Corey did not know was that the term 'Eldritch' was unknown to those of New Earth because the word had been wiped away from their minds, but because of his talent of Omniscience, he was able to recall the word, 'Eldritch'.
However, it would take a very long time before Corey realized this.
The last skill, Toxic Domain was a skill he already decided to choose.
He lacked domain skills and the only skill he could use when facing multiple enemies was Arcane Elemental Rune weaving. However, Corey wanted to hide the fact that he could weave runes as much as possible.
Also, he had a feeling that he would be able to integrate his Phantom Plague Axe Intent with the Toxic Domain skill.
As for whether the skill would be able to damage Mystic Beings, he knew he would be able to find a way with it.
Toxic Domain was an extremely useful attack skill and he wanted it.
"Fuuuhhh Ahhh."
Corey exhaled loudly, and then he went through the list of skills one more time before he made his decision.
"I choose Toxic Domain and Eldritch Plague."
