Chapter 762: 759: So It's You
As Corey felt himself shuttling through the void at a speed that was completely incomprehensible to him.
He tried observing and analyzing the runes that surrounded him as he moved through the void, but the runes were extremely complex and ever-changing.
After some time, he decided to shift his focus to something else since he was barely making any progress in understanding the runes.
He could not observe his surroundings because he was moving too fast for him to even catch a glimpse of anything substantial. The only thing he could see were colors.
'Nina.'
He called out to Nina inwardly, but he received no response.
He frowned.
'Nina.'
Corey still received no response from Nina, and his frown deepened.
He could still feel her presence in his body along with the countless nanobots that were in his bloodstream was a sign that Nina was still alive and functioning.
But for some reason, she was not responding to him.
'Hopefully, she becomes responsive once I get back to New Earth.'
Corey thought, and then he shifted his thoughts to several other things like Prince Zakar'el's heart and the knowledge he gained while conversing with the last Letherion Prince.
While doing this, he did not know when he suddenly closed his eyes and lost himself in his thoughts.
As he did this, his Void Phoenix Heart entered a tranquil state, and streams of void force began passing through the runes and flowing into his heart.
In this tranquil state, Corey could subconsciously feel his void energy stores increasing in his Void Phoenix Heart with every passing moment, and this was immensely beneficial for him because it was solving a small problem he had with his Void Phoenix Heart.
The quantity of void energy he had in his heart.
Having such a problem was surprising to Corey because if there was one thing that was extremely unique about him, it was the amount of energy he had in him.
Whether it was mana, spiritual energy, mental energy, soul energy, or vital energy... he had a lot.
As a Tier 3 with three Infinity Crystals, a Cosmic Soul, a Demi-Paragon body, and the talent of Omniscience... His energy stores were so vast to the point that it could rival a low level Tier 7.
However, there were two different energies he had which had far inferior quantity compared to the above.
Dream and Nightmare Energy.
Void Energy.
The quantity of these two energies were not as vast as the others, especially his Void Energy.
This was the reason why Corey could not use a lot of his Void Phoenix powers.
For example, Void Flames and Void Wings.
Using Void Flames consumed a lot of his Void Energy, and Void Wings consumed 97% of his Void Energy at once.
Because his Void Phoenix Heart was newly formed, the Void Energy in it was 'little.'.. At least for Corey.
Absorbing the Void Energy from the throne in Prince Zakar'el's dimension, and his current absorption of Void Energy was increasing the quantity of his Void threefold.
Corey became lost in his thoughts as he shuttled through the void in what some would call... peace.
The void was like home to him.
An unknown amount of time later, a pop resounded across the void as Corey suddenly vanished.
----
CRACK!
CRACK!
CRACK!
Lound cracking sounds that was akin to a crack running across a large piece of glass drifted into Corey's ears, and his eyes instantly snapped open.
Before he was able to take a look at his surroundings. A chill ran across his body as he felt the brush of death that was extremely close to him.
His instincts screamed at him, and without hesitation, he unleashed a powerful pulse of mana from his body, shaking the waters for over half a kilometer.
The scent of death was pushed further away from him, and he finally looked around.
When he saw what had caused his instincts to scream at him, he could not help but release a sigh of relief.
All around him, from the tip of his hair to the sole of his feet were trembling spatial cracks that were inches away from cutting him into pieces.
Normally, he would not have been afraid of the spatial cracks because of his Void Phoenix Heart, but his instincts were constantly warning him about the spatial cracks.
Apart from this, he could feel something unusual about the spatial cracks... The space cracks just didn't feel... normal to him.
And after his experience with the Supreme Tribulation Eye which prevented him from teleporting in any way or form, he had a feeling that the spatial cracks were done by either the Supreme Ancestor or a powerful Supreme.
His release of a powerful pulse of his unique mana had helped him to pause the movement of the spatial cracks for two seconds, and he used the opportunity to escape without hesitation.
His Tri-Pupil Eyes appeared, and the two golden triangular pupils rotated as Corey set his gaze on a peak Tier 4 aquatic beast that was a hundred meters away from him.
He vanished, and the Tier 4 aquatic beast appeared in his place.
Due to it not being able to comprehend and notice that it was no longer where it was, it continued swimming forward.
Before it could react, it swam into a spatial crack, and its body was instantly split in two.
It died.
Corey observed this for a brief moment, and then his gaze landed on the coffin which was being swallowed by a large spatial crack that had appeared beneath it.
Corey looked at it for a few seconds, before looking up with a calm gaze.
A platform of hexagon barriers appeared beneath his feet, and then he took a step forward.
The moment he raised his feet, another platform of hexagon barriers appeared beneath his feet.
And in the blink of a mortal's eye, a transparent stair of hexagon barriers appeared to the surface of the Black Sea.
Corey calmly climbed the stairs of hexagon barriers with his hands in his pocket.
His Breath of Omniscience hid his presence from any aquatic beast or monster and also helped him to not be bothered by lack of oxygen.
Infinite Mirage made sure that no aquatic beast or monster saw the stairs of hexagon.
As Corey climbed the stairs, his eyes turned pure white as he looked up.
A few seconds later, his face twitched when he saw the scene above.
Approximately two minutes later, he reached the last step and stepped out of the Black Sea.
The moment he did, his gaze landed on a familiar figure.
Tessa Liora of the Temple of Flames.
"So it's you." She said while tilting her head slightly.
