Chapter 761: 758: Leaving
"Once you fuse with my heart, you'll become an entirely different race... And you'll draw the attention of so many... beings and entities."
Despite hearing the graveness in the tone of Prince Zakar'el, Corey's expression remained the same.
He already knew that he would become an entirely new race, but he had no idea that this would attract the attention of many powerful entities.
He was not certain about the significance of him fusing with Prince Zakar'el's heart, but he had a feeling that it would be immense.
'I'll have to ask Nina some questions.'
If Corey knew just how significant his fusion with Prince Zakar'el's heart would become, he would not be treating it with such levity.
Instead, he would be extremely solemn.
Corey calmly looked at Prince Zakar'el who was also looking at him.
Although he could not see the expression and eyes of the last Letherion Prince, he could feel the anxiousness radiating from him.
"I don't know what I'll face in the future, but... I'm sure that I'll overcome it... no matter what."
Prince Zakar'el remained silent for some seconds, and then he shook his head.
"Hopefully... you don't die and continue on the right path."
Corey smiled, "I won't."
Prince Zakar'el scoffed at Corey's arrogance, and then he tapped the throne Corey was sitting on.
The moment he tapped on the throne, it glowed with a bright white light as countless runes appeared on the throne.
Corey looked at the armrest of the throne with raised brows.
"I'm sending you back to your world."
Corey looked at the Prince with slight surprise in his eyes.
"What? Did you think I was not going to let you leave so easily? Or that I'll try to capture you and prevent you from leaving just because of the secrets that are in you?"
Corey said nothing, but his gaze vividly showed his answer, and Prince Zakar'el scoffed.
"Although it's tempting, I can sense a fraction of the power of your Progenitor, and it is frightening."
"Others might not be able to sense it at all, but after experiencing the depths of the power of my Father... I'm able to sense it."
Corey's expression remained calm and indifferent despite hearing the words of the last Letherion Prince.
He looked around, and as the seconds ticked by, he could feel the throne accumulating void energy from the surroundings to teleport him back to New Earth.
He wished he could use his Eye of Omniscience to observe all the runes on the throne, but he could not... unfortunately.
He had to stick with observing and analyzing the runes that were in his line of sight.
"By the way, what's going to happen to this place after I leave?" He asked distractedly and out of curiosity as he continued studying the runes on the armrest of the throne.
"It would disintegrate, and whatever power and authority that's trying to obtain my coffin and heart would vanish.",
Prince Zakar'el replied, not knowing whether he should applaud or rebuke Corey for his current actions.
He had just survived storing his heart in a strange dimension in his eyes and trying to analyze the cube of esoteric runes, but despite just barely surviving these two recent instances, he still dared to observe and analyze the runes on the armrest of the throne.
To the Prince, Corey was either just rash and reckless, or he had immense confidence in himself to survive.
'What a reckless fellow... I just hope that he doesn't die and he's able to save my people.'
Prince Zakar'el thought without a change in his expression.
"What of the monster outside?"
Corey asked another question distractedly, and Prince Zakar'el tilted his head slightly.
The urge to correct Corey's words while putting him in his place surged in his heart, but he just released a soft sigh without laying a finger on Corey.
"He'll die since he has fulfilled his mission."
"Hmm."
Prince Zakar'el's lips twitched when he heard Corey's reply to his words.
He was expecting another question from Corey since he could see that Corey was an extremely curious type with countless thoughts and questions running through his mind, but to his surprise, Corey remained silent and so did the throne room.
The only sound that could be heard was the sound the throne made as it was being filled with a vast amount of void energy.
Luckily for Corey, the runes on the throne were complex, but not so complex to the point that his mind felt like it was about to shatter.
Although the runes were not as complex as the cube of esoteric runes, it was still extremely complex for Corey to grasp and understand.
He had been focusing on just one rune, and his understanding of the rune was not even close to 1%.
He knew that most would consider what he was doing as foolish and pointless because what was the use of trying to understand just a single rune out of a billion runes in a formation?
Just that single rune would most likely not help him, but Corey realized that it was fun.
Trying to learn and understand something that was so complex to the point that even with his numerous Stars of Consciousness, he could not understand it immediately or at an extremely fast pace, was fun for Corey.
He just found the process of trying to understand extremely complex runes... more interesting.
Aside from this, Corey was also benefiting from sitting on the throne through his Void Phoenix Heart.
Some of the void energy that was being absorbed into the throne was being siphoned by his Void Phoenix Heart.
If he wanted to, he could have siphoned all the void energy that was going into the throne for himself, but that would just be him making more problems for himself.
"One last question before I'm teleported out of here... How far am I from my world?"
This time around, Corey looked at Prince Zakar'el.
Prince Zakar'el remained silent for some seconds, and the glow on the throne brightened.
He glanced at it before replying to Corey's question,
"More than a thousand universes apart."
Corey's expression did not change despite hearing this, and he just nodded in response.
Three seconds after he nodded, a dark grey light engulfed his entire body and he shot into the sky of the dimension as a ray of light.
Prince Zakar'el looked at the departing Corey for some seconds, and then he looked at the throne for an unknown amount of time before mumbling softly.
"The Defying Paragon huh?... I have done all I could for my people... Hopefully... you don't follow the path of evil."
